Here's my monster families for week two of the Assignment. And here's my description as well, in case you need a reminder:
The Hirsuta Maculatus (hairy and spotted), also called the Spring Horn, is a furry mammal that lives in the fruit trees in the mountains by the hot springs. It is omnivorous, eating both fruit out of the trees and fish out of the many large hot springs where tropical fish and other creatures thrive. It uses the two horns not only for defense and sparring during mating season, but also uses it to spear fruit and fish. It uses its long toes and thumbs to climb the fruit trees, and its webbed feet to swim quickly in the ocean. It swims in a froglike fashion with its long legs. On flat land it walks with the front feet on the ground while hopping with its back feet. The spots on its belly add to its camoflage while in the trees. It can be viewed in the daytime, and at night it sleeps in a nest in the trees. The Spring Horn live in large family groups and are very social creatures, gathering after meals for group grooming sessions.
