Welcome to this quest thread! It's not a bad place, but I don't think this'll ever end - I'm questing for practically everything, you see. Maybe you could stay and bump, and take part in some contests - I'm not against donating to people, and I've been known to give out Letters, art, MCs and even a Masquerade to people I like! <3 Also, I try to make my contests very easy, so you have a good chance of winning. ;3

CAUTION: this thread was compiled by a seriously OCD girl. If that scares you, run. If you check the 'shop' post, you might notice what I mean. Also best viewed if you have all images whitelisted, or at least photobucket. <3

This was originally a quest thread for a Halloween dream avatar featuring a Nitemare Scarf. I got fed up with the way I was questing, frankly, which was hoarding all my gold for that one item and feeling incredibly guilty whenever I went to touch anything else. So I'm starting afresh and doing things differently this time - whenever I make a decent sum of gold, such as from the sale of an EI or MC or some such, I'll put half of the money into a mule account towards my Scarf. The other half can be for more or less instant gratification spending (or smaller quests that don't cost quite so much as the Scarf does, at least). I'm also questing pretty much everything, as I mentioned before, so if you scroll down you'll find my current obsessions, and beneath that such quest sections as MCs+EIs+rares, shop items (a huge quest as I'm aiming to get every single shop item) and game items. The small list of huge items at the bottom of this post are pretty much another matter altogether - they're items I dream constantly of owning, but know it'll be very difficult to ever obtain the funds for them. They're going to serve as a constant reminder for me. ^^

The name of this thread comes from an amazing band of the same name. While they may not be my favourite band, they hands down have the greatest band name ever. <33 The thread layout is by Synchronised Mosher, and if you click the button a little down and to the right you'll find yourself at her shop.

Last I checked, shop items were reasonably cheap, and no matter what MC-heavy tektek I may create there's always at least one shop item involved. So I figured I'd do a little big quest here. I'm going to have a go at getting every single one of the shop items, one shop at a time. Starting with the Barton Boutique, actually, owned by the gorgeous Rufus and gracious Ian. <3 [/end Spicks & Specks moment.] To this effect, I am going to try and quest to complete each shop in sets, and I'll have the current sets I'm questing displayed below. This is probably the quest in which I'll need the most help. Can you find it in your heart to assist me~? ;3 I don't mind - in fact, I'd love - receiving more than one of the same item, so if you have any items you don't want feel free to dump 'em all on me. ;] I've got a lot of poor mules to dress, you know!! And I'll happily take donations from any shop; this is just so I'm sort of organised. ;]

I'm always questing game items, because although so many of them are worthless, they're generally pretty easy to get and fun to have. Right now I'm after 500 of all inks, so they're in this section. Not using tektek's quest bars because lately those seem to be down. Of course, if you have any game items you'd like to get rid of or feel like donating - flowers, fish, trash (especially tin cans), tokens, tickets, even zOMG items - please do so. I assure you, they're going to a happy home. ^^

"WHO'S THAT FISH?" CONTEST:

Possibly the easiest competition of all time. I just recently filled my tank, and now I have a whole lot of fish without names. All you need to do is post and tell me what you think I should call a certain fish (and why, if you have a reason) and if I choose that name, you get 2k for the first fish you name, and another 1k for each fish you name after that. ;3 Too easy, right?

THE FISH:

LUCKY NUMBERS:

It's a lottery, plain and simple.Win a SEALED ENVELOPE or LETTER from the current month!!

Rules are simple – I have 5,000 tickets for sale. This number is standard to each Sealed; thus, if there are two up for grabs, there will be 10,000 tickets for sale. Each are 10g. The day before the Sealed becomes the Thank You Letter or when all the tickets for the Sealed are sold, I will generate a random number in the thread. The person who has bought the number I roll scores the Sealed. All right deal, yeah? Some months I may have more than one up for grabs, and for each prize, there will be one winner and one runner-up. So, the winner gets the Sealed Envelope, and each month the runner-up (one or more, depending – also decided by a random number) will get their choice of a Cash Shop item valued at 150 cash or under.

Conditions – please post at least once in this thread, and send the trade yourself with the right amount of money for the tickets you want. Also, I don’t really feel like going through and labelling each ticket separately, so I’d prefer if you bought in a batch, and I’ll just label each section. <3 If you’re only buying one ticket then you can choose, but that won’t get you a very good chance of winning, will it?

THE BUMP CONTESTS:

Also running is the standard lucky / serious bumper contest. If you bump 100 times, you get 2k, and each 200 bumps after that, you get another 2k. Alternatively, the second post on page 50, 100, 150, etc. will also get 2k. Your bumps must be numbered, and if you skip you forfeit the prize unless you edit / redo those bumps.

BOOTY GRAB CONTEST:

Everyone with a tank has a Booty Grabbing contest - or should - and so this contest is also in honour of my lovely new tank. This time, I’m asking you to take a screenshot of your booty grabbing scores. It doesn’t matter how large or small you score, just send me a screenshot of your score from my tank, and each week I will choose three of these using the random number generator, and each winner will receive 1k plus the amount they grabbed on top of it!! Easy, right? There’s one catch. Whether you PM or post the shot here, if the words ‘lookit the booty’ aren’t on that direct post / PM at all, I won’t look at yours.

So, why not. This part’s about me.

Tally is the usual name. larxith was the previous username, and s p a r k e d u p is a very recent change. Sparky or Sparks will also do. This was chosen because it is a line from a song by The Academy Is…, “sparked up // sparked up // like a book of matches”, and she loves it very much.

Tally is nineteen, doing a university course by correspondence, spent the last year in Japan, has a best friend called Fantastical-Disaster on Gaia and enjoys reading, writing, drawing, manga and music. She generally doesn’t like people IRL, though.

Current obsessions include X-Men, in particular Wolverine, Gambit and Rogue; music (because she'll never stop obsessing over that), super-pretty tekteks, and some art.
