I have a Hijacker installed on my comp. My only way of getting rid of it... or even finding it is that new Yahoo Adware/Anti-spy thingy... it cant handle it. I need a free Adware/Anti-Spy remover or something to get rid of this gad damned thing... Or i need someone to help me get rid of it... Only way illpay is when it goes away

Simptoms: My homepage is set to http://t.swapx.cc/h.php?aid=31403, my Yahoo LAUNCHcast radio is screwed and actualy opens the same site as listed above, I get alot of popups now and i cant change my homepage back to Gaia's home page crying

Download and install Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware SE. Update the definitions on both. Restart your computer in Safe Mode or in a Diagnostic Startup. Run the scans from there. Restart your computer normally and run the scans again and then utilize Spybot Search & Destroy's Immunization features.

Scratch reinstalling OS. Use HijackThis and strip out the registry entries for whatever spyware/adware/hijackers/unwanted BHOs it reveals in the log, using RegEdit. Then (in XP) shut off System Recovery, reboot, and restart System Recovery to flush out bad save points, and delete any and all spyware folders.

Or you can do most of this with AdAware, SpybotS&D, Spyware Bazooka, and Spysweeper.

Hijack This, whch will help provent hijackers in the future biggrin

First of all SpawnFusion and flakpyro, neither of you get the gold, people answered far before you did, second, you do not help out in this forum for gold, you either help freely or not at all, do not let me see you asking people to pay you for help again please.

Third, PheonixOTE, you have made a post relating to an Illegal Action and it violates Gaia ToS, I recommend you not do it again and next time read the rules and stickies, as your post has been reported.

1st yea i was doing it freindly, and if gold is avalible it is an added bonus.

2nd you are not a moderator and seem to just like to point out peoples wrong doings, if we want to know we will ask so can u stop posting annoying things and prettending to be a mod or admin cuz as far as i know u are not and have no more power than me or any other non staff member

First off, trying to flame with me is not a recommended idea, secondly, if you would stop trying to be a smart a** you will realize in my sig it states I am not a moderator, the smart people usually notice it.

Second, it has been specifically stated, that if you come into this forum to help, you do not do it for gold, even if offered, so read the rules, as you will need to know them if you wish to help out in here.

And the only power I have is being a regular member of this forum, and I for one follow the rules unlike others, so yes I have the right and power to report posts, threads and members that violate either Gaia ToS or Forum Specific rules.

Last, flakpyro, joke or not, as I stated above in this post, if you want to help out in C&T, you do not get gold for helping, this is a volunteer forum, if you want gold for helping someone, do it in CB as that is where you will find them.
