Xiao Hwen Artists is a joint art shop that has been running since 2005. Life has gotten busy for our main artists so we're looking for some lively souls who would like to join us on a temporary basis.

We currently have a Mario Kart theme to the shop. All of our guest artists will be required to make an appropriate chibi kart picture for their post.

This is for a Guest Artist Position
We are currently only accepting 2 artists to join us at this time.
We will be rotating and looking for new guest artists every 6 months.
If you cannot commit to being active for 6 months, Do Not Apply!
In the 4-5th month of each cycle, we will open applications for 1 month, at the end of that month we will choose the next 2 guest artists. So if you are not accepted the first time, feel free to apply again!

You will not have access to the thread mule, instead we will ask you to provide us with samples/prices to post on the main shop page, and we'll link directly to a thread (that you will make) in our guild that you can update.

You will have 2 weeks to come up a theme appropriate picture for your post on the main page.
Join our guild and set up a thread with your status and current work list (and anything else you like)
Be active in the shop! That means hanging out, chatting, and offering commissions somewhat regularly (at the very least when you start)
No Drama! Xiao Hwen is a drama-free zone, please be respectful to artists and thread visitors.

If you do not follow through on these expectations, we will choose another guest artist.

Why do you want to join Xiao Hwen? I feel like Xiao Hwen artists sing the songs of my people. It's a group of people passionate about art who don't mind getting down and strait up nerdy and I feel really at home with the regulars. I want to expand my art and try new things--not stick to just headshots, and I think being around talented friends would give me that extra drive to experiment, have fun, and push myself to go beyond my comfort level in company of good critique. 3nodding
