Welcome to Strawberry The Kitten Charity!
Sharima and iLyfa decided to start this charity because they have been shown huge amounts of love & generosity since the day they came back from hiatus. They wanted a way to give back to all of you and of course, help the people who are new to Gaia!
They started a fund raising thread in 2013 and another one in 2014 where they have earned donations to add on their earnings for the charity. The charity is now running and helping others because of the sponsors, donors and artists that they have met during the fund raising period. Some of the sponsors and donors are also the same people who have helped and continues to help them in their quests. Various artists are also conducting art auctions for the charity's fund.
The charity officially opened last March 17, 2014. In just 10 days after the opening, the charity reached 300 pages. The charity is being monitored by Sharima and iLyfa. They are both using the charity mule, StrawberryTheKitten. The mule is the one who is handling all the funds and donations towards the charity.

Hey all! My name is Sharima, but feel free to call me Shar, or anything really, just don't call me late for dinner! rofl I am 24 and live in beautiful BC, Canada. I've been on Gaia a total of 10 years. I took a small hiatus between 2010-2013 due to becoming homeless & trying to build a foundation for myself again. I will say that being homeless was one of the best experiences I've gone through. It has truly humbled me and my whole perspective on the world has changed. I grew up in a household where I was told the world is a crappy place & while the poor continued to struggle & get poorer, the rich get richer. Well, after becoming homeless, due to no fault of my own I may add, those beliefs were shattered. The world wasn't such an awful place. I met SO many kind & generous people in those 3 years that it has & continues to overwhelm me. My confidence in humanity restored and false beliefs about myself shattered as well!
Since I've come back to Gaia (Nov 2013), I have experienced the SAME kindness and generosity that I have experienced in real life. Although I know I cannot give back much in real life at the moment, the thought of opening a Charity here on Gaia kept crossing my mind! Then I found someone who had the same interest. iLyfa and I met and have been friends ever since. She and I decided to co-own a charity together to give back to you lovely people! So, here we are!! Hello there! I'm iLyfa, 20 years old. I'm an anime lover. I like watching movies (japanese/korean) and playing rpg games. Oh and I'm a strawberry lover by the way. I make personalized graphics here in Gaia such as banners and layouts. Hmmm... I collect berry and cat items here on Gaia. I've been in a long hiatus too like Sharima and after going back here last October 2013, I decided to open a charity so I can share to other Gaians the help and kindness I've been receiving. Well, hiya :3 Hinanawi here or Hina for short. I'm 21 years old (will be 22 in July) and currently studying to be a Computer Programmer. Ever since I was little, Video games and Computers have been my passion, so you can say I'm quite a techie. I was actually introduced to Gaia ages ago (when I was in like Middle School), but it looked so foreign to me and thus my stay was very short. Late January of 2014, I made my return giving Gaia another shot and I certainly was greeted with a warm welcome. As a kid, I was spoiled (like a whole bunch rofl, getting mostly everything I wanted. Can't get em all right? Anyway, I loved the feeling of getting something new, so I decided why not share that emotion with other people? Looking at the Marketplace, I can't say I'm surprised that items were inflated (given the economy and whatnot) as I've experienced this in other games. But even with that, I still want to help people complete their Dream Avis. I only work Part Time at my Local Library, but I feel I should at least do what I can to see a Smile on people's faces.
