This is exactly the kind of thing we want:

This is the real thing:

Unfortunately they only have one position and you have to be a Halloween 2K5 Zombie to have one. To understand more about this madness, read the FAQ
Just two words should stop people whining about Grunny Plushies... Mythrill Halo
What are Grunnies???
http://gaiaonline.pbwiki.com/Grunny
Grunny is one of those characters that really defines a site. The first we heard of Grunny was at the start of the Halloween 2004 update, when LabTech247 gave LabTech101 a little green bunny rabbit, which 101 called Grunny, for "Green Bunny.". The users of Gaia immediately latched on to the concept, and when 101 was zombified, on his head was a small, green, red-eyed rabbit. For a long time, grunnies were merely a historical curiosity of the plot; the only time they appeared after H2K4 was in a statement by LabTechX at the Second Gaian Anniversary Ball. He stated, simply, "GRUNNY LIVES!"
Suddenly, during the Halloween 2005 update, Grunny was back into the plot. LabTech123 was shown holding a Grunny, and there was a room full of caged grunnies behind him. Immediately following, LabTechX released the grunnies into the mansion, sparking the zombification process for the H2K5 event. Grunnies appear to be numerous, as several million of them were captured during that event. From the April Fools 2006 flashback, it can be speculated that Grunnies are in fact a mutation of zombies and human rabbits(hence the Grunny appearing on 101's head). Their dominant behavior is infecting hosts by rapidly reproducing themselves, apparently by incubating in the human brainstem until they burst forth from the back of the skull, creating a Grombie.
It remains to be seen what Grunny and all the grunnies that resemble him will do during the coming plot updates, but their popularity amongst the users has virtually guaranteed them a spot in future continuations of the storyline.

FAQ
question Q1: Why grunnies?
exclaim A2: There are a number of plushies on gaia, but grunnies are the only ones that are not present. I have a real grunny plushie so why can't I have one on Gaia?
question Q2: Why would you want a grunny plushie?
exclaim A2: Grunnies are a big part of Gaia and some people do have them but are not avaliable as items to trade or buy. Plus the existing one only has one position. Making a plushie would be a solution to this.
question Q3: "Shouldn't only 2K5 Level 5 zombies have grunnies because they worked so hard on halloween for them?!"
exclaim A3 (I) : There are people on Gaia who may have joined after Halloween or people that maybe couldn't have made it online. Who's to say they can not have Grunnies just because they were prevented of being online in some way and may have tried just as hard if they were online.
exclaim A3 (II) : This also offers the chance to have a grunny without being a zombie.
exclaim A3 (III) : Another reason for this petition is for the Level 5 zombies who have used their vile and lost their grunny, they may want a substitute.
exclaim A3 (IV) : The actual grunny would not be the real thing. It would have have visible stitches (more so than the others anyway) and maybe even red button eyes. You could even call it a 'Fake Grunny'. The zombies would still get the real deal and still be more special than everyone else.
question Q4: "So what if people couldn't get online, get over it! It was a one time thing like the Halo's or Devil tails."
exclaim A4: That is true but unlike the Halo's or Devil tails you are not able to sell a zombified Grunny.
question Q5: "I like my grunny, why should others like you get it???"
exclaim A5: There should at least be the slightest chance for people to have a substitute as the Grunny thing does cause some problems between people. I should know...
Again the zombies would still have the real deal.
question Q6: "I hate you and grunnies and your petition is crap!"
exclaim A6: I don't want any trouble, pm me if you are angry for some reason.
question Q7: If this does work how would it be released?
exclaim A7: It may be best released as a donation item or as a quest. That way people can still trade and sell them...
The wierd thing is... the 2K5 Grombies don't seem to have stated they have a problem with this petition in this thread. It's just normal Gaians and Zombies seem to be taking up the argument for them.

There are plenty of arguments for and against...

As has been said, we did answer "yes" to the question of "Should a Grunny plushie item be made on Gaia?" however in no way did we indicate how the item may function with everyone's avatars. There are a number of members in this thread wearing the Grunny slippers and shirts, are they affecting the visual value of the lvl 5 zombie avatar? Personally, I do not think so, but if that is not the case I would like to know. These other grunny related items show that members like the grunny and wish to have grunnies of their own, and can be available alongside the lvl 5 zombie avatars and not devalue their appearance.
I can assure you that your voices have been heard. 3nodding We do wish to release a Grunny plushie at some point, but when and how it may be viewed when equipped is still being considered. heart

You have an awesome idea there, and i would totally buy one or two no clue how many if Gaia release them (which i doubt since it was one time event).
But i still think that is a bit unfair for Grombies (the actual name of the particular Zombies). There are like 100+ ONLY left among millions of Gaians and still have the patience to stay like that without being able to equip nothing at their heads. The grunny does makes them special. Why should we take this privilege away from them?
So yep for those people that would be unfair if all of a sudden every newbie could afford to have that certain something at their heads while they keep it there patiently for so many years.I'll put it that way. Say YOU are a Grombie, that happens and you see every nOOb (not newb, but in this case even the newbs yes) entering the arena with the Grunny at their head while you kept it there for so many years unable to equip a single thing at your head. How would you feel then?
Hope you understand and don't take this wrong. Is just my opinion. And please don't add my signature,i just said my opinion. ^^

That is why I feel that releasing these in a long quest is more acceptable than an MC. This petition started way back in Jan 06 only a few months after the Grombie event itself, so the rest of us who first signed this petition have been as patient not having a Grunny. If I were a Grombie and I saw a n00b with a Grunny I'd just think how special I was to have a 'real' living virtual grunny instead of the 'fake' Grunny plushie people are carrying around on thier heads. This item is no different than the shirts or slippers. It's not actually a real grunny.

I hated the H2K5 event ("YOU STOLE MY GRUNNY, b***h!" was waaaaay too common a response during that event rolleyes and so many "I'm locking you out of my thread!" and "Grunny Prommies" and I could go on and on...), so I would hate for this to be an event item where Gaians have to step on each others' toes in order to get them (I like the newer way of doing events with the floating items you have to catch).
IF Gaia promises to make the Grunny Plushie for avis an item that does NOT cause riots amongst the users, I'm game 3nodding
So, I suppose that means,

As a zombie of the Halloween grunny event, I have very mixed emotions on this issue.
I busted my a** (on dial-up at the time) to become a zombie, and it was completely frustrating to never achieve the grunny status. Between the slow net speeds, the fact that I had real life to attend to, and just the way the event ran....getting locked out of threads, etc... it was MORE-than-a-bit disappointing in the end. I am however quite content to remain a zombie without a grunny.
Why you may ask? There are a few reasons. If you are a zombie, and in particular a zombie with a grunny, from that event... you likely stayed awake for hours on end trying to reach that status. We worked HARD for it. It wasn't something to be bought. It was something to be EARNED. And yes, there was unfairness in the event if you couldn't put that amount of time into it or had a slow net connection, but life isn't fair. In a lot of ways, Gaia immitates real life at times. It has an economy, there are cliques, status symbols, etc.... and just like in real life, you can't always get what you want. In addition, most who have coveted things in life (and/or coveted pixels on Gaia), worked to get them. As for those who weren't members of Gaia at the time of this Halloween event, sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time. Period.
I think that when they released the grunny slippers, THAT was Gaia's answer to EVERYONE having a grunny item if they so desired. Anyone can go to the exchange/marketplace and spend gold on grunny slippers.
Do I still wish I had a grunny plushie? YES!!!! However, if grunny plushies are released to everyone, they won't be unique. It no longer becomes kewl to have if EVERYONE has it. If you want a grunny because it "defines Gaia" ... I direct you to buy a pair of grunny slippers.
In response to making the grunny appear to be stitched (or anything "similar" to a "real" grunny), I view this in the same manner that I view using a dark halo to make it look like a d-tail. It's not the real thing. Everyone knows it. It's no different than buying a fake designer handbag. You carry it around because you want the real thing, but can't have it. And worse yet, you're advertising it to the world. Better off not to have one at all in my opinion.
As for adding the grunny as an item earned in a "long quest", you'd have to make that quest last about 36 full hours of your life. And NO, I'm not joking! If you think I am, you obviously have NO CLUE how long it took to become a zombie for most of us. I don't think I've ever spent so much time sitting in front of a computer in my life. I'm not proud of it, and I'd never do such a thing again. But I certainly don't think it's fair to have replica grunnies in the future knowing how hard some people worked for them (and even I didn't get one).
I love the grunnies. <3 I want a grunny plushie and yet I must vote NO because it would be unfair to those who earned one.
Thanks for reading my opinion. :0)

Just as you have said in the past things like this have been done for both the Devil Tail and Halo all in one with the Dark Halo. Has that really effected the social status of the Devil Tail or the Halo? I think not, the're still the rarest of items and are regarded as a sign of greatness. Just like being a Grombie, there's no difference.
As for a long quest, I was there for that event I devoted loads of hours to obtaining my own Grunny, I don't mind doing it again. I'm pretty sure no one else would either. Well except for those who are too lazy to do it. It's not really that much of a problem.

All I have to say is this,
it doesn't f***ing matter if the zombies think they're oh so special that they think that they should be the only ones to have a grunny, if people want them, they should have them. Don't get me wrong, I've spent a good portion of my time devoted to seeking easter ,halloween, christmas, etc. items as well, so quit your pathetic ranting on how long you were on the computer to get an item, that only justifies your reasoning if you were hacked. I would like (as well as many others) would like to have a grunny that didn't have just one pose and be a zombie to get it. On a more material standards, people really want grunnies, if it became a MC people will buy loads of envelops, thus gaining a bit of revenue for Gaia Online. So it's more of a win/win situation with it. I will certainly sign this petition.
P.S.- If you wish to try to flame me, I am leaving this thread, and I am not going to bother with reading any comments that you make to my post. I am simply giving another side to the argument. If you don't like it, tough luck.

If you incourage a quest, the grunnies would be worthless and overused.
I would reccommned supporting an event where you must work for them very hard like the 2k5 or have them donation item, thus, making them truly special.

I am well informed on the issue of the grunny plushie. I support the idea! I hadn't joined Gaia yet when the Halloween event that created grombie avatars happened. Ever since I saw a level five grombie avatar I really wanted a grunny! I read up in various threads to discover why avatars with grunnies were so special and why some people oppose the idea of a grunny plushie. I figure as long as the plushie doesn't look too much like the real thing, then it would be fair. There are approximately 94 avatars with a grunny on their heads. Yes, it makes them EXTREMELY special and unique, but the grunny does come with its downfalls too. The avatars can't wear anything on their heads or have hair. It's a bigger sacrifice than most people realize. However, as previously stated, as long as the plushie didn't look too much like the real thing, then those avatars would still be able to maintain their uniqueness. This would also be a great way to give grunnies back to the people that had them but used their vile. I think that we ought to have a grunny plushie. We have the slippers and the shirt already. Why not a plushie too? 3nodding The good out-weighs the bad in this case.

First and foremost, I would love if you could spare the time to reply to me with my remarks retorted (if you can). Or, share our opinions and put this in your thread, if you wish (just please keep my name anonymous; thanks!). I had this whole long rant planned, but I’ll simplify and organize it for both our sakes. Apologies beforehand for any mishaps in spelling or grammar I might make.
- Have you or have you not read the excellent thread “The Controversy of the Grunny Plushie”? If you have not, I highly suggest you read it before furthering your petition. It provides the most information one might find on the topic (and has been active for over a year). If you need the link, reply and I will gladly provide it.
- Your link to the opinions of the Grombies is not very reassuring, as it was created two years ago immediately after the Grunnies were released. Those replies almost certainly have changed for the Grombies who kept their Grunnies for nearly two whole years. Might I suggest inquiring at the Zombie Nation for a more accurate, recent opinion?
- From the two aforementioned places, it appears that most Zombies and Grombies know they cannot be too selfish. If the Plushie would be released, it should
1. look different
2. not come with the Grombie/Zombie skin/eyes/etc.
3. not be “unequipable” with other head items OR not be available on the head at all
4. not be a donation item
OR it should only be given to those who reached Level 5 (but that is unfair for users who have used the vial so…)
- I personally feel that you are insulting the Grunny itself by turning it into a plushie similar to your examples. While they may be cute, they are not meant to be. Please consider sticking to role and characteristics of Grunnies in Gaia’s plotline when making thinking of making them into an item; the Grunnies do not deserve the injustice of being cuddly, hug-able pets. They are “evil”. ;K
- You are an early ’05-er, are you not? I should like to hear your story as to why you didn’t reach “zombiehood”, used the vial, missed the event, or didn’t care to participate in the event at the time. If you were of the latter two, then unfortunately you do not have the firsthand experience of working so bloody hard during the event. I myself just managed to become a Zombie (and in response to the others, the event was not bloodshed that you would not see in half of Gaia anyways), and I can only stress the amount of work put in to get so far. I have great respect for those who willingly gave up their time to earn something they found precious. For those who could not make it to the event- it is your own responsibility. You chose not to give up the time (there was time enough that you did not have to necessarily give up sleep to become a Grombie) and instead spend it doing in-real-life things. Gaians should all be over 13 years old, so it is not as though you could not get your parents to not take you on that trip or to give you the freedom to hang on Gaia. You were the one who did not care enough for the event to make your way to it, so you likely don’t deserve a Grunny at all.
- So what if it isn’t sellable? It’s rare enough for someone to sell a Grunny, let alone a Halo, anyways. Plus, the Grunny is a status that reflects effort, and no one truly deserves it (even if they pay up several million gold) unless they put in such effort. (Excluding anyone that may have earned a Halo through questing, if any) Halos are actually an item that was gotten by a simple donation. If you’re telling me the effort addressing and mailing an envelope is anything close to the effort Grombies put in during H2k5 I don’t know who you are trying to fool. A donation item, no matter the time or chance, could never be compared to the Grombie status because the Grombie status was only available (to everyone!) through participation in the event and only earned by few. If you didn’t earn it, you really do not deserve to just click "Buy Now" to own it.
- So pretty much my problem with having a Grunny plushie is that the average Gaian, myself included, does not come close to deserving it. It’s simply unfair in that aspect. I don’t think a quest in the world could give that excitement, enthusiasm, energy surrounding the H2k5 event, nor could a quest challenge a Gaian in a way that would make them deserve something they missed out on.
- And don’t forget, donation items would never work because of the previously mentioned effort deal. Not to mention, inflation and economy would be thrown completely out of control (and Gaia wouldn’t want that after all the effort they put into those gold sinks. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, direct yourself to the GCD for some fun economic lessons.).
- Finally, the thread I told you of in my first statement discusses the fact that Gaia has already said they will be coming out with a Grunny Plushie at a con a while back. When or how is unknown, but unfortunately and somewhat inevitably it is true, thus the very existence of your petition is questionable.
Thank you greatly for taking the time to read my comments. So sorry that I ended up half-ranting anyways ^^;; I await any replies you can afford me. Good luck supporting your own beliefs in your petition and have a pleasant day.
Thanks again

2. If I could access the Zombie Nation then I would gather information. Unfortunately it's zombies only. Just shows you there is social seperation in Gaia. Although I am a member of the Outpost and have been gathering opinions there.
3. This has already been addressed before. The grunny plushie again would be unique in appearence as well as NOT coming with any Zombie skin. A head item is another question, I myself think it is acceptable on the head as long as it's not in the Grombie pose. Oh and I agree on the Donation item thing, event or long winded quest is best.
4. Three very important things smash this one right out of the park. The Grunny plushie has already been used in this way; 1. Grunny Shirts, 2. Grunny Slippers and 3. Real Grunny Plushies. Point made.
5. Oh about me, well I'm English, 18 and was a Grombie. Well on a mule account anyway. The unfortunacy of my story (not that I ever actually whined about it) was the fact that the avatar glitched. Which in turn led me to create the petition on this account almost straight afterward. All that work I did on Halloween meant nothing (not to mention that living in th UK made it hell due to time differences). As I believe other former Grombies who had a similar problem did so as well.
6. That is why a quest or event with the same amount of effort is encouraged, but it does matter that it's not sellable. I figure that if the Grombie skin was sellable it would still be in circulation now instead of almost being extinct, and people would have worked just as hard to get one.
7. A long quest would seperate the people who are really willling to work for it and the actually lazy people who aren't. So it has it's positive points also.
8. As I have said I don't really like the idea of donation items either as for another thing, too many being brought would result in the items becoming worthless.
9. This petition is over a year old and was brought out way before that statement was announced so it's existance is not questionable. It only heightened the urge to carry on with the petition, especially after Halloween came and there was no Grunny release. It raised the statement as being questionable itself, so more signatures are evidentally needed.

I've always wanted a Grunny. Not because it's green; not because it's evil; but because it's rabbit-y!
I also disagree with those who say others worked for it. Sure they did; but shouldn't others have that chance? Besides which, what if you love the grunny, but not the zombie? (It would be an eternal problem for me.)
The best way to have this would be a quest; and a none-too-easy one at that. One which requires a little work, a little luck, and a little skill. Oh, and some time. That way NOBODY can complain that those who worked for their Grombie body-base are being "left out" as it were- because we're working for them too.
With that said, I think that Gaia should release millions of rabbits. Like, a little dutch, and a huge Flemish Giant, and a lop, and... Okay, never going to happen. They're taking over Gaia, man... ninja Seriously though, I'm whole-heartedly behind this. the only alternative in my opinion would be to go back in time and make the Grunny removable from the Zombie base, so people could sell them. But the impossibility of time travel makes that one unlikely.
So ANYWAY. Pardon my rambling. I am 100% behind you all the way; and I look forward to the day when decent-looking rabbits will grace Gaian avatars.

Grunnies are an important part of our gaian culture, they've appeared many times over in the storyline but have never been a part of our own inventory! In almost all of the halloween events we have had so far (note I said almost), they have made a generous appearance with much deserved praise. They have been almost as much of a halloween icon as Jack himself, maybe even more popular. As for the other pets, such as Mochi or even Robo, they have hardly made an impact at all or even been in much of the storyline, yet there are still items for them. Gaia put out grunny plushies for sale in the gaia store, but have not made them a part of it's own virtual collection. Perhaps maybe a grunny could spice up an entire outfit or even be the cutest little add on to an already great avatar. Even the actual grunnies that are available on the stage 5's aren't that great, you must look like a zombie to be able to wear one, not only that, the stage 5's have been discontinued because that halloween even featuring them has ended. People are no longer able to become grombies and those that already have them control all the power to them, usually never willing to sell them except for an insanely high price. Usually means that only very few people are able to even have the option of getting a grunny, though unlike the collectibles that have become very rare, such as the mini nitemare wings, you cannot buy a stage 5 avatar in the marketplace. Sure you can buy the vial of unknown liquid, but you can't use it as we once were able to. So it is in fact, almost impossible to get an actual grunny, which shouldn't be. I also believe that grunnies would be better as plushies than the actual thing, they would be cuter and actually able to be placed around on the avatar instead of just on the head. Also, with there being a long winded quest, as so mentioned before me, the item would indeed become useless. But as a donation item, it would go down very nicely, as you can see with the other donation items on gaia, such as the kiki or the coco, sure many people would have one, but that doesn't mean they would become so worthless. More new people will keep joining onto gaia and then see the grunnies and then that would also raise the demand for the item. With a raised demand also comes a chance for a raised supply price, as you see on many of the items on gaia. If you don't understand that, it is simple as this, "The more people want a product, the more people are willing to pay for that product." as quoted from my old business administration teacher. When people see that new gaians are ready and willing to pay a higher price for a grunny, they will take the chance and raise the price without much hesitation. It is a simple factor to survive in business. Which brings me to say that it would indeed be best to have a grunny plushie as a donation item. I also think that to keep the singularity of, and respect for, the stage 5's the grunnies should stay off of the head, as it would defeat their purpose and uniqueness. So without further ado,
Edit: Even with the gaians now buying tons and tons of grunnies, they will get rare after a while anyway, as they would be discontinued after the month is over. But the people will always be joining gaia, and seeing a grunny would also provoke them into buying one, which is also part of the suppy and demand. "A demand keeps growing unless the parties that have the demand stop growing." ~also by my old business administration teacher.

What do the Grombies really think?
