Congrats, you clicked on something that brought you into my thread. This is where I give away gold and various items to those who want them, people who are questing, and random people who just happened to show up in the thread - like you. This will most likely be wholly funded by my own pocket. I sell a lot of my CIs on the Marketplace to keep my wallet from being completely empty. I also tend to empty my wallet through avatar art commissions, so if you're selling for quest funds, let me know.

You might have seen my giveaway thread in the Halloween event forum. Wishlist gifts were given out in the thread to over 40 people over the course of a week, with a surprise grand prize of 20 billion pure going to one random poster at the end. I found out that I liked doing that sort of thing, and that apparently I hate having money, so I decided to make a more permanent spot for throwing gold and items at people. And thus, the Festival of Giving is born.

The graphics in the thread are done by Visible Light. There's a banner link to her shop down a few posts. Check her out, she does awesome things.

There are always questions about new threads, especially charities on this board. Who, what, and why are usually the important ones. I'll tackle those in this post.

Who? Me. My name is Maxxyne, and I'm an internet sales representative for an auto dealership in Maryland. I'm female, 28, and going to school for my associate's degree in accounting. I live with the best boyfriend in the world and 3 cats. I have a dark and cynical sense of humor. My hobbies include video games (WoW, Civilization, Shadows of Mordor), Magic: The Gathering, D&D, and staring at cars. I'm a Patriots and Canucks fan. I can't live without music, and my most recent musical loves are Blue Stahli and Caravan Palace.

Now for the what. This thread is part giveaway/contests, part charity. If you're questing for something specific, post in the thread using the form given, and I'll take a look to see if I can help. If you're just trying to win stuff from the thread, post whatever you like with regards to the current contest or giveaway. I'll be the only one lording over the thread, so any contests or giveaways will be run by only me.

And finally, the why. I like giving stuff away. I like making people happy. And apparently I hate having money. I tend to have a steady enough income on Gaia through the Marketplace that I can afford to throw some gold at someone, or toss a wishlist item at a stubborn quester. I've had people donate wishlist items for me in the past, and now I'd like to pay it forward a little bit.

Since I'm someone who changes avatars more than most people change their underwear, I'll keep a collection of screenshots here for references. I'm more than willing to donate to your cause in exchange for art, or just buy it off you because that's what the economy is.
