:: Living Avatars! Joint Shop Recruitment Thread ::

Living Avatars, an assorted group of artists, is hiring artists and assistants for the new Joint Shop!
Applications are now being accepted for a variety of positions,
and shop owners, if chosen, may choose whatever service they would like to sell.

If you don't get chosen, don't worry!
Applications for Guest Artists will be available in the shop soon.

What we're looking for...

- Three or four regular shop owners.
We prefer that each shop has its own service so as to not compete with other shops.
Therefore, please avoid these shop types already taken:
animation, avatar edits, banners, profile coding, avatar art.
Shop owners must know how to work well with customers as well as other artists.

- Assistant animator for the Animation Branch.
Since AC can't always be online, he needs a few assistants to help him with the work load.
Assistant animators should know how to animate avatars and be able to take on large orders.
They must be able to keep track of orders and trades and stay organized.

More positions may open up, so check back every once and a while.

Rules for being a part of this Shop

1. Shop owners do not have to be committed solely to this shop;
however, they should not advertise their other shops unless created as an extention (such as the Edit Branch).

2. Artists must be active members of the shop and the Gaia community;
long absences may result in removal from the shop.

3. Along the lines of #2, all orders must be completed within a six week time frame from when it was commissioned.
If this cannot be done, you must notify us as well as the customer.

4. You may close all of your slots (if you have them) for up to three months.
However, you must reopen them for at least ONE commission after those three months are over before you can re-close it.
This is to keep shops somewhat active.

5. You must be respectful to the clients and fellow artists.

6. All shop owners share a common mule account (this one).
While trades still go to you, the shop is managed through this account, which means that your shop posts may be edited or changed slightly.
If this bothers you, do not apply.

Okay, well, this doesn't seem to fit in much with your artists so far, but that means it isn't a repeat, right? sweatdrop

How active are you around Gaia?: Very much so. I'm on at least once a day.

Tell us a little about yourself: Well, let's see. I'm fairly modest, so I'm no good at describing myself.... urm... I can draw, I guess. I've been studying and drawing myself for as long as I can remember, and I love seeing someone enjoy my art. I'm very, very honor-bound--once I make a commitment, I will do all in my power to keep it. I am a jack of all trades, good with photo-manipulation and such, pixels, and I am currently drawing up some lines for a B/C shop. But that will take me a LONG while. I need at least four species ready before I start, and I'm only at 1.5.... sweatdrop Anyways. I love intelligent conversation and discussion, as well as any critique you can throw my way.
On that note, please-- if there is anything wrong or off with my art, tell me. By doing so you make me a better artist and that much more able to make someone out there happy.
But on the flip side, well, don't go flaming me because you "hate my art". One, it's rude to say so (I'd prefer an "I don't enjoy your style" ) , and two, you are obviously not well-mannered if you do so.
But that's just in general. It's not like I expect people to be that silly. rolleyes
I don't really get the point in bumping, so please don't ask me to. I'll hold up a conversation should it interest me, but nothing less.
Ummm, what else. I love to write, I suppose. *looks over the large amount of writing just before this* It comes quite naturally for me to type in this wonderfully diverse language we call English, and as such, I might possibly be annoyed at someone who "typs leik dey jst dun care". I can stomach light chatspeak, but barrel me with it and you'll either get an earful or the cold shoulder.

I can also touch my tongue to my nose, if you care. razz
