December 26, 2006 -- For the month of January, we have some events planned such a flatsale (either a flaffle or dice-roll) auctions, raffles, and etc. We, the staff of Aikos, greatly appreciate it if you could attend, and we can't wait until than!

November 12, 2006 -- Everyone welcome the new colorists, Beat Fu, Chieri and Sanura Panthress, as our new colorists! Sanura Pathress shall be working as a lineart/cosplay colorist but be sure expect more aikos in the future from all of our lovely colorists!

October 22, 2006 -- New lineart updates again Yes. Ohmygosh. But dont worry. For all of those people who own already updated aikos can make a request if they wish to update it again in the 'Lineart Update' post in the guild forums, and hopefully we can get to that. But the rules pertaining to the old lineart will still be the same, as you have to pay 3k to update it to the newer linearts.

October 4th, 2006 -- The Guild will be revamped and all topics deleted! Hopefully, we can gain more members. <3 I will be deleting all posts in a couple of days, so be warned!

May 29, 2006 -- We have a newb flatsale planned, and a care-bear event featurings 16 carebears! Where there will be auctions, raffles, games and more!

May 28, 2006 -- I know alot of people probably are not happy with with my decisions but i myself would think it's all for the best. This shop before was very laid back, and i'm just setting some strict rules.

One major problem are concerning the owners list. There has been a complaint, where it was unfair the old aikos were not added to the list. If we added one aiko, we need to add the rest of the old aikos in or it wouldnt be fair. You cant expect us to go running around searching for all existing aikos! After all this is a new shop right? New shop = only nw lineart. that may be unfair but that is the way it is.

Customs. People have taken advantage of the customs (I will not mention how) but i feel the need to revise the prices so that custom aikos remain rare and naturals even rarer. If custom prices are low, how do you expect the shop to prosper in auctions and such also?

Im sorry if i sound mean, but tis the way it's done! D:

May 23, 2006 -- Sai officially runs and owns the aiko shop! Not alot of changes will be made but definetly some!
Unique lineart for 500k will no longer be sold, Since i think Artsy has her hands full now with other things, unless Artsy wishes so.

Feb. 06, 2006 -- Saiyukii has been gracious enough to help me whip the shop into shape. All trades for new linearts have NOT been forgotten, and we do have some plans. You have all been amazing so far, and we ask for a bit more patience. Now that I have some steady help, you should start seeing the shop come out of hibernation.

Oct. 8, 2005 -- Ten pages reached! This is very encouraging, to say the least, XD The thread is almost completely set up information and text wise, so all we have to really do now is get banners and images plastered everywhere and things shall get rolling!

Stay tuned for halloween auctions with special lineart and nifty characters along with even perhaps a raffle! not to mention maybe a flatsale, but that is to be decided. Previews will come in a few days to a week.

    How do I get one?
    You can get an Aiko from flatsales, auctions, raffles, and other random (and free) events.

    How much do they cost?
    It depends on what you're trying to go through to get one. Flatsales are priced at 5k as a flat fee, raffle tickets cost 100g per ticket, and auctions we aren't very sure about yet.

    Are these roleplay required?
    No, of course not. However it is encouraged to do so. Not to mention that your Aiko will grow much faster if roleplayed.

    Where do I roleplay at?
    You can either roleplay in the thread, which is fine, or you can roleplay in the guild:

    Is there a limit to how many I can have?
    Nope, absolutely not. However if you have a million Aikos already, we would hope that you would at least give other people a chance to get an one whenever an event rolls around.

    Will you PM me when my Aiko grows with the tag?
    Absolutely not. It's your responsibility to stay up to date with the thread. If you think your Aiko may have grown, you can always check pg. 2 of this thread in the Pickup section. Certs will stay there for approximately two weeks before taken off. After they are taken out of that section and you missed it, PM a staff member and ask to have the cert sent through PM.

    I have an Aiko, I want to update to new Lineart. How much is it?
    The fee for updating an Aiko to new lineart is 4k. Make sure you send in a PM to littlelovedones if you want to request an update for lineart.

    Can I direct link?
    No, please save to your own servers!

    Do you do pet trades?
    Yes we do! Please refer to the pet trade post below~

    Do you do customs?
    As long as someones custom slot is open and you have the money to pay for it, yes, we will do customs.

    Can I have unique lineart for my Aiko?
    As long as you pay for it in a custom or auction, then yes. However not just anyone will get one-of-a-kind linework for their pet.

    Can we co-own?
    A 2-person co-own is allowed, no more.

    Can I be a colorist or guest colorist?
    Not at the moment, no. If we need help, we'll do something about it.

    Can I color an Aiko just for fun?
    No.

    Aiko are lively critters that have unique coloring, traits, and personalties that make each different from the rest. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, some with dull colored coats and others with bright and vibrant ones, making for an interesting mix in the Aiko world. In general the Aiko runs through a span of five different stages- the egg, cub, juvinile, adolesent, and adult. With each passing stage the Aiko will grow in size and hopefully mental maturity. However.. there are those select few..

    At any rate, the description of each stage are as follows-

    Egg stage: Aiko eggs are placed in a cradled nest above the ground to prevent predators from destroying and consuming the young. Since these eggs are no longer in the wild, it is a mere formality that they are given to a nest that is off the earth.

    Cub stage: Stumbling from their shells, the Aiko young are intelligent, quirky and willful from the start. Heavily influenced by certain internal and external stimuli, the young will quickly establish it's personality. While they lack the grace and ease of their later stages, the young can move rapidly for very short distances. It is at this stage that they are the most impressionable.

    Juvenile stage: Hopefully the Aiko will have grown at least a little by this phase, however not by much. -more to come-

    Adolescent stage: The Aiko reflects both the nature of its influence as well as the nurture of its caretaker. The final result is up to both! At this stage, they are graceful, and deceptively powerful for their size. Intelligent and canny, they master full spoken speech at this stage, and may exhibit unusual abilities. Also by this point, the Aiko will be able to breed, however it is not recommended and will not reach the maximum number of offspring as it normally would as an adult.

    Adult stage: At this point the Aiko will have grown to its largest potential size and also are able to breed and produce the maximum number of offspring. -more to come-

    Aiko are usually always available in some way or form, be it in pet trades, customs, auctions, flatsales, or raffles. It depends more on time, who is busy and who isn't. Also it depends on how active the thread is. If the thread is thriving with people, the staff here will be much more motivated to run items in reward rather than give out things to an empty, rotting thread. So roleplay, chat, whatever.

    Just keep an eye out and breeze over the front page every once and while to check for events. Also check the title of the thread, as usually events will be announced there as well.

    Flatsales will be scheduled at random and will most likely be held once or twice every other month. Batches of at least four will be introduced in this sort of event. These are often followed by a raffle.


    - Depending on what the staff choose, either a RP prompt flatsale or a normal flatsale will be held.

    Roleplay Prompt Flatsale: We will post an rp prompt that you must reply to within a certain amount of time, usually set at 25 minutes. It will begin as soon as the prompt is posted and we say     GO, which is exactly when the event will begin. After the time limit is up, we will post STOP. If you post within a minute of our post, it will still be considered qualified. However if it is over a minute of our posting, it will be disqualified for not making the time limit.

    After this several judges, including a few of the staff here, will read through all the posts in reply to the prompt and decide together which ones are the best. We will base our opinions on humor, skill, and personality of the post. Winners will be posted in logical order from one to however many characters were being flatsaled. The person who won first place will get to choose first, second place chooses second, so on and so forth.

    After the winners are posted, you must send fee of a flat 5k to the Aikos mule account (littlelovedones) within a time period of 24 hours unless a reason is stated as to why you failed to comply. (example: family or medical emergency) If you win you may not give your Aiko to someone else. If you do not want it, then PM the mule or a staff member and we will choose another winner instead.

    Normal Flatsales: This is a flatsale open to all, roleplayer or not. After we post     GO, you must race to post first and claim the Aiko you want. First come first serve! You may not reserve and you may not edit your post. Editing your post at the last second will disqualify you. After all of the Aiko have been claimed, (simply by stating the Aiko you want in a post and seeing if you were the first to claim the one you were looking at) we will post STOP, just to make sure people don't keep trying to post.

    If you are a winner, you must send a trade with a flat fee of 5k to the Aikos mule account (littlelovedones) within a time period of 24 hours unless reason is stated as to why you failed to comply. (example: family or medical emergency) If you win you may pass the Aiko you won to a friend or someone else if you feel like you would want to do that sort of thing.

    Usually a raffle will follow after an auction or flatsale. Raffles are events where everyone has almost a fair chance of winning, as it is all randomized in the end. Several Aiko, most likely set up in groups of either two or four. However if raffle sales exceed a certain amount then more may be added to give everyone more of a fair shot.

    When tickets are drawn in a raffle, the winners will be listed by who's ticket number popped up first, and they will have first pick out of the entire group. Second number drawn gets the second decision, so on and so forth.

    Tickets will be will be sold for 100g each, and you may buy as many as you would like.

    1. You NEED to follow the rules of each raffle, if not it will result with your dismissal from the raffle thread and banned from getting tickets.
    2. Please do not whine or complain in the raffle thread, no one honestly wants to read these sorts of comments.

    Auctions are held usually once or twice every month, depending on what all we have planned, holiday schedules, how busy the colorists are, and also from ideas we manage to get. Auctioned Aiko's will usually begin at either the Egg or Cub stage, however on occasion we will also auction an adult or other stage. Also something to watch out for are unique lineart autions, where you may be able to snatch a spot for a full five-set one-of-a-kind aiko, where the lineart for your aiko will be different and custom to your likings. This is -definately- something you may want to watch out for. =3

    Auction rules are fairly easy to follow, so long as you know how to act and play nicely with the other children. If any of these rules are broken, you may either be blacklisted or greylisted along with being dismissed from the thread. So mind your manners, as we want this to be a -friendly- environment. =3


    :: Things to Know ::

    1. Do not whine, complain, guilt trip, discuss bidding and the amount you can bid (this discourages people), or flame anyone.
    2. You may bid as many items as you would like, however you MUST total everything up yourself using the Marketplace Prices subtracting fiften percent of the lowest price. If this is not done, your bid will be ignored until done so.
    3. There IS a snipeguard. Any post in a five minute time frame before the auction ends, then the auction will continue until five minutes later. This will keep happening so long as people bid.
    4. Do not steal or rip off the designs and colorations of the Aiko being auctioned.
    5. Do not alter or steal any artwork.

    exclaim Sometimes auctions will be considered to be 'newbie' auctions, where people who already have aiko may not bid. This will give other people who have not had the chance to get an Aiko do have the chance.

    To start off, we ask that you please do not PM any of the colorists or shop owner about recieving a free custom unless you have had permission to do so. Also we ask that you check this post BEFORE you PM anyone about a custom order in order to see if any slots are even open to begin with. If slots are not available, please be patient. They usually will open up in a decent amount of time.

    All custom Aikos are fitted with the regular lineart. No one-of-a-kind lineart is given here unless authorized by Artsywolven herself or there is an auction or raffle running for such a prize. Aikos included with lineart edits whether it'd be cosplay or original characters ARE allowed if granted with permission from Saiyukii for usage of concept. Please bear in mind, you may not order any cosplays that have already been taken/used. See, for more information here!

    RP is not mandatory but it is encouraged. You get RP perks maybe one such as.. aiko growing to an elder..? Hm.

    We ask that you RP here in the thread, and if you are seen as being active, and Rping your aiko alot, You have a better chance at events~ and blah. -adds later-

  • No godmoding. This means you cannot control someone else's Aiko in anyway or let yours kill everyone. Only RP your OWN character.
  • Don't leave anyone out no matter what. Unless it's a private RP or other.
  • Please keep the content of your RP PG-13 and under. Gaia does have rules for a reason!
  • Always keep OOC interaction between players polite.
  • No swearing or any type of bad language Keep it to minimum.
  • Aiko(s) cannot talk to humans But they do understand their human companions whom they are bonded to. And of course, they can talk between their own species.

    Aikos, sometimes in their life time experience a unique feeling called love. When that feeling gets strong enough, the aiko will want to stay with it's mate sometimes with the intention creating a family of their own to love and take care of. This is where aikos come to deliver their babies!

    All you have to do, is post in the thread that you want a breeding slot when a slot open. Breeding doesnt require roleplay, but it does require activity from the owners in the thread.

    But breeding can be obtained through other means such as auctions, events and such.

    Sometimes, there will be a set date when Breeding opens. Others, are random times. heart

    - Breeding costs 10k.
    - Aikos can only breed with a mate twice in his/her lifetime. They arent breeding machines!
    - Both aiko(s) must be full grown.
    - There is a 2 month waiting period, for those who breed.
    - Both owners must be active in the thread. Not necessarily RP, Maybe just chatting.
    - Aikos are very sensitive when it comes to genes. Which means that you cant breed siblings in any way, the same gender or anything else that would not be allowed ^^;
    - Owners may only keep one from their breeding.
