For many generations people have lived without
knowledge of this sanctum, but like a bird flying free from the nest, a time must come when you must be set free. The Souyoku have lived in this sanctuary since I can remember, since my ancestors can remember. As far as we know from documentation the Souyoku have been here even before we have. Even to this day we have no idea of the true meaning of their existence. Family folklore states that they are like a guardian angel, and others state that they are a good luck charm. But, there are times when there have been devil like Souyoku. They are called Deviline, while the more peaceful and less agressive are known as Angeline. Supposedly there is rumor of a mix breed,
what my family calls a Angeviline. Half Deviline, half Angeline.
I hope someday to find rightful homes for all of the Souyoku,
hopefully homes that won't leave them abandoned. I guess hoping is all one can do in this situation. Like when a mother bird forces the baby bird out of the nest, the mother hopes the baby will fly, but if it doesn't, it dies. All you can do is hope for the best.
Today is the day when the Souyoku will be released
into a new world in which they have never seen. They have been confined to this sanctuary for centuries, being guarded by my family and ancestors. And now has come the time for them to be taught of other worlds and other lands. Who knows what drastic effects this may have on them. Whether positive, or negative, we can only hope that things go well.
I am sort of what you would call their "breeder" I guess.
I feed them, maintain their environment here until they're ready to leave with a person I deem worthy. It might be you, it might be your best friend...or your worst enemy. But I warn you...when you become the caretaker of one of these they are very delicate creatures at a young age. They are very easily manipulated.
So...you want one eh? Don't say I didn't warn you about the hardships ahead.
