Caroling How-To
World Map

Caroling is much as it was last year. You need to go around to the various NPC's stores, and click on the carol button to sing a song to the NPCs. There is about a 3 to 5 minute delay before you can carol at the next store. Once you've caroled to all the participating stores, go find Santa on the map (he moves about like Jack), and talk to him. He'll give you a gift.

Suggestion
If you want to make caroling go a bit faster, put the Gaia header into HTML mode. This is a bit redundant, but HTML loads faster than Flash.

Known Glitches

The Fixed
Rina Took a Powder: Rina's shop was inaccessable at the start of the event. It's since been fixed, but the Flower Exchange is still down.

Santa Can't Define Cheer: When carolling in towns, if you went to Santa with 100% cheer and tried to get your present, he would say "Couldn't Save!" and the Cheer percentage would come up NaN% until you logged back into Towns. It's been fixed, according to VO.

The Annoying
Agatha and Liam are too Good for Us: You can't access Agatha and Liam's stores on the world map. You need to go to another store (like Ian's) or use the links in the previous posts to get to their stores.

The Ugly
What do you mean, One Carol Left?!: Not sure if this is a glitch or not, but people are saying that Santa on the World Map will say that they need to carol at one more shop. All I can say is go around and make sure you got everyone, or perhaps log out, do a hard refresh (F5 in Firefox), and log back in. That might help.

Hey, I'm Very Authenticated: Some people will have a problem when caroling, where an NPC will say "User not Authenticated". Again, try logging out, hard refresh, log back in. If that doesn't work, just wait it out.

THIS IS NOT A GLITCH!
While you get the same gifts in both Towns and on the world map, the two carolling activities are on a separate track. Meaning, if you start carolling in Towns and get the first items before you decide to quit and carol on the world map, you will get the first item once you carol to all the stores and talk to Santa.
