Dapper Elocutionist

Alpha-bet Soup

It's only about three months or so, before the supposed release of Gaia Online's beta phase. As a Q&Fer, I can foresee the next three months as a potential deluge of 'whats', 'wheres', and 'why's. Throughout the one and a half years of alpha that we've experienced, one truth has shone through. Change scares newbies and oldbies alike. When things get rough, surf.

The next three months will most likely be filled with a nonstop wave of change. A wave that started back with Durem, continued through the new layout, and shows no sign of breaking prematurely. Now would be the time to make the most of Gaia that we know and love currently. To hang ten as it were.

I'm guessing that by early August, updates will be released one after another. What does this mean? Well the Q&F will see more traffic than ever before. Imagine Easter for a month and a half. At this point , the water will be hella choppy, and most people will probably bail.

The important thing is, always try to retain your balance. Regardless of what kind of changes come to Gaia, people will inevitably end up using the Q&F as their personal ranting post. The admins will be doing their best, and to thank them, we ought to do our best to maintain calm waters. Please, don't fight fire with fire. Fight it with water... or something. neutral
