Name: Miemi
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Weight: 98 lbs
Height: 4'3
Equipment of note: She has two weapons, which are just as powerful as the other. She has a pole, made out of a bamboo fiber that is very difficult to break. It seems to be unbreakable, due to Miemi having a powerful aura around it when she fights with it. The pole is about a foot longer than her, and there is no sharp edge on any part of the weapon. The weapon can fold up, so it appears smaller. Inside the pole is hollow, where it can emit strong vibrations, making a loud thunderous sound. It helps her by making enemies less concentrated than normal. She also uses Tarot Cards (My definition: pieces of paper with seals on them), which have three symbols on it. One represents, "buki," or weapon; another represents, "shi-rudo," or shield, and the last card represents, "rinji," or special.
Description: Miemi is a cheerful young girl with dark raven green hair which seems to change color to a lighter raven greenish when she changes moods. Her hair is about a third of her length, and it's tied with a yellow scrunchy-like thing around the end of her hair. She has purple eyes that swirl in the moonlight, giving her enemies and allies a creepy feeling. Her face expression is always cheerful.
Miemi wears a small bead necklace, holding a small orb given by her father. She also wears a black peasant shirt, but the the sleeves were ripped off by her. She wears small, skimpy shorts. The shorts held a small belt, containing three pouches for her Tarot Cards. Behind her back was a weapon holder (I forgot what the container for a weapon was called; an example would be for a sword, and the thing that holds that). She doesn't wear any shoes, but her feet have grown tough from walking on the earth.
Abilities: Miemi relies on speed more than power; she can emit a loud thunderous sound, stunning everyone around her for about a second. She also has the ability to summon a quick burst of energy which acts like an arrow, charging through her opponents. Her swift attack isn't very strong, but it is very reliable for escaping.
She has a separate ability for her Tarot Cards.
When she holds her Tarot Card representing "buki," she holds it with her index and middle finger; the oppposite end of the card starts to glow, which temporarily gives the card a sharp edge(PAPER CUT xd ).
When she hold her Tarot Card representing "shi-rudo," she hold it with her palm; when she says, "shi-rudo," the card glows, temporarily giving the card a "shield state." The card now has the ability to deflect incoming blows, when she uses the card.
The last card, "rinji," is really different from the others. It has many different effects depending on where she holds it. If she hold it like she would for the "buki" card, then the card glows, which replicates into different pieces of the Tarot Card when thrown. It held like it would for the "shi-rudo" card, the card would glow and entrap enemies when her palm is facing her target.
Personality: Although she looks like a girl with a stick, she is pretty strong; not many people take her on lightly. She is often calm and cool, keeping herself controlled in fights; that's what makes her strong. She is pretty social, talking to almost everyone in a group at a time. She also helps people when they need it. That's how she normally acts. Really, she tends to be more arrogant and stubborn, but she does have a good side to her.
At times, she bothers her friends at the most random times, and she acts like a spoiled brat when things don't go her way. She would usually wander from the group and go fight things herself. Her arrogance usually leads her to near death situations, and she doesn't learn from them.
History: Miemi wasn't a noble. She was born in a poor village, with barely anything to eat. A terrible disease swept through her home and killed many.
Her mother died when she was born, due to the plague. Miemi and her father were left in their home. Her father was a farmer, but soon he was inflicted by the disease. She was five when he died, and the sadness within her was terrible. As a desperate attempt to stay alive, she ran away from her village, and she never looked back. That was the last time she saw it...
There was a forest in by the village and she escaped through there. As she ran, she met the one person who watched over her. A man, about three times taller than her, was smiling upon her, and he gladly took her in. This man was a warrior for an unknown kingdom. For six years, she had been with him, becoming a skilled warrior herself.
During her thirteenth birthday, a war raged upon the kingdom where she lived, and her caretaker had to leave for battle. Miemi prayed that he'd return safely, but her prayers weren't answered. The man had died, shot in the back by an arrow. When Miemi heard the news, she was devastated, and she became emotionally weak.
As the days passed by, she stayed in the man's home, being cared by the maids who stilled worked there. One day as she walked through the kingdom, Miemi saw a fortune teller in the streets, and that was when she first learned about Tarot Cards. She became intrigued by the magic, and she wanted to learn too. She talked to the fortune teller, and the fortune teller agreed to teach her the arts of card fighting.
As days passed, she learned more and more about the skill in her cards. Also, as days passed, she grew happier and more open. By the time of her fourteenth birthday, she almost mastered the art of Tarot Cards.
As Miemi began practicing with her Tarot Cards, the fortune teller "foresaw" a prophecy, bent on destroying mankind. He left, without leaving a notice to Miemi. A few days passed, and Miemi didn't see her teacher, so she started to look for him.
As she walked down a trading route, she saw a shadowy figure by a tree next to her. She dashed toward it, and she took a closer look at the figure. She stared wide-eyed, and she saw the fortune teller, all covered in blood. She gasped, and she was terrified. Her sadness turned to anger, and she ran away from the kingdom, finding the killer.
