Welcome to the World of Faetasia. I doubt you will ever find a more magical or exotic place. There's at least thirty-seven known races across Faetasia so far, and several more that will soon be discovered.

I started this shop in early/mid December of 2003. This shop is nearly two years old and is still going strong. We are one of the few shops that still cater to new owners and welcome new owners as well as our veterans. We have thousands of Faekats out on Gaia and hope to bring thousands more.

There are no 'humans' in the Faekat World. Though this is a pet shop, you do not perchase a pet for your avatar, or for a character of yours. You purchase a pet that you will portray, give personality and life to. You will become the pet, or rather the pet will become an extension of you.

Faetasia Island is a large, beautiful island full of wonder. The Faekat races usually put love before all things. To them, love and life are the most beautiful thing the world has to offer. However, there are darker and more wicked races that do not believe in love at all so there's always the potential for drama.

Faekat Staff Information

The Staff

The Staff are those that work here at the Faekat Agency. Colorists well.. color. Bouncers report any questionable activity (drama, etc) to the staff. Other Staff positions may be added later.

Activity

Activity will let you know if there's a possibility that one may be accepting commissions or not. Non-active people could be taking a break, moving, on vacation, etc.

Permissions

Permissions are what a given colorist can do. Some colorists may only be able to do certain things were as other colorists may have more permissions. Level One's usually get one special that only they can do. Level Zero's get two.

Meeki:: Level Zero. Special: Lizard and Meanki
Mintaka :: Level One. Special: Lothfera
Rein_Carnation :: Level One. Special: Holykats
Guardian Yami :: Level Three.
Kimie Kitty :: Level Two.
Mondo Celest :: Level Three.

Permission Levels

Zero (0) :: A level zero access is pretty much founder only. The founder can do anything he/she wishes. Level zero access are the only ones that can do Gods, Angeliques, Zombies, Spiders, Unholykats, Lizards, Meankis, and Special Vampires and/or Races. Level Zero can occasionally do custom lineart and such as well for pets. Level Zero does not do cosplay linearts for pet owners.
One (1) :: Level ones are the only ones that can do cosplay pets. Those based on another character or perhaps even an original character. They should always check to make sure that the cosplay character is NOT a main character or highly popular before accepting. Level One's also get a race assigned to them that only they can do. Their flatsales can only exist of three faekats total to sell. They can do any race that is not limited to a level Zero pet. Faery upgradings are done by level ones and zero's.
Two (2) :: Level Twos cannot do cosplay edits but they can do some racial ones. Racial edits are those limited to any of the races not assigned specifically to Level One or Zero staff. Angelics, Dark Angelics, Demons, Werewolves, etc are acceptable. Level Two flatsales are limited to only three faekats.
Three (3) :: Level Three staff cannot do major edits or cosplay lets at all (except in group staff projects). However, to make up for this, their flatsales can have six faekats in them. They are the only level that get to flatsale more than three pets. They can also sell werewolves and demons with minor edits (horns, earrings, etc) but limited lineart edits only.

Life Stages

The faekat used in the example image is a regular female.

Egg: Eggs are a simple stage. Two heterosexual faekats breed. The female lays an egg or two or few. The eggs need watched but not too much, their shells are unbreakable. The baby will hatch in about a week or so.

Baby: Next come babies. Babies stay babies anywhere from two weeks to a month. Give or take. Take this time to bond your kat with your baby, decide what kind of personality you may want your baby to have, etc. Don't rush it. And please do not play genius babies. They should not be able to appear intelligent unless they are baby gods. This stages lasts between two weeks to a month.

Teens: The next stage are teens. They are more towards preteen to midteen level in age so they do not develop romances. However, they can develop crushes. The personality of your pet should come out during this stage. This stage lasts a month usually.

Adult: Congrats, your faekat grew up. Now that he or she is an adult, they can do some heavy roleplaying. Please consider plot roleplays. Just because your pet is an adult shouldn't mean they should instantly find romance or start a family. You'd think such repetition would get boring afterawhile. If you just play your kat for romance or breeding, you are really just putting a good character to waste. Think outside of the box.


Generations

Some colorists have been getting confused with this, especially breeding colorists. The baby ALWAYS comes out a generation less pure than their least pure parent. If a Gen 1 Faekat breeds wit ha Gen 3 Faekat, the baby comes out 3.5 regardless, not 1.5. Get it? Got it? Good.

Generation 1: For the most part, First Generation pets have two babies each. They are the original firsts of any given race. They are limited only.

Notice: First Generation Regulars, Baddies, Pures, Kryenae, Nymphae, Old Majerae (not new) are allowed unlimited breedings. These pets are well over a year old and if still around, worthy of having unlimited babies. The only other race that gets such a privledge are gods. Bless the original oldschool faekats!

Generation 1.5: 1.5's can only happen if two Gen 1's breed together. If a Gen 1 and a S.E. breed, guess what? The baby comes out a 2.5 because SPECIAL EDITIONS are equal to Generation Two! Gen 1.5 get two egg slots.

Generation Two: Special Editions are equal to Gen Twos. Gen Twos are not really that different than Gen Ones. They two get two egg spots. The difference lies in the offspring.

Generation 2.5: Generation 2.5's get one egg slot.

Generation 3: Generation 3 pets get one egg slot.

Generation 3.5: Generation 3.5 get NO egg slots.

Generation 4: Fourth Generations are no longer being made. I want to stick with 3rd gens for awhile longer. However any Fourth Generatons that might have been previously sold end up with just one egg slot.

Generation 4.5: If there are any 4.5's in the world they should have NO egg slot.

Final Generation: Also known as F Generation, these are the offspring of 1.5 or 2.5 babies that used their egg slots for offspring. Any offspring of a .5 generation parent are not allowed to breed and come with NO egg slots. They are marked F for Final to symobolize that that specific lineage is done. All faekat lineages with the except of pure deity mixes or pure freak mixes will eventually result in an F generation eventually.

The Originals

Regulars :: Regulars are the favored race in Faetasia. Magic seems to generate from the existance of them. They believe in love above all else and are usually always good and kind of heart. Current Generation: 3

Pures :: Pures are truly good hearted pets. They are never evil and always want to do what it right. They especially feel protective over the regulars. Current Generation: 3.

Baddies :: Baddies are the evil common race. They enjoy bullying, picking fights and being mean in general, especially towards the Regulars. Current Generation: 3

Majerae :: Majerae are a female only magical race. The newer versions have hair and pupils but are much weaker than the true Majerae which are bald and pupil-less. A true majerae has the most potent magic of all worldly races. They are a neutral race. Current Generation: 3

Kryenae :: Kryenae are a male only telekinetic pet race. Their power is untapped. There's little to nothing that cannot be done with the power of their minds. They are a neutral race. Current Generation: 3

Nymphae :: Nymphae are a charming female only race. Their magic is purely charm based. They can get just about any faekat to do what they want by using their 'charm'. They prefer getting others to do their dirty work. They are a neutral race. Current Generation: 3

Uncommon Races

FaeElves :: The Fae Elves are a slightly smaller race, standing only two and a half feet at the tallest. They come in six forms: Aquatic, Sun, Moon, Dark, Wood, High. High, Sun and Wood are good elves, Aquatic, Moon and Dark are evil elves. They tend to dislike their opposite counterparts greatly. Current Generation: 2

FaeSkunk :: The Skunks are a female only race and very calm and gentle by nature. Though make excellent mothers, babysitters and teachers because of their caring capacity. However, if you do anger one of them, you better run or fly as fast as you can because they do have the ability to spray that can leave you smelling for hours! Current Generation: 2

FaeBear :: The Faebear are a strong and lazy race with a gentle spirit. However, despite that if they are angry or upset they go into rages and become quite powerful. FaeBears when angry can rival werewolves in strength. They are the tallest race in Faetasia as well. Current Generation: 2

FaeFox :: The FaeFox is a cunning and sly race. They are swift on land as well as in the water and tend to act before they think something through. Current Generation: 2

FaeDragon :: The Dragons are a male only race that have come to Faetasia Island from a land beyond. They are a male only race because their females and children were killed by a horrible beast while they were on a hunting trip. They have come to the island in hopes to settle down and save what is left of their race. They are very honorable in personality, thinking it's a man's job to take care of the females. They tend to pamper their women. Not bad for the ladies, huh? Current Generation: 2

FaeRabbits :: FaeRabbits are the only race that should actively seek husbands and families. They are a female race that believe it's their lot in life to be homemakers. They think of little else except finding the right man and settling down. Yes, they love to reproduce. *cough* Current Generation: 2

FaeRoo :: The FaeRoo are a restless race. They always travel around and take life as it comes. They go with the flow and try to enjoy everything that life has to offer. They are often gypsy-like in attitude and behavior. The lineart for the FaeRoo was created by Iris_Virus. Current Generation: 2

Rare Races

Meanki :: The Meanki consider themselves the most beautiful race in Faetasia. They are female only. They are ebil, strong and violent. Add in their beauty and they are an unusual mix. They tend to bully the other races or anyone that they feel aren't worth the life they are given. They are probably the least liked race because of it and couldn't care less. Current Generation: 1

Maedra :: The Maedra are a pixie like female only race. They are thin and wiry, able to get into small holes and corners, despite being the same height as other fae creatures. They have small wings but can fly using their magic (the wings are cosmetic only). They are a naughty race, a perfect blend of both good and evil. They decide what they want to be at the start of each new day! Current Generation: 1

Rabbits :: The Rabbits are a male only rabbit race. Unlike the female FaeRabbits, they are mean and wild. The original seven, aka the noble class are always held in high esteem and all other Rabbits are servants, slaves or workers. They love to flirt with the women. Evil rules apply. They can sleep around but only with other evil pets. If they fall in love, they stay faithful. Current Generation: 1

Lizards :: The lizards are a female only race. They are wild and untamed but more honorable and virtuous than the evil Rabbits that they are similar to. The original seven are of the noble class and all other lizards are submissive in some fashion, either as a slave, worker or servant. Current Generation: 1

Faeries :: Faeries come either good or dark. Good faeries love nature, will always heal plants and animals that are hurt. Dark Faeries like to hurt plants and animals. They are spiritual faekats blessed with larger, more beautiful wings and granted illusionary magical abilities. Current Generation: N/A. Since Faeries are upgraded from existing faekats, whatever the kats original generation was will be what their faery generation is as well.

Fluffae :: N/A

FaeSquirrel :: The Squirrels are a male only, sorta bishie race. They love the ladies and love to be loved by the ladies. They love attention more than they love the ladies. The Squirrels are excellent climbers and able to jump from tree to tree, giving them quite an advantage over the other Fae. Current Generation: 1

Siren :: Sirens are a freshwater female race that live in the Faetasia Lake. They are fairly evil creatures, jealous of the land based females so thrive on causing them trouble, especially by wooing the land based males. They only keep their female offspring. Any male children get thrown up on the land for the 'father' to take care of. Current Generation: 1

Buck :: The Buck is a male only race that are highly conceited and cocky, not to mention territorial. They assume anything they want is automatically theirs, even when it comes to females. They get jealous very easily and is therefore one of the most confrontational of the races. Current Generation: 1

Lothfera :: The Lothfera are distantly related to the FaeElves, blessed with wings unlike their elven cousins. They're highly in tune with nature, and tend to live off the land. They're usually peaceful, although rogue dark ones also exist. Current Generation: 1

Elite Races

Demons :: The Demons are a rare race that love to torture and torment. They are one of the most evil races in Faetasia. So far, there's only a few Demons in the world and we should all be thankful for that. Current Generation: 1

Vampires :: Vampires are a bloodsucking fae races. They are damned, cursed creatures that often dislike the mortals for having a life they no longer do. The vampires in faetasia can be based loosely of Vampire: The Masquerade but this specific branch of vampires are clanless. They worship their own God, Caine. Current Generation: 2

Werewolves :: The mortal enemies of vampires, the werewolves are a wild lot that live in the Dark Woods. There's the Moon Pack, Sun Pack, Dark Pack, Death Pack and Wood Pack. Each pack comes with their own beliefs, plans and alignments. The one thing they share in common is that they are all very territorial. They worship their own God, Lupine. Current Generation: 2

Zombies :: The Zombie Kats are an undead race with no feelings or morals. They tend to be very evil in nature, oftentimes the most evil race. Since they are undead, they do not feel pain or any other emotion, do not get tired but they do have a thirst for raw flesh. Current Generation: 1

Freaks :: The Freak faekats are a special race of mxied DNA. They are rarer, stronger, faster, smarter than the other mortal races. No two freaks are the same! Current Generation: Special.

Spiders :: N/A

Special Editions :: Special Editions are often cosplay pets. They are usually based around characters from movies, anime, games, comic books, etc. Special Editions are usually noted with a star but are considered Second Generations

We-Kick-Your-a** Races

Deities :: Deities are to be respected under all circumstances. Desrespecting a God at all is asking for death. Gods should be feared by even the most evil races. There's no excuse to disrespect a God. Doing so will just @#!!@ you up in a bad way. Current Generation: Special

Angeliques :: Angeliques are slaves/lovers/most trusted companions to the god. When an Angelique and their God fall in love and mate, they usually become faithful to only each other. Their offspring are the most powerful creatures in the world as well, aside from their God parents. The strength of the love between a God and his/her Angelique determines the strength of the offspring. Current Generation: 1

Angelics :: Angelics are lesser versions of Angeliques. They are a good race overall. They are minions of Gods, messengers, etc. An Angelic has the potential to be an Angelique if a god takes him or her in. Angelics that have had past lovers, even one, can never be an Angelique. Current Generation: 1

Dark Angelics Dark Angelics are like Angelics in all ways except where Angelics are good, Dark Angelics are evil. They too lose their chance at Angeliquehood if they take any lovers. Gods like them pure, baby. Current Generation: 1

Special Vampires :: Special Vampires are much like the other vampires except they come already in a clan and usually more lineart altered or following a specific theme. If you worry about finding a way into a clan, landing a Clan Vampire is the best way to go. However, you would have to convince staff that you would be worthy of the honor. They worship the God, Caine. Current Generation: 1

Holykats :: Holykats are divine beings that worship the Goddess, Dawn. They want to smite and rid the world of evil. They are always kind even in the face of their enemies. They don't see their actions as wrong. To them, they are just 'healing' the evil in the world. Current Generation: 1

Unholykats Unholykats are undead zombieish creatures that want to contaminate the world and spread evil. They love to torment, torture, trick and mislead all races, especially the good ones. They have no friends, though they will at least tolerate each other. They worship the Goddess, Necrosis. Current Generation: 1

Retired Races

Drafina :: Drafina are lightly telepathic. While they cannot read minds, they can communicate with each other and can open up channels to communicate with other fae-creatures. They do have a weakness for pretty gems and will covert any they see to keep them in a secluded place.

Guardina :: A Guardina was a special faekat, usually genderless in nature, that governed and watched over the faekats.

F.A.Q (Frequently Asked Questions)

How do I get one? Whaaaaahaaaa. Well, duh. Flatsale or commission of course.

What is a flatsale? A flatsale is when a colorist sell a group of faekats within the thread for a single, flat price.

What is a commission? Commission is what I use instead of custom but they are basically the same thing. You pay someone to create a custom colored faekat based around a few colors you want. You can ask for a specific pattern too. Commissions should stay simple, yo.

Oooh, I want a Faekat. Can I buy one? Sure, but please check out the Extensive Faekat Rules thread first. If you still want one, then I'm sure we can work something out.

Do I have to read the rules? There's too many of them! No, you don't have to, but if you end up banned, lose your pet and get no refund later because you didn't read the rules, you lose all rights to complain about it.

Are Faekats Roleplay required? Yes.. and no. The only pets that have some kind of requirement to them are the plot pets and special editions. A lot of heart and work was put into special editions so if they are not played, they may be given away. Plot pets absolutely need some roleplay or else we WILL find new owners for them. Common, Rarer, and Original races are not roleplay required.

What are Plot pets? Plot pets are those that have requirements and conflict with the world of Faetasia. They are deities, angeliques, vampires, werewolves, demons, holykats, unholykats, etc, etc. You get the point?

Can my Faekat be homosexual or bisexual? A faekat may be homosexual, yes. However, a faekat cannot be bisexual. Choose one gender and stick with it. No, you cannot change your mind later.

Can homosexual faekats breed? Nope. It's not possible. We tried it in the past, I didn't like it. I removed it. Homosexual pets simply cannot reproduce. However, they can try to adopt a homeless baby from the breeding hospital.

Can I ask around to see who would want to be mates with my kat? No, you can not. You cannot plan mateship or breeding. They must happen randomly and spontaniously.

Can I ask someone to bring in a pet of theirs that I want to roleplay? No, you cannot. That's rude. If they want to bring the pet in, I sure they would do it of their own accord.

Do you accept payment plans? A colorist might accept them, provided you take it seriously. If you are seen buying pets in other threads or purchasing faekats from other colorists when you OWE the previous colorist gold, you could find yourself banned. Take payment plans seriously or don't take them at all.

Can I have a free faekat? I can't afford one. Occasionally free faekats are made and given out. But don't count on landing one this way as it is pretty rare. I'm seldom in a good mood.

#$@#@! you. I see faekats everywhere. I'm sick of them. I wish you would close this shop! Well, @#!@@! you too. Faekats have been around for two years. If we are everywhere, I damn well think we earned it. XD

So and So has 329029101 faekats. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them! I'm sure they hate you too. In fact, I may hate you. Suck it up or leave. My owners mean a lot to me and if someone ends up with an ungodly amount of faekats, that must mean they like my shop pretty darn much. You mess with them, you mess with me. Rawr.

Do you take pet trades? I consider it, personally. My colorists would need asked individually. I don't mind if they do the occasional pet trade as long as it's not abused. But I would personally like non-roleplay required pets. I absolutely want a feli or puri one day and have for a couple years. I would love you forever if you could somehow get me one.

I notice that your faekat, Kindred has unique adult lineart. Can I get something like that done for my faekat? That depends. If I have the time and am bribed, I may accept it. XD

Flatsale Schedules

Flatsale schedules will go here when owners decide them. Keep in mind they may vary but this is just a general idea of when a colorist usually has his or her flatsales. The flatsales will take place in a thread and I will put a notice in the title of the thread along with a page number to the pets for sell when the flatsale is ready.

Work Journals

To save up on thread spam, work journals are optional. A colorist can choose to keep their finished commissions there or simply pm them to the new owner when they are done. If a colorists decides to keep a work journal, I will list it below for easy access. A work journal can be used for a variety of purposes. Comissions? Pickups? Track of what is owed them? Previews of upcoming auctions or sales?

Faekat Rules

First off I want you to read the extensive faekat rules. What is it? It's an extensive compiling of Faekat rules that will be updated randomly. So always check it out once in awhile to refresh up on the rules or see any new rules. New rules will have a red New! beside it. Below will be some general rules, thread rules and colorist rules. The extensive rules are a must for pet ownership so please, please, please read them.

Standard Rules

1. No Stealing/Altering Lineart without my permission.
2. No Harassing/Trolling.
3. Respect both Staff and Owners alike.
4. No Selling Faekat Pets without permission from Meeki.
5. No Trading Faekat Pets.
6. No Giving away Faekat Pets without permission from Meeki.
7. No naming, basing, dressing your character up like another unless it's a true special edition.
8. Do not decorate any part of the faekat cards except the white area with the faekat pet itself. The other areas need to be blank for inventory items or information alterations.
9. No Roleplaying in thread. We have a roleplay world!
10. Try to keep drama out of thread. At least as much as possible.
11. Send all complaints to an active member of faekat staff.
12. No purchasing new pets until debts are paid off. This can go for both debts owed to staff or debts owed to other faekat owners. We protect our own.
13. We will not reserve a pet for more than two days.
14. For Special Editions, faekats can only be based off fictional characters. This means no real life actors, musicians, etc can be done. No family members of real life friends. No gaia avatars other than your own.
15. No godmoding. No killing of other pets. No bringing other pets to near death. No forcing them in a situation they don't want to be in. Violence is allowed without permission only in Hades and Dark Woods, however, they cannot kill or bring close to death. Faekats cannot die except by God intervention! Just to add, Gods can godmode, hehe...
16. No more buying or commissioning faekats for other people. I'm sure if they want one, they will get one themselves. Faekats can often go to waste because they are given as a 'gift'. Exceptions may be accepted but only with Meeki's permission.
17. If you return a pet to me that you purchased, saying you cannot properly care for them and want them to go to a new home, that's fine and dandy, I'll do that. However, you cannot purchase any new faekats from the agency since you proved you have more than enough to handle as is. New


Colorist Rules

1. No lineart altering unless it's for a rarer race that you are authorized to do.
2. Send 1/3rd of all sales to Meeki for lineart/concept.
3. Be kind to all owners. There's no excuse for rudeness.
4. Do not mimic or copy other colorists. Be Original.
5. No more than two flatsales and three commissions per week. Flatsales should have no more than three pets per sale. At least one must be a regular.
6. You have the option to make a pet journal in the merchant guild to keep the status of your commissions, pick ups and personal information in. PM me if you need the url. If you use this thread, please don't post images, post pickups and such in text/url format.
7. Let all other staff know WHEN a SE is accepted.

Special Rules/Information
1. Only ebil races can breed without being mates first. However, they can only do this with another evil race. Babies born out of love though are not as strong.
2. Roleplay is not required but when we see faekats being roleplayed, we get that warm feeling in our tummies.
3. Roleplay something other than romance for awhile. We will ban anyone that seem to roleplay specifically to snatch up mates or gun for rarer babies.

Faekat Halloween Event

Announcement: The events will take place in the Faekat Event Guild, *cough*, formerly known as Jasera. *cough*

Staff Candy: Each member of staff that is active will produce give away a piece of candy. Each piece of candy will alter the faekat in some way. Due to this, there's going to be some limitations and rules.

1. Each faekat owner can only enter two faekats total into the halloween candy event.
2. Each faekat can only have one piece of candy.
3. Candy may or may not be limited. It's currently undecided.
4. No, we will not tell you what the candy will do. It's a secret. Shh.
5. The faekats will not be altered until after the event is over.

Faekat Halloween Costumes: Faekat owners can dress their Faekats up in halloween costumes. They can design the costumes themselves or commission other faekat owners (no-non faekat owners allowed) to create the costumes for them. Please remember to save your faekat pre-costume because once Halloween is over, the costumes will not be allowed in the Faekat world. It's for the Halloween Event only.

Both gaia items/gold may be given out as prizes or faekat roleplay items can be given out as well. Below is a trick or treat bag that owners can place near their kat or in their inventories if they want.

Rules of the Banned

1. People who are banned do not get refunds. It's kind of silly to break rules or show disrespect and then expect your gold back.
2. Banned people cannot give away or sell their pets. Any special edition or plot pet will be given away (we do not resell!) freely and regular pets will either be dropped and/or forgotten or allowed to be co-owned by the faekats mate, if one exists. Please not that staff will give away the pets, not the person banned.
3. Those banned are not welcome in this thread or the breeding hospital. They cannot purchase new pets or breed babies with existing pets. If they are still allowed to roleplay, they may continue to do so in the roleplay related threads, however, if roleplay is not an option for them, they should avoid all Faekat related threads.

Ban Types

Complete Ban: A complete ban cannot breed, roleplay, buy, sell, give away, work for, post in thread, or do anything when it comes to a faekat pet.
Partial Ban: A partial ban is pretty much exactly the same as a complete ban except that the person can roleplay their pets and post in the thread. A Temporary Ban may be removed after a period of time.
Note: If you are banned and are suspected of and/or found to be using a mule account to post in this thread, fool staff, ban evade, etc, a moderator may be contacted. If you're banned, it's best if you just find other things to do with your time then troll a shop. XD

Donations. Who doesn't love them? Please note that this is real money donations and not Gaia gold donations. Faekats is a non-profit thing for me and keeps me from spending more time on art that I could be selling elsewhere. You'd be surprised how much time I spend on faekats regardless of if it's with a personal issue of a pet owner, lineart, thread informations, you name it. It's a lot of work and a lot of time. So donations to help feed a starving (ok, I'm really not starving) artist would be appreciated. If you are interested in donation, just send me a pm and I'll toss you my paypal information. I do usually like to thank my donators in some way, but I will not list exactly how or what because I do not want to sell donations. That kills the point of donations.
