Okay! Here we go:

It's rough... I didn't want to put too much detail in initially because I want to get some of the character's creator's input, too... I wasn't sure just what kind of cat ears she wanted, and I was torn between making her look REALLY cutesy (which in my art style tends to make them look really young) and closer to her age... I don't know how well my compromise came out ^^; But with some suggestions I think I can tweak it to really fit the character. (It was especially difficult for me because I like to know lots and lots of random personality details... I'm odd like that, hehe.)

Okay! On to the next sketch! (Oh, and I hope you liked this pic... ^^ smile

i love your pic, i would have commented earlier, but i lost the link to this forum......hehe, but i still like the pic, way better than my attempts, they look like a 5 year old drew them.........and the ears are just perfect!!! ^.^
she looks different from the concept i had in like grade 5, but she had too much detail back then, this is way better heart heart heart heart heart

I just wanted to say I'm thrilled at the level of activity in this thread recently!

My DSL crashed sometime Tuesday and I've been without internet access for the last 3 days. I'm so glad to see that the thread has flourished despite my absence.

And we've had some pictures posted! They're both wonderful, and the communication between artists and writers is fantastic! I'd hoped in making this thread that there could be a real mixing bowl of ideas and character concepts at work here, and it's just so gratifying to see my idea come together!

Errad and Mealody, I love the way you two are working together! Your picture is gorgeous, Errad, and I hope you and Mealody can continue to work together to make it even better!

Punkass_Munki, I like your picture a lot, particularly the light and textures. Did you create it entirely digitally or did you sketch it out on paper first? I like how it turned out. I've sent Sedge a PM to let her know about your picture, so hopefully by tomorrow she'll have received the message and dropped in to give her opinion.

Are we allowed to link to an image of the character after someone's draw them? Nuu. If not, then I'll remove it.

I don't see any reason why not. Just don't do anything that would upset or insult the artist(s) of your characters picture. As long as everyone's getting along and having fun working together I see no problem with anything.

ooooo... Laureka likes this idea... on character that I ALWAYS have trouble capturing on paper the way I envision her as..... is probably Khora.... 0_0; poor poor Khora is hard to draw.... and Katana as well...

Khora-
She's about 17. She's pretty tall, and her hair is a medium to dark brown. It falls to her knees, but she always has it up one way or another. She's into Lolita clothing, and lvoes the colors black and red. Her eyes are large and spring-grass green, and she wears thick eyeliner and mascara, and she has long, beautiful eyelashes. She sings in an all female rock band, who I imagine would have an evanescence sound to them, mixed with some Kittie and OTEP as well... 0_0; She's doesn't talk much, and gets rather shy around people she doesn't know.

Katana-
About 23. She stands 6'4. Her hair is brown, ankle length, and always worn down. She's a cyborg, and the only part of her body that doesn't have synthetic flesh is the entire right side of her face, which she keeps covered with a wall of hair that is cut to her shoulder for convenience. She pretty much wear whatever, and loves the color red. Her left eye is green and her right eye is red. She has a metal choker around her neck, with a keyhole in the front center. Because half her brain is machine, she doesn't always think straight, so she's somewhat bipolar. SHe's typically just quiet and always looks pissed off, but she's really not. She is scary when angry.

I like your descriptions, Laureka. You gave really great detail, and your characters sound very interesting. I can't wait to see what some of the artists come up with.
