FEEDBACK WANTED
Revamping the spells section to incorporate something I'll be calling "Pet Showings" or pet displays -- Eeee this is the product of many sleepless nights and trying to find a way to make this BC special ♥♥ And draws inspiration from Pokemon Contests
► These will be held as special events in-guild probably
► It works as a combination roleplay / battle system ^^ This is how they work:
- All pets will be sent an invitation to participate in a Pet Showing
- To participate, you pay a small fee
- Every participating pet will be assigned a number (according to when they sign up for the event)
- There will be 2 rounds for pets to "Appeal" to the judge
- The order of each round will be decided by random by drawing from the assigned numbers of pets participating
- For each round You roll 3 (x-sided) Dice
DICE 1: Appeal Value of Spell 1
DICE 2: Appeal Value of Spell 2
DICE 3: Type Effectiveness
-When you first roll, you MUST post which spells you are using; something like:
Spell 1: Fireball (LV: 2, BP: 30)
Spell 2: Inferno (LV:2, BP: 50)
** If you're only using one spell, Dice 2 does not count
-After rolling, you edit the response to write an RP post on the round your pet participated in etc.etc.
-You will get a score for each round based on your roll and your RP post
WHAT ARE SPELLS?
There are 5 elemental types.
Each Elemental Type has 5 possible levels.
In each level, you can learn up to 5 different spells.
Each spell has a progressive "base power"
Spells are obtained through collecting items (see
[X]) / paying gold
**NOTE 1: gold can only be used to purchase spells within that level type.
**NOTE 2: You must learn all the spells within a level before you can learn spells in the next level
**NOTE 3: The spells within a level can be learned in any order
WHAT IS TYPE EFFECTIVENESS
Like pokemon, there is an elemental type advantage/disadvantage chart
Depending on the order you go in, this may be
added to your own score (if you are following someone that has a type disadvantage) AND/OR
subtracted from the score of the person following you (if they have a type disadvantage).
SCORING
The final score for your "Showing" will be
[ (Spell 1 Base Power) + (Spell 1 Appeal Value) ] x Spell 1 Level
+ [ (Spell 2 Base Power) + (Spell 2 Appeal Value) ] x Spell 2 Level
+ Roleplay Score
+ Your Own Type Effectiveness (if applicable)
- Another Person's Type Effectiveness (if applicable)
The final winner will get a special reward item art (think like Pokemon Ribbons) + half of the total event earnings
