The Moon Village:
Aim: This school is designed to train those who wish to learn the art of the Shinobi, in the hopes that its students will in turn contribute to the village's growth and prosperity.
Alignment: Neutral. This guild is a school, with its interests focused more on the furthering of its students than the furthering of political agendas. However, the village will intercede into the affairs of the world if they threaten its sovereignty

Story:
Tsuki-Hasu, the moon lotus...This is the name given by a young man to his new home, an homage to both the souls who have aided him and to a new life...Tired of the ceaseless chaos of the warrior's lifestyle, this young man erected a treetop village away from the heat of battle, a quiet refuge in the fabled Forest of the Moon. At first, he intended to create nothing more than a stand-alone village, indepent of all others, a place for peace and quiet. However, no one can escape their past for too long. Village life, basically, was boring. Never one to be dismayed, the young man simply began to renovate the buildings and change the entire face of the village itself, transforming the empty walkways to centres of learning for those who wished to follow a different aspect of the warrior's path. Here, candidates could come to learn the art of stealth and speed, the tao of fighting without charging in headlong. The Village Tsuki-Hasu waned away, and in its place, the young man created the School Tsuki-Hasu, the training grounds of the Moon Dragon clan of shinobi...And, with that gesture, he sets out upon the new path which will guide his life.

Setting:
Deep in the sub-tropical forests of the Gaian world, the Village of the Moon hangs above the brush below...Hidden from above by the dense foliage, hidden from below by its great height and camouflage, this is the home for the Moon Dragon clan, Trei's new home.
Layout:
The Village: The Village of Tsuki-Hasu is comprised of a series of nearly a hundred interconnected platforms, built into the trunks of various trees over almost a mile's radius, hundreds of feet above the ground. Some of the platforms are higher, some are a bit lower, but all of them are designed to be almost completely invisible from below and above, and all are connected either by rope ladders, or by solid wooden walkways....The following is a list of various places amongst the platforms...
--Chuusin- Chuusin is the name of the largest platform, located in the very center of the village. Chuusin, in fact, translates to Heart, and it is indeed the heart of the village, the location of the village's School and Meeting hall. The building, in fact, takes up nearly the whole platform, a halo design built into the very trunk of the great tree that shelters it. Here is where the members of the Moon Dragon clan train, as well as where various delegates and members of the clan's allies come to hold court and discuss their ideas and plans. The entire building is one long room, with various areas marked out by long tables or by rows of mats on the floor for studies.
--Usoku- Usoku is another of the three great platforms, the home of the guild's training arena and obstacle course is located in the southeast of the village. The "right hand" of the village, this platform is where any of the villagers can come to test themselves, to further their skills, and to better themselves and their peers.
-----Usoku's Training Grounds:
-----------The course: Unlike the conventional Obstacle course, Usoku's course is a place for sparring partners to test their skill in a variable environment...In a semicircular dome, combatants square off, surrounded by collapsable tours, wire webs, even ropes and pits. In the far corner of the room, the village's prized piece of technology stands, a gift from the Mind Aspect...A generator that creates a simulation of various elemental situations, be it rain or heat or cold, which combatants can use to train themselves for any combat situation. ((Map to be added soon))
------------The arena: Unlike the course, the arena is a room for straight-up combat, a room set up so that there is nowhere to run or hide. In the Arena, up to six people can square off with plenty of room for motion, and this is the main room for bettering one's skills in melee combat*
--Okunote-Okunote...the word means Left Hand, as well as Secrets. This is the last of the three great platforms, located in the southwest of the village. Here stands the village's Archives, and the armory and labs. Within the halls of these buildings, village members can study the secrets and capabilities of the clan's arcane arts, then apply these studies to the creation of new techniques and new weapons...in fact, both buildings are connected so that one may take tomes from the archive into the labs and apply the knowledge within to experiments, effectively furthering their output and work.
-------------The Archives-Built as half of the platform's halo design, the Archives house histories garnered from all of Trei's travels...Within the pages of these books, one can study the arts of Alchemy, Jutsu, even physical arts and techniques. And, among all, the prize of prizes, lies the Tao No Ryu. However, all of this knowledge does not come easily. The entrance to the building is the only way in, unlockable only by those bearing the password and Key...Even after entrance, there are varying levels of access, with the Tao No Ryu only accessible by Trei himself.
-------------The Armory/Labs-This is the second half of the Halo, divided into two rooms, both accessible only by the Pass and Key combo. In one room, the base weaponry of the village stands, two walls covered entirely by the assortment of Sickles, Scythes, Daggers, and Blades, everywhere except on one corner of the south wall. This corner houses a massive black cabinet, once more under lock and passcode, which holds within an expansive assortment of Kunai and shuriken in all sizes, as well as boxes of the various tools that would aid shinobi in any mission. Next to this box stands the door to the Lab area. Upon entrance, the member will find him/herself in a long, sterile room with five individual stations set up for people to do whatever work they like, be it modifying smokescreens or boosting the abilities of weaponry.
--Koumyou: This platform stands directly above Chuusin, and is Trei's home. Unlike the normal Halo design of most buildings, his home is built along branches of the trees, creating a unique angled design, with individual rooms for sleeping, cooking, eating, and just living in general. As well as the basics, Koumyou houses Trei's personal notes and library, with a study strewn with maps of Gaia and Dossiers of hundreds of warriors, which he uses when setting out strategies and plans for attack.
--Other Platforms: Aside from the three Great platforms, there are many smaller platforms set aside for homes, smaller shoppes, or just as walkways and clear space. All of the homes are domed versions of the basic Halo design used for Trei's greater buildings, and most are almost completely empty, allowing his members free reign with how they live and decorate.
--Reaching The Village: While traversing the platforms is easy, facilitated by the use of rope bridges and solid wooden walkways, getting to the village is a challenge, designed to allow only those suited to training in the arts of speed and stealth. There are no premade ascensions to the village. Instead, a medium width branch juts out of a tree on the southern edge, marked with the japanese symbol of "Ten", or sky. Village hopefuls, or would be attackers, would have to then ascend by means of a series of branches, all of relatively thin thicknesses, searching for repetitions of the "Ten" symbol to confirm the validity of their path. After ascending nearly to the roof of the forest, hundreds of feet above the ground, then they will find themselves amongst the platforms of the great village.
Defenses:
--Natural Defenses:
---Camouflage: due to the location and design of the village, it is hidden from both air and ground by layers of thick foliage from the great trees which house it. This is not to say that it is invisible, but that it requires a bit of effort to find from above OR below.
---Forest: As stated before, the village is located DEEP in a tropical forest. This means that the trees and foliage are dense, making travelling in large forces difficult.
--Mystic Defenses:
---Soratami, the Moon Spirits: These are the reason it is called the Forest of the Moon...When the moon reaches its Full phase, these spirits awaken and flock about, seemingly nothing more than beautiful wisps of blue and green light...When asleep, they merely emit protective auras around the trees and plants that provide their home, preventing any mortal blade from felling them. However, when awake they can infuse any organic matter with their energy, effectively increasing the ability of their target to channel mystic energies through their body ((acts as mana/power boostage, depending on user's choice))
--Man-Made Defenses:
---Flechet Cannons: Arcane style cannons that launch a burst of ultra-sharp arrowhead style projectiles when fired. These are located on sliding/rotating turrets, one to every three platforms.

Rules:
Rules for Everyone:
1. As always, the Gaian TOS and rules reign supreme.
2. Please keep OOC down to a minimum in this thread...I WILL be providing an OOC thread for you to use, so, if at all possible, PLEASE keep as much OOC there as possible.
3. This guild recognizes the Anti-Munch Project as our guideline for determination of God-modding. Please keep this in mind.
4. I reserve the right to ask people to leave in cases where god-modding, excessive OOC, etc. are concerned. If I tell you to leave, do so, or I WILL consult a mod on the matter.
5. No flaming, please...it brings down the general IQ of everyone in the room, and causes more problems than anyone really wants to deal with.
6. On the same note as flaming: Please be respectful to EVERYONE. Cursing is fine, but if you so much as hint at a racial, sexual, or religious slur I WILL report you.
7. Literacy is a must. What does this mean? I DO NOT ban the use of * * for actions, but all of your posts should be legible and easy to understand. Typos are alright in moderation, but try and keep 'em down.
8. This thread is designed for RP and character development as well as battle, so feel free to roleplay things such as romance and feuds, etc, WITHIN REASON...this goes back to the TOS again
9. Don't stretch the pages...its pointless and annoying.
10. NPCs: My rule on NPCs is simple: They are support characters, and I allow you to have them as such, however, you may only have one per person and his/her position, status, etc. MUST BE STATED FROM THE START. NPCs that appear from nowhere will be ignored.
11. NO MASSIVE EXPLOSIVE SPELLS OR BOMBER STYLE TECH IS ALLOWED. No blowing up the village...
Rules For Members:
1. PM ME your profile BEFORE Posting. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT post it in this thread. If you do, you will be ignored.
2. This guild is designed for characters who rely on speed and stealth, meaning that Juggernaut style characters will NOT be accepted.
3. This is a school style setting, meaning that, upon acceptance your character is essentially at ground zero. THIS MEANS: You have to learn spells, and you have to choose a weapon to train with. Then, as your character reaches a certain progression, you will be allowed to modify your weapon to its final form and style.
4. Activity is REQUIRED...absences over a week, without reasonable excuse, will result first in demotions, then in banning for a second offence.
5. To join this guild, your character MUST NOT be a member of any other guilds. Seeing as this guild places characters at a Lv. 1 style basis, that would be awkward for the character.
6. As I said before, this is RP based. Meaning, if your character is level one clearance, but you suddenly get a hold of a tome/weapon from level four clearance, You will be warned and your post nixed. On second offense, you will lose access to that part of the guild.
7. Please RP all character development and increase in abilities, rather than just
showing up and having some new spell or ability.
8. The Nightcrawler Rule: What does this mean? This means that, while I will allow teleportation, It has to be done based on the Nightcrawler physics in X-Men. No more than 20 yards in any direction (Different distance, I know) and no teleporting someplace you can't see.
9. Battles and rivalries with other guilds: As a shinobi village, we're bound to make enemies over time. Over the course of the village's evolution, the general lifestyle of the guild will change, and new challenges will be provided as time goes on. Be prepared for this.
10. Naruto Style Characters: These aren't allowed. Simple as that. This is a psuedo-historically based shinobi clan, not Konoha village.
Rules for non-members-
1. This isn't a world of its own. People are encouraged to come and go, to set up trade with the village or just to wander around the forest. However, when you're in this guild, all rules that apply to members apply to you. Its as simple as that.
-More will be added as I see fit...

A lone figure sits on the edge of Koumyou, watching the sun set beyond the edge of the treetops...It felt so distant now...All those years, countless fights against countless faces, the loss of friends and loved ones. All those things were behind him now...Well, sort of. True, he was teaching the art of fighting still...but now it was a mere formality, a necessary evil that could hopefully remain unneeded for at least a little longer...
For now, though, all of these thoughts are uneccessary. He has big plans...A wedding coming up, classes to plan and teach, students to recruit...it would seem that the life of a Shinobi sensei was more chaotic than that of a Shinobi itself...chuckling at the thought, the young man turns his attention downward, looking across the treetop platforms with a soft smile...

Seifer wandered around the village, not sure what to do. He had stumbled across this village in a mindless, hunger raid of the forest. The hunger residing in his abdomen had driven him insane, not avoiding any obstacles of the landscape, just looking for food. Wandering up a tree, stumbling onto a secret village hidden in the upper foliage of the forest, he had convinced himself it was just a dream. Though he wasn't dissatisfied, there was filling food in this 'dream'.
He had been given a small hut on one of the many smaller platforms, to conduct a more personal life, and was given the grand dream of training with the 'Leader' of this village. It was a gift, an honor, etc etc, he had been told, and he admitted to himself that he knew close to nothing of what was going on. So he wandered the village, looking for this leader, interested in quenching this curiosity.

The young man's eyes fall on the wanderer...The poor guy had come up to the village in the midst of a mild case of hunger-driven dementia, and Trei supposed that he actually believed that he'd spoken to nonexistent villagers...well, it looked like he did, at least. Either that, or he'd spent the first day of his stay here trying to convince everyone he was nuts...
No matter. The man had made it to the village while near death from starvation, so that made him noteworthy. He might not attain the speed of other pupils, but if the guy could make that climb for no reason, he had the potential to be a tank when it came to stamina...Well, now was as good a time as any for introductions. Grinning, Trei stands and calls out, drawing a kunai with his free hand..."Glad to see you're up and about...."
