Mannering's Costume Design Contest! Creativity needed!

Hi~ Welcome to Chihaya's Blankpapers 1st Contest. My sister is writting a story called Galaxian Games and it talks about a sport called MANNERING. I'm looking for some creative ideas and designs for Mannering gears. Pretty art is preferred but not needed. Even a written piece only can win a prize. So please bring your ideas and have fun~~

please excuse my English. correct me if I'm wrong, just no flames ;_;


Brief Summary
SUBJECTS: Costume design sheet for a sport called Mannering
PRIZES: Pure + Arts = ~400k
ACCEPTABLE MEDIA: any. we're looking for ideas

Rules

- Please be nice.

- You are entering a contest for Mannering costume design only. Any other outfit design will not be qualified.

- The design pic must be drawn especially for this contest. No art/idea stealings, No doll-based, and do not submit your previous works.

- We're looking for ideas. So B/W art and stick figure is acceptable. Pretty color arts will get extra point if tied.

- Put a good description if necessary. Yes, your design pic doesn't have to be colored but you pic will have slim chance to win if we don't understand what is what in your design.

- Submit your design via PM only with subject 'Mannering costume contest'.

- If you have any questions, ask them here.

Story background

You are asked to do a Mannering costume design sheet. So let me tell you a little bit about the background story and Mannering.

Galaxian Games
As Earth is getting more and more expensive to live, people leaves earth for space colonies. (Think Gundam Wing) Since then, inter-colony wars exploded everywhere. After a long suffering period of tragic wars, there came a peace treaty and colonies were devided in to 5 independent territories or 5 Colony clusters. The cold wars era begins. Recently, with much doubts and criticisms, the galaxy sport association proposed the idea of an inter-cluster Olympic-like sport events, called Galaxian games, to promote a more friendly environment in the universe.


Facts about Mannering
1. Mannering is a sport originated from the Orion Cluster. It was chosen to be one of the 5 introductory sports in GG (Galaxian Games).

2. Mannering is played on an ice rink with 8 players on each side. So players will need some kind of iceskate shoes (but you can be creative)

3. The scores are made by the team that throws the golden ring into the opponent's goal (1 points) or put the ring onto the pole inside the goal (2 points).

4. Players should avoid being pushed into space boxes on the rink side which will hold them out of the game for a time period.

5. Mannerring is a sport of speed and tackles. It can be violent so players have to wear good protection gears for safety. (think ice hockey or american footbal but again, please be creative).

6. There are 3 types of positions in a mannering team, Forward (catch, run and shoot), Midfield (throw and tackle), and Defense (tackle and defend). You may design only 1 costume that suitable for all positions or customize. it's up to you

Appearance : Long blond till waist pulled up in high pony tail. Blue eyes.
Pale skin. Light built almost to the point of skinny.

Personality : Determined and extremely goal-oriented. He is the brain of the team.

Position in Mannering team : Captain, Midfield

Gender : Male

Age : 14

Appearance : Chololate brown messy hair. Light brown eyes.

Personality : A perfect geek who plays sport. He's into mechanic stuff. Shy to girls.

Position in Mannering team : Forward

Gai Zhang

Gender : Male

Age : 15

Appearance : Dark short hair (the bang can be combed back). Dark brown,
almond shaped eyes. Asian tan skin. Strong but not too beefy.

Personality : Hot-blooded. An extravagant flirt to older women. Cynic and can be very cold-blooded.

Position in Mannering team : 'Defense' and 'CZS' (Combat Zone Specialist)

Robin Lost

Gender : Male

Age : 14

Appearance : Longish platinum blond hair with bang. Prussian blue eyes. Nordic type. Pretty and often being mistaken for girl.

Personality : The world's smart-a**, bad-mouth brat. =_=" Proud and very sensitive to being called sissy or girly boy. (think an angry kitten). He is a fastest runner of his age. The front forward of the mannering team.

Position in Mannering team : The newest 'Forward' and 'Runner' of the team.

Rin Kobayashi

Gender : Male
Age : 13
Cluster : Milkyway (colony D613)
Appearance : Light brown hair with bang. Very pretty green eyes. Small built.

Personality : A devil who always act innocent as a cover. His body is horrifyingly bendable O_o; A cynic observer who doesn't care for anything.

Position in Mannering team : All around player ( 'Libero' ) but mostly 'Midfield'

Age : 15
Appearance : Dark/black long straight hair. (i know the reference pic is pinkish sorry redface ) Dark violet eyes.

Personality : A cool beauty. PingPing is smart and err.. manipulative. She love teasing the one she love.

Position in Mannering team : 'Runner'
