((Hehe, postathon! Here's Crimson now...))
2 or 3 years passed, with Crimson growing at much faster than the usual rate. He was already a 'teenager', and as such was also very mouthy and sure of himself. Still, we'd become good friends and he did acknowledge that I'd cared for him when there was no one else.
We were walking through the town one day, when a stranger came up to us. "You," he pointed at Crimson, "You are not a normal human boy."
"Well, duh, I'm only 3 years old!" he replied, rolling his eyes.
The stranger laughed, and looked straight at Crimson. "You'll know what I mean. Take a look at this." He handed him a map. "This is not just any map, it shows you the important locations for other like you."
Crimson took it. "OK, uh, thanks, but I still don't see what this has to do with anything. Hey, dude, come back here!"
But the stranger had already got onto a horse and left.
"Well, I guess we've got an adventure on our hands!" He grinned and took me by the arm. "Hey, c'mon, let's go!" I shook my head. I liked it here in my little village, now that I had someone to hang around with. I was a little scared by the prospect of leaving. "Aaaw, please! It's so
boring here!"
The tone of his voice reminded me of the first time I found his egg... I'd been thinking the exact same thing, and something good had happened. What made me think this time would be any different? "Alright. But we're gonna go pack and say goodbye to everyone first, OK?"
A few hours later, we were out on the road. This was gonna be great!
