Parlour: n. a room for the reception and entertainment of visitors to one's home; living room.

Staying true to the definition above, I have created this place in hopes of fostering intelligent and fun socialization; in other words, let's have fun and hang out! As a roleplayer, I would also like to invite people to truly imagine this as a real parlour room, so feel free to roleplay/hang out accordingly!

Just to add something fun, I also hope to implement themes (events, too) to keep things lively! If you are visualizing The Parlour with roleplaying in mind, the room and its decor will change to the themes appropriately.

Here's a little layout of The Parlour that you can base your own visualizations on, if you'd like:

05/06/12; Grand opening! The theme is the 1920's (or just a fancy ball)!

Pretty good, though a little nervous about making a thread like this. I'm a little introverted, so it feels pretty weird. I mean, somebody already gave it a "</3", so maybe I did something wrong? I was just looking for some company to cure my boredom. XD

Don't worry about it though, you'll do fine ^^ With enough time, and maybe after more people are on during the day, this place will be hoppin'! I remember being the same when I started my own thread.. it took me quite a while to actually post it up, but i figured i was tired enough of boredom and, while it wasn't quite successful, I still got to meet really nice people. Just have to give it some time : )

Yeah, I was going to make a private one to invite just my friends, but I decided that meeting new people is an awesome experience I didn't want to miss out on. I come from the roleplaying community, so I feel pretty ready for any hostility that may come. XD

What was your thread called; is it still up and running?

Haha definitely! You could always post in other threads too, ya'know? : P That's what I usually do. Roleplaying community? Haha I don't have the balls ('scuse the language) to join in there xD I love writing an' all, but .. eh.. I don't know. Is it really as hostile as you make it seem, there? o.o

It was called Up Up and Away~ (in reference to a movie) but never got any responses so I added 'Chat with me?' and then I had about.. three? people come in. Then my friends did so I wouldn't feel so lonely xD Or maybe we just love taking over any and all threads here xP It isn't active, no.

There's an idea I might use, although I'm a bit tired to do so right now. XD

Oh, it's not so bad, really. If you're picky like me, though, then your options narrow until you only end up finding more elitists than you do compatible players. It just depends on where you go!

Ah, I see. Sounds like it was fun while it lasted, though. I'll probably give the link to some of my own friends later on, but I'm curious to know how many others are feeling night-owlish right now!
