Hello! I'm Nintendraw, and I am a vice captain for a Pokemon RP guild (uncreatively) named It's Just a Game. We seek literate RPers capable of writing 2+ paragraphs per post and capable of moving this RP forward. This minimum exists because this guild has been restarted five times (this time being the fifth) and we would very much love to see this revival be the last. Fifth time is a charm! Right?
In this RP, your character is invited by company mail to an exclusive beta-testing event by Nintendo, hosted in Kyoto itself. The company has developed a new game system and seeks to test it using its Pokemon Black/White/Black2/White2 games as a base. Ostensibly, the event is merely to test its new virtual reality game systems, but a darker secret lurks behind these circuits--he or she who tests these machines will be instantly sucked into the game! After "internalization", the character wakes up in Nuvema Town, but they are not their normal selves--in fact, they have taken on the appearance and (depending on how closely you shape your character to the Pokemon Adventures manga) personality of one of the Pokemon universe's protagonists. Since your character, along with everyone else's who was invited to the beta event, is effectively starting their own game in the region of Unova, no one knows how to get back out. Virtual reality has taken on a whole new dimension here. Stimulus is not restricted to the visual--your character can become hungry, tired, injured, or--if they really aren't careful--dead, and the same can happen to their companions and their Pokemon. In order to complete the event and return to the real world, each character must battle their way through Unova's eight gyms, collect clues, and avoid the sinister forces amassed against them...
Each player must choose a Pokemon hero from this list in order to be able to enter the game. Think of these Pokemon heroes as masks for your OCs--in-game, each OC takes on the likeness of a hero from their Pokemon game, but they are by no means bound to act like their hero. Currently, all of the Johto, Hoenn, and Sinooh (mostly) characters are open, and due to expected vacancies, Blue, Calem, Gold, and Shauna may be open as well.
