So Janurary 1st is long gone and my quest has begun. From now on I shall save every bit of shiny gold I can get my hands on and hoard it like a magpie!

I shall try my best not to be distracted by cases of Shiny Object Disorder and remain focused on my goal! 3nodding

So I need a new quest...I am currently considering Forgotten Documents...I found this by accident and entered the Flat. I didn't get through to the second round but I really liked the atmosphere of the thread! xd

METASYNTH

Metasynth is my first love and the reason I joined Gaia. Run by the fabulous Kali and Brit this promises to be an exciting Battle Royale between science and nature.

FF7 AU RP. Each character has the oppertunity to aquire a synth born from a combination of materia.

Why I love Meta...

1) Kali, fellow lover of the pretty, myths, and NaNo challenger.
2) A really well thought out story. I love it. Wonderful concept.
3) RP....have become an RP monster and Meta is RP heavy.
4) Art...oh the art...Kali has a wonderful way of commanding teh pretteh!
5) Great people. I love hanging out on the Meta thread, everyone is fun, nice and angst/tension free.
6) Value for money. 20k which includes character art, cert and Synth. Bargin. 3nodding

I will be applying for the side of the Salvati. My original character was Skadi. A warrior from God's End. In light of the Flatsale I have decided to create a completely new character. One more in tune with my interests and thinking.

I knew a good character would appear eventually and yesterday she did....

I blame Ra for a lot of the influence of this. I was inspired by some of the fabrics and ideas whilst researching him.

coming soon...Isra the White Mage

So Isra comes from a nomadic tribe. They live in the desert of the AU near the Salvati mountains. [at least I'm assuming it is a desert. Need to check with Kali] Her particular tribe are mostly mages, their spouses and children. Isra's family are traditionally Blue mages...she is the black sheep of the family.

Yet again I have no scanner and I couldn't find any pictures of the style I was going for...sooo you'll have to put up with a digital pic of a crappy sketch I made.

The top tunic is based on a persian dance costume [X] under she wears a long skirt made of lighter material, possibly light trousers under that. [x] Both are blue, the tunic dark turquoise and the skirt a lighter sky blue. The scarves are brighter in colour and represent tribal alliances.

Under her left eye she has the word 'moon' written in her language (actually written in Egyptian Heiraglyphics = Iati [x])

I'm working on the profile at the moment.

MEANING:Medea = mythological sorceress. Amarante = Unfading.
AGE:25
ANCESTRY: Daughter of a Kinii politician.
PATRON DEITY: Artemis
ABILITIES: Magic & Necromancy. Will provide curses and oracle reading for a small price. Swift and good with a dagger.
LIKES:Old books, cooking (though she is terrible at it). Warm days, beautiful scenery and magic.
DISLIKES:Nosey people, neatness, small animals and spicey food.
APPEARENCE:Short. Long light brown hair. Very curly and hard to control. Green eyes. Dresses in flowing toga like dresses, much like the romans in our world.
PERSONALITY: A chaotic individual Medea often seems very disorganised. However, there is usually a method to her madness. She is more calculating than Hakim and very short tempered.
HISTORY: WIP

NAME: HAkim Real name = Khu
MEANING: Hakim means Wise. Khu means Protector
AGE: 26
ANCESTRY: Farmer's son.
PATRON DEITY: Isis
ABILITIES: Hakim is strong after spending his youth working in the fields. He is also fast and quick thinking. Dabbles in basic magic.
LIKES:Collecting things of Value, music, dance, animals, money and eating.
DISLIKES: Security systems, people who do not appreciate art, mess and sweet foods.
APPEARENCE:Medium height, chin length, straight black hair. Grey eyes. He usually wears kohl around them.
Since moving to Barton he has taken to wearing old fashioned suits. When lounging he wears a traditional linen kilt.
PERSONALITY: Positive and a bit superiour. Hakim rarely sees the downside of things. Bad opportunities are just good ones waiting to happen. He can be a bit OCD about tidiness and his collections. He likes things to be perfect.
HISTORY: Born to a poor farmer in rural Netara he spent most of his youth working hard and getting little fun from life.
At the age of 14 he ran away to the city and was taken in by a group of theives.
By the age of 16 he was part of a gang of tomb robbers and skilled at getting through mazes and traps.
When he met Medea at the age of 20 he was already a freelance assassin and thief. Medea was trying to make it back to her home country of Kinos. Hakim decided to join her as he wantd a change in scenery.
After 6 years of murder and plundering they had earned enough money to escape to Barton and buy a large house in the town centre.
