My sister read the book 'City of Ember', or something like that awhile ago, and it's sequel (which I can't remember the name). In book 2, the land was basically wiped out. There were terrible diseases, no electricity, a small amount of food and things, and much more. Earlier, I was driving out of my driveway with my mom, and she got out to get the newspaper. On the side of the road, there was a dead squirrel (yes, gross). My mom said she saw some crows picking at it, and we started talking about crows. How they were scavengers and stuff. I started thinking about other things, and came up with this concept.

I. No stealing the art. Melo-san works very hard on the art, and Iaaaoh works hard on the graphics. Don't steal the concept, either.
II. Use the best grammar you can. Only people with good grammar can get Nahle. We don't care about ocasional typos, but don't typ3 l13k th1s!!!!1111!
III. No bumping. As long as you don't say 'bump', we're fine. It just gets annyoing. You can use emoticons, but don't spam.
IV. Don't flame. If you didn't win an auction or a flatsale, you can't complain about it. Just keep trying.
V. Absolutly NO begging. You get a Nahle when you deserve one. Sometimes dedicated lurkers and visitors will get... special treatment.
VI. The rules will be updated! If a new rule was added, you need to keep abiding by rule IV... don't complain!

RP Rules

I. When not RPing, chat in [[ OOC ]]s. You can use [[ hi ]], (( hi )), [ . hi . ], { hi }, or anything like that.
II. One liners; NO. Paragraphs; yes! We like paragraphs. At least two, we hope. They can be short, as long as they're good.
III. GRAMMAR. If you don't have it, learn it. omg rlly i dont leik when u talk leik this especally durin rp!!!!!!!!!111!!!11!!111!

Meria sat levitating in the air and turned around to look at Iune.
"So, what -do- we do?" she asked him steadily.
"Well, the humans obviously won't survive this epidemic..." he said bluntly, looking up at the sky.
"Oh that's nice. As Guardians we are supposed to protect living things," she said, obviously annoyed.
None of the Guardians really cared for the humans. They had killed their own planet, and never even thought twice about it... until bad things started happening. Diseases, polluted food and water, war; everything was lost. Meria and Iune were in the middle of a feild, one that they remembered as being lush and green. Trees once stood where decrepited old stumps were. Now it was just another dusty feild, no sign of life.
"Well..." Iune said slowly, "We could always mark a few humans."
"You mean like we did a long time ago?" Meria giggled, remembering how they had changed some human babies into giants and pixies.
"Not exactly," he said, frownding, "I'm saying this seriously. If it's our job to keep life on this planet, then we need to change some humans to be... well, better addapted."
"So what do we do? Steal some babies and turn them half-animal?" she joked.
"Exactly," he said, a glint in his eyes.

If it was anybody's job to chose the first babies, it was Meria and Iune's. The Guardians voted, and she wasn't happy. He was. After the babies had ben marked, which is basically chosing a few pregnant ladies and sending a Spirit with them, it was time to choose who would take the babies.

"We need to get special people to do this," Naur argued.
Naur was practically the leader of the Guardians. He was smart, good looking, and always came up with the best plans. A small handfull of Guardians, the head ones, were sitting in that same feild Iune had developed the idea in.
"Oh yes, are we going to make babies into baby theifs or something?" Meria asked sarcastically.
"Sure, that's a good idea!" Naur said, not noticing her sarcasm.
'Does anybody understand sarcasm anymore?' she thought, closing her eyes.
"I say we make a whole society, getting certain animal-children to do certain jobs," Iune suggested.
"Perhaps..." Kuia linger on the idea.
She seemed to look more interested in Naur then the whole thing they were talking about.
"I think it's a good idea," he suddenly said.
She suddenly started paying attention.
"Yes, yes, it is!" she said, more enthusiastically.

They started making a list. There were Scavengers, Warriors, Guards, and Recruiters so far.
"To balnce good with bad," Meria said, now being serious, "I think we should have theifs."
"But why?" Kuia said, noticing the puzzled look on Naur's face.
"Well, good can be linked to the downfall of the human race," Meria said, and paused, "You may not understand what I'm saying, but humans underestimated it."
"I see what you're saying," Nuar said slowly, and was quiet.
The whole group was actually quiet now.
"Maybe spies, then, too?" Iune suggested suddenly.
"Okay, okay, that sounds good," Nuar said, agreeing.
Kuia nodded her head in unison.
"How about..." she started.
"Yes?" he looked at her paitently.
"Oh nevermind..." she said quietly, turning to hide her blush.
"Sounds like we have a good list," Nuar announced to the group, "You can go now."
Everybody left quickly.

The first babies came quickly. Meria and Iune were assigned to them. There was one Crow-Scavenger, a female named Keisera, and one Panther-Theif, a male named Nii. They were human, but their Spirits, who now resembled the animal they were to become, tagged along where-ever they went. Soon it was time for the Spirit to merge. It was a harmless proscess, that basically took over night. While the baby was resting, the Spirit would slowly merge in, and when the baby would wake up, it would be so much different. Keisera had black feathers all over her body, and was now literally as light as one. She had deep, animal-like, black eyes and smooth black hair. Nii also had black fur, but bright yellow eyes and little claws. Soon he had small fangs growing out of his gums. Meria learned to like Keisera, but still douted her, of course, while Iune had always loved Nii... a little too much.

Padoru is located in the middle of what was once Eastern Europe. After the war ended, Padoru was the first 'county', if you may, to develop. Bordering it are Talik and Arpetia. Also, it is located on the shore of a polluted lake. Nahle and humans from Padoru rarely venture into Arpetia, for they are in a small war. Talik doesn't care about either, and considers themselves 'nobel' compared to others.
