"Where is the nearest dog park?" Kyle asked his mobile, while he tried to calm his very hyper dog.
"Turn left down Helm Street. Two blocks down."
Excellent! Kyle thought, even though he was still annoyed his car had broken down. However, he was grateful that a dog park was nearby. The tow-truck wouldn't be around for a few hours, and he thought if a park was near, he could wait his time out there with his dog.
Helm Street was pretty quite, and had large homes hidden almost completely behind overgrown trees and shrubs.
"Kind of spooky", Kyle laughed to himself.
The dog park itself looked nicely kept. A freshly mowed green lawn was just beyond a very large and ancient looking fence.
Strange, Kyle thought while he fought with the latch, trying to get the gate open. His dog whimpered, but Kyle ignored him. Finally, he gave a violent kick to the gate, and it opened with a loud creaking sound.
"Alright!" he said. "Come on now, Rocky, lets have some fun."
Kyle closed the gate, and he was a little startled when he heard just how loud the latch secured behind him.
The park was expansive with a pond in the middle, plenty of doggy sanitation and water stations, and also ones for their human friends. Despite how nice the park was, it was strangely empty.
"This is Saturday? Right Rocky?" Kyle asked his dog, stunned that noone was out enjoying the day with their canine companions.
"Guess we have this whole place to ourselves." He laughed, before he unleased his dog. He then opened his backpack and threw a tennis ball as far as he could for Rocky to chase.
"Get it Rocky!" He called to his dog, who had dashed off after the tennis ball.
Minutes passed and there was no sign of Rocky. Kyle became concerned.
"Rocky?" Kyle called, running to where the tennis ball had gone.
"Rocky?" Kyle scanned the area. "Now where is that dog?"
He picked up the tennis ball, just before he heard a rustle in the thickets that boarded the edge of the park.
"You had better not gone into that forest!" Kyle warned his dog, projecting his voice loudly. "Rocky come out here now!"
Kyle heard the movement of the underbrush. It grew louder, and closer to him. 'Good dog.' He thought.
But the beast that rushed out at him from the forest was not his dog. It was massive with sharp fangs and claws the size of his head. Kyle turned to run, but the beast caught him. It clawed at him, pulling him back towards the dark forest.
Kyle's screams were stifled by the forest as he was dragged into it. His right hand still clutched Rocky's tennis ball.

You slowly try to creep up on the figure. You see a very tall young man dressed like in a strange pilot's outfit, & two plastic dinosaurs sticking from one of his pockets. It looks like he was caught up in the fighting as well. Only he was caught while wearing a costume.

I don't know why I looked up, but when I did I saw him there. He stood against my window. His forehead rested against the glass, and his eyes were still and light and he smiled a lipstick-red, cartoonish grin. And he just stood there in the window. My wife was upstairs sleeping, my son was in his crib and I couldn't move I froze and watched him looking past me through the glass.Oh, please no. His smile never moved but he put a hand up and slid it down the glass, watching me. With matted hair and yellow skin and face through the window.I couldn't do anything. I just stayed there, frozen, feet still in the bushes I was pruning, looking into my home. He stood against my window.

Other times it had been in increments. She would come, see the lights, hear the sounds, and then be gone, back home among the ethereal glittering stars in the Star Kingdom's Observatory. This time she had seen it from the start and the artificial lights were already starting to hurt her eyes. It was time to call it a day.
