If you don't know us, we're post-apocalyptic deer shop. You can read up on us more by clicking the links above! Please excuse our dust as we are currently doing serious construction to the core of our shop. We hope you like what you see and can look a little past the mess.
This shop uses blank bases (without faces) so you must be able to edit, and we generally like our colorists to be artistic all around, and flexible in the sort of things he or she can draw. You must be fun and willing to do free-events every once in a while. Greedy attitudes will not fly here, no sir! We'd rather you be here for fun, rather than the gold (you do make a ton of that too, but shush).
Herla are extremely customizable and require lots of attention from their colorists, but we feel that the effort is well worth it!
•2 full-time colorists xxx- 3-5 slots (customs or breedings) per month. 2 of these slots may be a bribe. xxx- 2-4 Familiar slots per month. Limit 1 rare per month. xxx- 1 breeding every other month (no more, no less unless Poisin Ivy Josephine says otherwise), it takes up a slot for that month. xxx- 2-3 give-away herla (flatsales, raffles, flaffles, etc.) per month, option of 1-2 less during event months. •4 part-time colorists xxx- 1-3 slots (customs or breedings) per month. 1 of these slots may be a bribe. xxx- 1-2 Familiar slots per month. Limit 1 rare every other month. xxx- 1 breeding every 3 months (4 a year), it takes up a slot for that month. xxx- 1-2 give-away herla (flatsales, raffles, flaffles, etc.) per month, option of 1-2 less during event months. •1 part-time familiar colorist - Edited or Unedited xxx- 1-2 Familiar slots per month. Limit 1 rare every other month. xxx- 1-2 give-away familiars (flatsales, raffles, flaffles, etc.). xxx- More familiars may be required during gram events.
It could be more or it could be less based on the number of applicants and quality of the work presented. Just be aware that we are looking for dedicated, hard working individuals that are punctual, friendly and fair. Biased behaviors will not be tolerated and tardy, sloppy or repeated absenteeism will ultimately end in termination. H&H used to be much more laid back with colorists and colorist rules, this caused a few problems in the past. We're trying to work through all that, and if you don't think you're up for the task, we ask that you reconsider applying to our shop. We're not slave drivers but we have high expectations. We do understand that everyone that applies is human, no more and no less. All we ask is that if you're going to be late on something, need help finishing your work or need to take a hiatus, that you simply keep us and our customers informed.
We have implemented a set of rules for colorists to follow.
We recommend that you give them a look over also before you make your final decision.
Here is the herla template for use in samples. It may only be used for application purposes.

Mock Breedings Please note that some of these are real couples and some of them are not, but any offspring that is produced is strictly for hiring purposes; They will not be used for anything else.
One last thing, if you applied the last time we did hiring, we suggest that you turn in some entirely new Herla samples as the last time we were hiring was about a year ago. We would really like to see your new work instead of old ones that we had seen before!

As an incentive to get people here, we'll be offering a fabulous custom prize!
We'll give you one (1) point a day for each day that you post the advertising code! If someone applies and says you referred them, we'll give you five (5) points. The person with the most points will be given a simple-medium custom of their choosing. So get as many people as you can to apply!
If you remove the banner from your signature, you don't get that days points. Likewise if you forget to post for your points for the day, you won't get them for that day.
Remember, we can only hire from the people that apply. If you know a colorist that you really like, or have a friend that you think would be good in H&H, please send them our way!
