Welcome one and all to the Appreciative Roses Charity! This charity has been open for almost two years,striving to help Gaians achieve their ultimate dreams. Through many trials we have come but we stand before you now much stronger and more than ever ready to assist you all we can! Though the ownership of this charity has shifted hands, the feelings we hope to give you and the friendly atmosphere you will find here remains.

We welcome new and old Gaians and do our very best to make sure that everyone is happy and gets along. In this charity we make it a point to donate only to those who are willing to stay and become regulars of this thread so please come and stay. There are always friendly faces around here and for those who are deserving the donations you'll find will be worth it. So now we invite you to kick back, relax, and have a cup of tea with us here at

Rules are here for a reason, we ask that you please follow these simple ones and help make this a safe and comfortable environment for everyone!

-Follow the Gaia T.O.S
Those who do not follow these laws that govern all of Gaia are not welcome here, and will be reported to a site Moderator.

-Do not beg in this thread.
To receive a donation stick around, chat, and PM and application to the charity mule, if you prove to be a kind and loyal person you may receive a donation at the end of 2 weeks time here.

-Do not PM any member of this thread begging.
This is very important. It is considered very rude and lacking in class to Pm anyone on Gaia asking for gold or items. The best way to earn gold on your own is to get involved in the Gaia community and the best way to earn gold in this thread is to stick around and chat. We promise we won't bite if you follow the rules.

-Keep conversations wholesome.
This is not a thread full of prudes, however we do have some younger members. Gaia online is a site oriented towards teenagers and young adults, thus conversations of an inappropriate nature are not allowed here in this thread. This also means that we would prefer if the profanity is kept to a minimum.

-Type things out in full English.
This rule is new here at Appreciative Roses. The ownership change has brought about leadership that does not like chatspeak. Please try not to remove vowels unnessecerily from words or use L33t speech here. Common internet abbreviations (LOL, BRB, OMG and others) are fine. If you have any questions as to what is acceptable under this rule, post them here in the thread and a regular or member of the staff will be glad to answer.

-Pay attention and respect to the staff.
When a member of the thread staff says something or warns you, please take heed. Thesepeople are staff for a reason and their instructions must be followed. In the event of a conflict, listen to the owners or staff. If none are present see the regulars for instructions.

-Do not be ungrateful.
Please, do not whine about your donation. If you have not yet received one and feel you've been a good member of the thread PM the mule with a polite inquiry. Do not complain that your donation was not large enough. We donate what we can at the time, if our funds are low chances are that the donation amount will be as well. Just stick around and keep chatting and you may get more donations over time.

-Do not advertise in this thread.
If you would like to affiliate with this thread and have your banner placed on the front page, please PM the mule with a link to your banner. Feel free to have your threads advertised in your signature and post styles, but do not post a banner and leave or you will be reported and blacklisted.

-Be polite.

The regular members of Appreciative Roses are people who have posted here often and for more than just a few pages. They are all deserving of respect and if there are not staff members about, their word is law. Every couple of weeks or so the names of all the regulars will be thrown into a bowl and drawn out. The first drawn will receive 100k, second will receive 75k, third will receive 50k, fourth will receive 25k, and anyone else we decide deserves it will get 10k. We love oure regulars! Thank you for making this place what it is.

Poetry Contest
This contest is very simple. Write a short poem about this charity, the people in it, roses in general, charity in general, or what this charity means to you. Send your finished poem to the Charity mule.
The winner of this contest will receive 25k and their poem will be featured on the first post of the charity.
-Limited to one entry per person.
-Contest ends when 10 people have entered.
-Entrants must have posted in the thread regularly for at least a week.
-All work must be your own. Plagarism will not be tolerated.

Page contests
Occasionally the charity mule will host a page contest. When that happens simply chat on the page listed as the contest page. On the next page the mule will roll a dice and the post number that comes up will win a prize!
-Do not bump or spam on the contest page

Weekly TekTek contest
Every week a new theme will be posted here.
The winner each time will recieve 7k
-One entry per person.
-At least 3 entries need to be submitted for the prize to be awarded
-Winners will be announced every TUESDAY

BUMP mania
Bump 500 times in the thread.
Recieve 5k
-You may only win this ONCE
