The main character was a LabTech working at the underground facility at G CORP back before the zombie outbreak craziness, Mister Gambino had he and his peers working on one of his insane genetic manipulation experiments around the clock. Our hero being an enthusiastic scientist was only working there to further his own goals and realize his dream of creating a device that could allow Gaians to traverse dimensional barriers and explore new lands, cure disease, enrich life as Gaians know it. He worked by day on the plots of a madman by day and by night he toiled away in secret on his true passion, cleverly concealed within his lab.

For months he worked day and night, then the foolish choices of the few, condemned many. The events of Halloween 2K4 brought the destruction of the mansion, the work his colleagues exhausted their efforts towards as well as ended their lives. Sealed in his laboratory the LabTech wasn't aware of the events upstairs and was only alerted when the mansion's security systems locked down the facility, trapping him in his lab surrounded by the reanimated remains of his former companions.

Our hero narrowly escaped the zombie riddled facility and silent flash protocol that destroyed everything by using his not nearly ready for human testing, portal device. As the undead began breaking into the lab he managed to grab his research notes (what scientist wouldn't risk their life to save their work), his tools wrapped up in some extra lab uniforms nearby found nearby and a sample of the serum Gambino had him working on before he leapt headfirst into the untested device. The blast destroyed the facility, the undead and the device, everyone assumed he had been killed in the incident...

After a disorienting psychedelic trip though space and time, he wound up in another dimension (Alternate Gaia) where he was trapped without a way to get back home. Finding himself in a familiar yet bizarre setting and knowing where to turn he found himself turning to the only place that he could think of to find his way home... Using his knowledge of the facility he was able to get himself hired at "P CORP" as a supervisor because of his engineering background, in this timeline the facility was focused more on technological endeavors instead of genetic manipulation, though lab animals were still used for experimentation, oddly colored rabbits in particular. He took a liking to one of them, and took it on as his pet. Having reminded him of his deceased friend LabTech101's pet he named her Prunny. For an entire year he worked day and night on a new portal device, using all of the facilities to their fullest extent.

Fate wasn't on his however before he could complete the device Halloween had come again, the year 2k5... One year after the horrible events that led to his exile to this damnable dimension. Depressed and alone in his lab, on the night before the big Halloween bash in the mansion above his beloved pet was killed in an accident when one of the interns knocked over a pallet of phase dispersers and the coolant began to leak out, being toxic it quickly killed the animal as she stopped to taste the glowing teal liquid...

In a fit of grief, he collected his pet and retreated to his lab, slamming the door and drawing the blinds. Pacing around sweating and cursing he couldn't accept the loss of his companion, then in a moment of blinding clarity he remembered the vial, the vial that he kept locked away in his desk, the serum that could revive the dead, the one that started the outbreak! Without thinking of the repercussions he dosed the animal, it was a miracle Prunny was alive! Overjoyed he didn't stop to think about any side effects, he swooped up his pet and for the first time since their meeting he was bitten! She fled the lab through an exposed ventilation duct and wasn't seen for the rest of the night. Not having knowledge of the events going on at the same time at home with the Grunny invasion he nursed his wound and went back to work.

Unbeknownst to him, while he was toiling away his beloved pet was hard at work infecting the lab animals, spreading the mutated P VIRUS through their helpless little bodies. As the night turned to day, the bite began to take effect on our hero. He started to feel slow, had trouble concentrating on his work but he was determined to get home. All day he slaved away, nearing completion just as the party began. The virus had taken him, his mind was warped, merging with that of the parasite growing within, his thoughts turned to vengeance, hatred for those that had imprisoned him here...

He activated the teleporter and found his beloved pet, then ripped a strip of fabric from his shirt, using it as a devious yet fashionable evil scarf. He went to the cages and released the infected lab animals! LabTech Y was born, as his minions spread though the lab and leaked into the mansion above infecting the population he took his Prunny and entered the portal to spread the gift he had been bestowed to the people who caused his suffering. To Gaia, let the Prunny invasion begin!

Handheld Prunny animal, attached to the user's arm.

Hanging similar to the bite pose from the Kiki plushie but not so comical.

Though this isn't quite the vial of unknown liquid people have wanted, I thought a recolor would be a nice nod to the original.

One of the poses Prunny has that Grunny does not, this Prunny pose is meant to simulate the original Grunny riding on the LabTech's cap.
I intend to give users the chance to dress up like that original Grunny wearing LabTech.

Would allow for users who love the skin to use it without sacrificing their hair.
Maybe people hated the final stages of the Grombies for this reason, again I am to please.

A version of the stage 5 skin with darkened eyes, withered features and no Prunny present on its head.
Theory being that the Prunny has abandoned the host, leaving a dead, lifeless shell behind.
A stage 6 if you will, after the Prunny has used the host to the fullest and had departed to infect new victims.
