                                                          Once upon a time, in a place called California, lived a happy, little roller derby team called the Toxic Hearts. The team was ran by two twin sisters, two partners in crime, who did everything together and loved their team to death. The were the best in California and had been undefeated in the state-wide championship three years in a row. Everything seemed perfect.

                                                          Until one day, scandal and animosity broke out among the small group, which turned the twin sisters against each other in the end. Through the tension and quite physical fighting, the two decided to split up. However, each sister went on to each create their own derby teams! The first twin created The Heartbreakers, two of the original teammates following her. the second twin creating The Toxic Ghosts, the last original teammate joining her. After several months, each finally found other teammates and even coaches. The Heartbreakers stayed in their hometown of Santa Barbara while The Toxic Ghosts moved to Long Beach.

                                                          However, both teams are arch rivals. There's only four months and ten bouts, including two prestigious tournaments, until the state-wide championship. Who will take home the gold? What if some girls end up befriending ladies from the opposing team and even falling for them?

                                        ★Paragraph form! Sort of. I'll keep these basic and such. This one will be simple, I, Temporarily Blinded, am the creator of this roleplay, obey me. If you have any questions then please ask me.

                                        ★Please follow Gaia T.O.S. If you don't know what they are then look them up on the forums, they're right out in the open and not hard to read. There shouldn't be ANY sexual activity going on so no cybering whatsoever. Romance is, however, encouraged as well as fighting, every good roleplay needs drama and fights to stay alive. Just, don't kill anyone without permission from me and the person playing that character.

                                        ★Posts must be pretty. At least put a picture or two, your characters name, and some lyrics or quotes , that's all we ask. I'd love a post at least three or four times a week. More would be loved, but it's not necessary. Honestly, a roleplay doesn't go very far if posts are stretched over weeks, people get bored and sick of waiting for responses. If you're completely lost or know you're going somewhere for a few days and cannot post, then message me, I don't bite.

                                        ★As far as literacy goes, this a lit. roleplay, so each post should have at least two to four good paragraphs. If you can't type up to two paragraphs then leave right now. One liners are not acceptable! Not all of us enjoy reading novels of posts, so cut down to a four paragraph maximum for those of you who are amazing like that and can type so much. We love ya, just don't love reading your posts. Grammar and Spelling mistakes are acceptable every once in a while, but try not to make them in every single post!

                                        ★Characters! This is mainly YURI since there will be mainly girls! But I will also throw in some hetero considering I will be accepting various other roles! NO YAOI, though. Also for character appearances, roller derby is a rough and tumble sport and you must have lots of attitude. Therefore, I want pretty, yet bitchy and aggressive-looking girls on the teams. That means don't be afraid to have scene kids, bikers, bitchy-looking models, etc. For the extra characters, you can use whoever as long at they're NOT famous!


                                        ★This is basic as well, there is to be no godmodding or autohitting. Seriously, if you're going to get in a fight then expect to be hit if you're allowing your character to hit someone else's. Don't be a big baby about it, and someone has to win the fight, if you lose then get over it understood? Good. Your character can't be almighty, nobody has super powers, and nobody is invincible, people may or may not get hurt in this RP but it's always safe to be prepared for such occurrences.

                                        ★Next up is respect. Respect is key for any sort of relationship or group gathering or just life in general. Please respect your fellow Roleplayers, don't fight in OOC, and your character cannot hate another character because you have a squabble with their puppeteer and if your characters are sworn enemies, then don't hate the puppeteer, that stuff is just childish and rather annoying.

                                        ★Send all the forms to Temporarily Blinded. Send reserves titled "Whip it!". I don't feel like doing profiles so. Thank You! And please, please, please send me a link to your samples when you send in your reserve! That's right, samples are required! No offense to anyone, but I don't want crappy roleplayers in here.

                                              Henny has a temper. She is angry all the time, and she doesn't hide it well. She likes to fight, scream, kick, and demolish. Her father calls her the "little destroyer". Her father is a big staple in her life. He's a magazine editor, and brings in the big bucks. He's tried to make sure that Henny doesn't want for anything ever, to try and quell the fire in her tiny bones. But, that just sent her even more over the edge. All of her little gimmicks turned into pleas for attention from her all-business dad. Eventually, the law caught up with her. The deal was juvie, or find a community based activity to silence her rage. Henny was all set for juvie, she didn't even bother to think that there was an activity to calm her down. She'd tried meditation before, no go. Her father had a thought and took her to a roller derby match and instantly Henny fell in love with the vicious girls on the track. She wanted to be just like them. And, as soon as she was of legal age, she raced to try out for The Heartbreakers. Because that's what Henny was. She would break your heart and then your nose and even an arm, if you were lucky.

                                              Jules was born to a single father— her mother died shortly after giving birth from a hemorrhage. They lived happily for years until Jules turned 15 and her father remarried. Shortly after that her younger sister was born. Over the years her father began spending less and less time with her and her stepmother wanted him to only focus on his “new” family. Her father kept going along with his new wife’s wishes and that made his first daughter begin to act out— both in school and in general. She began getting into fights with anyone who would take her on, and even some who wouldn’t. Jules’ stepmother told her father to kick her out and he did. That was when she was 18. Since then she’s been living on her own and recently started roller derby as a way to quell her anger issues and the resentment she feels towards her family.

                                              Mikella was lucky to be born with a twin sister, but as the two of them were born their mother died, it seemed that she lost so much blood during the operation that she died while the two girls were still not completely out. Though, it was a miracle that both of them survived, since the doctors said that the oxygen in their mother's body wasn't enough for the three of them to breathe in. However, they were raised by there father in California, and since most of the time he was at work the two girls became independent on each other. The two girls always saw a group in their school that used to do fun stuff after school, not knowing what they were doing the two girls decided to join. It turned out that the their classmates used to go to watch two teams skate, it was called roller derby. Ever since, both of them decided that they were going to be the best at this, and they made it happen. They both were the leaders of the Toxic Hearts, they and the team members were so close, and always seen together. They have won the state-wide championship three years in a row. Until one day they cam to break apart, Mikella and her twins sister were now officially rivals. Mikella made her own team, she called it Toxic Ghosts, they moved to Long Beach, and that's when they found their new trainer. Now, the only thing that was left to do, was for them to face each other on the rank, and see who was the best.

                                              Phoenix is the second oldest of four children and is the only girl among the bunch. Growing up with three brothers, she was taught to toughen up real quick and often wrestled and fought with her older brother. Feeling more comfortable around guys, as she grew up, Phoenix even joined a rock band formed by boys who went to the same performing arts school she did. She's the only girl and the leader singer. However, she's in roller derby not only because she loves it, but the money she makes off of bouts helps her take care of her two younger brothers now that their parents are....gone. Phoenix just wishes band practice and roller derby practice didn't clash so much. She's an original team member of the Toxic Hearts.

                                              As far as a sob story history, Michelle doesn't have one. Her father and her mother were still together, she had two older brothers something that got her used to rough housing. She hung out with her brothers friends trying to fit in and be one of the guys. She was never really close to other kids her own age, and that followed her through high school. She ignored her classmates and they ignored her back. She hung out with only her brothers and their friends until she hit college. Thats when she had to find new friends, and found a whole team of them, the rugby team. Getting her kicks with the rough sport she was adopted by the older girls and taught how to actually be a tough guy and a girl. She was introduced to the roller derby world by a teammate. Less rules and better costumes? Yes please.

                                              Ms. Mother Theresa--you wish! Pretty much born into an overpopulated orphanage, she was forced to take care of her annoy foster brothers and sisters, all six of them, while their "guardians" were off blowing the funds from the state. She'd deluded herself so far into thinking the little bastards were adorable, that she went to a small town college to watch them instead of booking it out to the high-end schools she knew she really wanted to be at. In fact, when they closed the medical studies branch of her school and virtually dumped her on the streets with no diploma, Theresa ran back to her foster parents' home hoping for a helping hand. Long story short, they kicked her out and none of the cute little girls and boys she'd sacrificed so much to take care of even attempted to stop them. So Theresa threw away her dreams of being a doctor, decided to go by "Terry" and hit the streets. Terry got her first job as a waitress, then bumped up to her current employment: bartending. She adapted from her previous sweet life to the rutheless evey-man-for-themselves way of the gutters pretty quickly, and even found a great way to pass the time since she didn't have a real bright future to look forward to. Terry found out about roller derbies from her nights manning the bar and secretly practiced for months before trying out for a team. One team, the destined champs of California THE TOXIC GHOSTS.

                                              If one had to figure out how to describe Casper's life, it would be a warped version of 'Annie'. The only difference would that her new rich 'papa' copped a feel more then a few times-among other things- and she was too scared to do anything about it for a long period of time. When she turned sixteen, six years after she was adopted, she finally gathered up the courage to steal her 'papa's' money and ran away from the city of London to California. For five years she worked at a bookstore, quiet and reserved from everyone, and as far as anybody knew, she was 'Casper the Friendly Ghost': no anger, so nothing. Wrong. If one looked at her apartment, they'd see that there are holes in the wall where she punched and kicked. When she heard of The Toxic Ghosts, she knew she had to join it, and so she taught and trained herself to roller-skate. Soon after that, she joined the team.
