X-Codes' Lotto and Bumping Contest
The game is simple, I'm certain you've all played before. The winner of the lotto will recieve 20,000 gold and the winner of the Bumping Contest will recieve 5,000 gold.
First, some rules to play by:
1) Follow the rules universal to GAIA, The GAIA Exchange forum, and the Lotto/Money Games sub-forum. These are all listed in the appropriate stickies. Violators will be reported to the moderators. Their tickets will be confiscated without refund and any reserved tickets will be canceled. They will be prohibited from purchasing more tickets in this or future lotteries I host.
2) No flaming. Don't flame me, my friends, my enemies, or people of indecernable species. Violators will have their tickets confiscated without refund and any reserved tickets will be canceled. They will be prohibited from purchasing more tickets in this lottery.
3) To purchase tickets, put "Lotto201" somewhere in the trade description. Repeat offenders will pay a fee of 50 gold for each extra offense or be prohibited from purchasing further tickets until it is paid. If you word your trade flag in such a way that it sounds like a donation (ex: "Money for you") I will accept it as such, otherwise I will simply reject the trade.
4) Only people purchasing at least 10 tickets are eligable for the bumping contest. You may immediately begin participating in the bumping contest and later purchase 10 tickets. All bumps will count.
5) Tickets may be reserved or purchased with items. Details are in the next section.
Next, the Lotto and how it will work:
For this lottery there will be 3,000 tickets available for purchase. Each ticket will cost 10 gold, and each has an opportunity at winning the owner 20,000 gold. As tickets are purchased I will list the ticket owners by the number of tickets they have purchased and, below that, list the lottery numbers each person owns. This information will be updated on the second post with each trade I complete. The winner will be selected with GAIA's own random number generator.
Tickets may be purchased with items, yet at this time I am extremely limited in my means to accept them. I can only offer one-half the item's purchase price (rounded down to the nearest 10 gold) as counting toward tickets. Items without a purchase price will be rejected.
Tickets may also be reserved. In order to do so, send me a PM with "Lotto201" in the subject line with the number of tickets you wish to reserve, up to a maximum of 50 tickets at a time. If you have unpaid tickets one week after I recieved the PM, the remaining reserved tickets will be canceled and a fee of 50 gold will be required before you are allowed to purchase further tickets.
Also, the Bumping Contest and how it will work:
For this Bumping Contest, I will count the number of bumps each person makes on this thread until I make the post with GAIA's random number generator and award 5,000 gold to the person with the most bumps at the end of the Lottery.
As stated above, you must have 10 tickets to participate in the Bumping Contest. You may begin bumping immediately and purchase the tickets later, but you must have 10 tickets when the lottery ends or your Bumping will have been in vain.
The third post will have the statistics to the bumping contest. It will be updated once or twice daily. Bumpers with their names in red have not yet purchased their tickets while bumpers with their names in green are in the green, so to speak.
Thats all there is to it! The Lottery and Bumping Contest officially begin as soon as the Traffic Tracker poll is started!
