The fact that you're surprised when the Wish Tree talks, despite OMGWTF, and some of the Gnomes also talking.

maybe because a tree by nature is suppose to be alove and un-anamate- able? and besides that wasthe first time paper spoke to you

speaking of what keeps books form animating and what it those wishes slips grabbed you and dragged you into their tree? woudl that hungry one really try to eat you like it wants to? or woudl you just get lotsa paper cuts..
Thing is, your character even says "You're the first animated to speak".

Buuut, what I'm confused about involves a picture. In the intro, if two characters were on at the same time, they were related. Like all the surfers, the ninjas, Bill's people....
But in this picture....

The person in the background is known, with his large body, tattered shirt, and crazy scarf. But how is the scarred guy related to our favorite evil dude?
confused

That thar be Blaze's evil twin brother.
But thats just my guess.

I think it might actually be Zhivago;

They look the same don't they? Right? Right. xD

I remember someone saying that it's Zhivago, but that still brings up the question of where the heck does he appear in game, and how is he connected >_>

Prolly Zivago lives in the House on the Hill in DMP? I remember Bill saying something abuot vampires coming in and stuff. That's why we needed garlic. And convenient to live across the farm over a trench on a haunted hill for a vampire.. But I don't remember what the vampire was doing in the farm. I have to replay zOMG on a mule...

Some explanations, and some teases. Enjoy.

* When Trixie says the rings turn "normal", she means that they become inert...like "normal" rings. But that's not really correct. So we've sent representatives to her to tell her that actually, it's just that the rings loose their bonding to your lifeforce while in the Null Chamber. They still operate as powered rings...but you can move them off your fingers.

* The "Shallow" part of "Shallow Sea" is relative. It's a continental shelf that extends a long way out from the coast, before dropping off *dramatically* into massively deep seas farther out. Hence..."Shallow Seas", by comparison.

* The "scarred guy" in the intro is foreshadowing of things to come.

* Your favorite evil dude has very good reasons for not using rings. Isn't it interesting that his use of the ring's energies and his knowledge of Animations is much more advanced than yours...and yet he didn't use the rings anyway?

* The Tiny Terrors are not human. They are Animated carvings come-to-life. The race that the Otami Twins come from are scattered tribes throughout the vast jungle that lies beyond the Otami Gate (currently closed).

* Predator Prairie Pups, Shockroaches, and Walkers are all aliens. They are not Animated.

* Nobody asked, but Landshark (affectionally dubbed "Bruce" wink is not Animated either.

* What keeps everything inanimate from Animating? Good question. There are clues scattered througout lots of the NPC dialogs in Chapter One, but very few definitive reasons explained for sure. The zone with the most hints about reasons is probably Zen Gardens, and perhaps in the Chapter One ending encounters, but there's lots to still find out about G'hi and the rings in upcoming Chapters.

* The Wish Tree isn't the "first animated to speak". It's (they're?) the first Animated to speak *a lot*! Plus, the notes on the tree (which is the part that is Animated...not the tree itself, which is natural), are new to being able to speak and they babble on about that for a bit, so that's perhaps where the confusion lies.

Yay! Foreshadowing!

...Suddenly, I feel like I should take off all my rings and lock them away if I want to be safe.

And lol@Bruce. I need to add that to my thread... -wanders off-

Now I'm scared. What have we done?! Are we going to turn into pumpkins as a side effect of using rings? eek

And I always thought Landshark's name was Toothy. That's what his plushie is named after all. The plushie came out of the zomg box thingys.

Since Qix mentioned the "Foreshadowing Character" in the scarred fellow I've been wondering who and will these play major roles in the upcoming chapters too?

That's the first time I've been able to see all of those people without the movie rushing past them. I knew that was Zhi in the intro, but I wasn't sure. And I've actually been able to pick out other characters this time than every other time I've watched the intro. ^^

When the next Chapters are released, will the opening movie be changed and have added Characters and added scenes? Or will there be different opening movies for different chapters? Or will the opening movie never change? KarlZubi Mule account

If it weren't for the eyepatch and the lack of a beard, I'd say that's Marshall.
