The air was crisp, a fresh layer of snow had fallen over the meadow landscape overnight. Oh yes, winter was here again, though in this place the snow never completely melted in the heat of summer. Stars were beginning to burst forth from the clear darkening sky. From the blue forest ran a stone path that had been shoveled earlier that morning. A figure emerged from the forest, traveling down that very path.

The figure was strange in appearance, though it hindered him not. It seemed to be a human male from the waist up and wearing a long white labcoat. His hair was blonde and reached his midback, pulled into a ponytail so as to not get in the way of his yellow eyes. The strange thing about him was his lower half was that of a goat with gold fur with a rat tail and his long ears. The hauntingly silent evening was filled with the rythmic clop clop clop of cloven hooves as they struck the stone.

He seemed cautious, his eyes darting here and there across the horizon, searching for signs of danger. All seemed clear tonight. Lucky for him. He breathed a sigh of relief as he neared a large concrete facility that had a sort of above ground tunnel made of safety glass leading to an even larger circular building, the walls made of thick concrete and the roof a dome made of some kind of clear material that held up extremely well against the fierce weather and creatures that inhabited the area. It wasn't long before he reached the steel doors of the facility. He didn't need to read the sign to know what it said. "Welcome countrymen to the Unified Scientific Solutions Reclamation." The beast said in his gravely voice and British accent as he unlocked the doors and stepped inside. "Where we take science one step further."

The Unified Scientific Solutions Reclamation, an organization with humble beginnings that had the intentions of merely breeding animals that would help make the townspeople's live easier. Living in Ican wasn't easy, the conditions in winter almost made the land uninhabitable, though the spring and summer seasons were rather enjoyable. Most of the time.

It was only months after the founding of the USSR, with it's brilliantly eccentric(albeit poor) scientists, when the Ican military heard of their goal. Intrigued they sent a man down with a proposition: If the military gave them the money and facilities, they would develop creatures the military could use for either war or for simple services. The founder of the USSR, Cameron Dio Tamaki, accepted the offer. In almost no time at all the Ican military built the facility, with a dome to keep their successful projects in until the military came to retrieve them.

Cameron proved to be the most skilled and knowledgeable scientist. As a trial to see if the scientists could do as they were asked the military needed them to develop an animal that was strong enough to pull the carts of the townspeople and that can be used as mounts for individuals, like a horse. But they also wanted them to be flight capable. Thus the Parreferro came to be, proving to be a valuable asset to the farm town of Deorsa.

Not long after the success of the Parreferro came the Umbra Nox, a large bat creature created for mainly surveillance and anything needing stealth. After the Umbra Nox came the Mordshunger, a terrifying species looking like large emaciated wolves. Their appetites were voracious and had violent tendencies, but that's what made them the perfect attack and guard dogs, though to keep one as a guard dog meant months of extensive training.

However, not every project that is created is kept in the facility. For every successful project there was one Prof. Tamaki deemed unfit to be given to the military, and not seeing any reason to keep an unfit project around he would order them to be tossed into the wild forest of Edur.

Naturally the projects tossed aside developed a deep seated loathing for anything to do with the USSR, and especially Prof. Tamaki. He was their no. 1 enemy.

The scientists didn't think much of the projects that were tossed aside, which they began to call Edur Projects, or EPs. They were more focused on the Royalty Projects, or RPs, which were the projects they kept in the dome. The RPs were projects that had either been chosen to be sold to the military, the townspeople, or to be kept as breeding stock or for other general uses the USSR required. The RPs know nothing, or have very little, knowledge of what goes on outside of the dome.

The EPs know what dwells in the dome, the Parreferro and Umbra Nox are often seen flying over it and looking in, hating and envying the Royalty Projects for living in such a wonderful place. Even though the Edur Projects don't always get along with each other, they all share a common hatred for anything relating to the USSR and have, on few occasions, let it be known that they aren't afraid of taking the lives of scientists that stray too far from the facility.


Prof. Tamaki paid no attention to the deaths of his subordinates or the hostility of the Edur Projects towards the USSR, until he was one day ambushed by a Mordshunger on his way to the facility. It resulted in the mutilation of the lower half of his body. Lucky for him the attack happened in close proximity to the facility and he was saved by a guard and his Parreferro. They were unable to capture the Mordshunger responsible.

Fearing that if Prof. Tamaki was allowed to die the scientists did their best to keep him alive. Unfortunately, a few scientists let their jealousy of Prof. Tamaki's high importance keep them from giving him a proper appearance. For their lack of better creativity, and for their own selfish giggles, they had given Prof. Tamaki a make-over of their own. The legs of a goat, hooves and all, and a goat's ears. A rat's tail. A faun's horns. Of course, however, this was no joke to laugh off for Prof. Tamaki. The few scientists who were involved in this absurd experiment were fired and banned from coming near the lab for as long as it still stands. To this day, Prof. Tamaki became more and more avoidant of his acquaintances; from the social world. Keeping himself locked up in his lab at all hours of the day, rarely does he step a foot, or in his case, a hoof outside.

Now there is tighter security around the facility, and Prof. Tamaki has devoted himself not only to making the finest creatures one can scientifically manufacture, but to killing the Mordshunger responsible for the loss of his lower half. At the same time the hatred of the Edur Projects grow, forcing tighter and tighter security until one day...who knows what will happen?

Q: What IS USSR?
A: Unified Scientific Solutions Reclamation.

Q: May I get a pet for free?
A: YES, but they will only be given away in Games or quests.

Q: How much ar flatsale pets?
A: Test tube stage is 6k, baby 5k, mid 4k, adult 3k.

Q: How long does it take for the pets to grow?
A: A week(7 days) for stage one to two. Two and a half weeks(approx. 18 days) to stage two to three. Four weeks(21 days) from stage three to four.

Q:Can they breed?
A: Of course! Breeding is nature.

Q: Can they crossbreed?
A: No, I am still developing that technology. (But, it will be coming soon!)

Q: Do you have to be an active roleplayer?
A: No, but it's greatly encouraged. An active roleplayer will earn you better 'things'.

3. Nice, helpful critiques please. No harsh critiques, but may be in depth. Suggestions, questions, but no spam.
4. No chatspeak. (Be literate!)
5. DO NOT BEG FOR A PROJECT. If you bug the colorists or other owners for one of their projects or a project from a breeding you WILL BE GRAYLISTED.
6. If something happens between two or more projects that doesn't end well, do not take it personally. Not all the projects will get along with each other and this does not reflect how the owner feels about you.
7. Do not lie to the staff. It's just not smart.
8. Staff word is law.
9. Do not pester colorists about growings! We have lives off of the computer (except for V-chan) and can't be on all the time, as much as we'd like to.

User Image - Test Tube - If bought directly from the lab, the owner would be given a test tube with a living, growing organism inside. No care is needed in this stage. The tube is made perfectly for the embryo.

User Image - Eggs - The egg stage is only available through breeding. It is the same as the test tube stage, yet more fragile than the stainless, steel case.

User Image - Parreffero - (Pear-ef-air-oh) A friendly, tame species of bird with lizard-like parts mostly found near it's muzzle and legs, fully covered in scales. It's prehensile tail can easily grab onto any object to carry around with it. Though, they may not be as great in flying as the Umbra Nox is, they are experts in running. Their speeds can reach up to cheetah-speed with strong leg muscles. They are usually used as mounts, like horses, for pulling objects and for transportation. As well as pleasure, to ride around the vast country side, where ever that may be.

User Image - Umbra Nox - (Um-brah Nox) A neutral bat species which have learned to walk on two legs like a normal human. They can be a violent species at times (when angered), but are mostly laid back and tend to spend most of their time hanging in the dense, snow covered trees. Their kind ranges in all kinds of sizes; smallest recorded is tea-cup and the largest that has been recorded is 5'3. The Umbra Nox is created for the stealth. They can last up to 10-hours straight in the air, that's much longer than the Parreffero's air-time.

User Image - Mordshunger - (Moor-ds-Hoong-ar) The most dangerous wolf species. You don't want to mess with a Mordshunger, for they are the violent amongst the rest. They refuse to share their food and mainly live along instead of packs. One Mordshunger could easily tear up another one of it's species when disrupted, even if they are acquaintances or even siblings. Their sharp claws could easily tear up the bark of a thick tree. Though, this species can be the perfect bodyguard and attack dog when tended to correctly by an owner; who ever would dare to own one.

"I suspect some of this may be a bit confusing for some of you. Let me explain how things work around here, give you a little help in understanding."

Location: An enchanted forest called Edur in the country of Ican. The snow falls in winter and autumn, but it never melts completely so there is snow year round, even in the hot temperatures of summer and spring. The colors of the tree leaves and the grass are not the usual greens, but instead shades of blues and purples.

USSR: Where the projects are 'born'. Prof. Tamaki and the other scientists work, and in some cases very nearly live, in the facility.
The Dome: This is where the favored projects reside. Projects living in the dome are what the scientists consider 'the best of the best'. Inside, the dome is like a terrarium. It is large with different sections where each species resides. It isn't always tame in the dome, some of the projects don't get along with each other, but it's nothing like the ferocity of the projects that live outside.
Edur: It may look beautiful but it is an inhospitable place for any creature to live. There's snow year round, even when the temperature reaches 90 degrees and above. Projects that have been deemed unfit to be sold are thrown into the forest to fend for themselves. Naturally, each species has learned to adapt to the strange environment in their own ways and have formed their own social orders.
Liskrai: A normal lake. It freezes in winter, gets dangerously cold in autumn, and is nice and cool during spring and summer. It's large enough for the residents of Deorsa to play in without fear of the Edur Projects, though just to be safe they bring their own Projects along anyways.
Juris: The only hotspring for miles around. Residents of Deorsa go there on occassion but are wary of the Edur Projects roaming the forest across the lake, often taking a project of their own for protection when they feel the need to warm up during the autumn and winter months.
Deorsa: A country town in Ican. The inhabitants of Deorsa are mostly farmers, other occupations being carpenters, ironsmiths, pub owners and anything that isn't dependent on modern day technology. The most advanced thing they would have is a land line.


Project Society

Each species has their own social order.

Parreferro:
The Parreferro travel in packs like raptors, with a matriarch as the pack leader. They have an established pecking order and anyone that steps out of line will either get the boot or be punished.

Umbra Nox:
The Umbra Nox live in family clans. A clan will start when two Umbra Nox mate, and from there the family grows when the offspring take mates. It isn't uncommon to have family clans merging into one large clan, but it isn't uncommon for either the female or the male to join their mate's clan and leave theirs behind. This can cause problems sometimes, and rivalries between clans will pop up.

Mordshunger:
The Mordshunger are one of the most violent species, they can barely get along with each other let alone anyone else. Too unstable to live in packs, they are a rogue species. Some will travel with their mates or form small family groups, but that's about it.

Interaction

Should any of the three species meet there are some very good possibilities that they will either fight or join alliances. The Parreferro and Umbra Nox are likely to get along well enough and form alliances, coming to each others aid if ever need be. When a Mordshunger is involved there will almost undoubtedly be a fight, though there are times when intelligent Mordshunger join forces; for what purpose varies from situation to situation.

The Edur projects all share a hatred for the USSR and the Royalty Projects. If any of them were to come across a wandering scientist the only thought going through their minds would more than likely be TORTURE, KILL, SLAUGHTER, MAIM. Or, if in the case of a Parreferro or Umbra Nox, they would take the scientist back to their pack or clan to be rewarded however the leader deems fit and the fate of the scientist would be decided there, it never ends well though.

8. There will be 5 minutes of silence before each flat, meaning no one may post after I say 'Five minutes of silence please.' You still must wait for my 'GO' post, any posts submitted before the go post will not be counted, though you may post again.

9. If the project you posted one form for has already been claimed by another user you may try again for a project that has yet to be claimed.

Auction:
Auctions, pretty simple really. One or more projects will be put up for auction for X amount of time, highest bidder wins. It doesn't even have to be an already existing pet even. Should we decide to we could auction off a custom slot for special pets, maybe even an entirely new pet for the winner!

Auction rules:
- Bid only what you have!
- Unless stated otherwise only pure gold bids may be accepted. Colorists need gold too.
- YOU CAN NOT RETRACT YOUR BIDS. If you do you will be graylisted.
- For every auction there will be a 30-minute snipeguard to prevent...well, snipers.
- Do not make people feel like they cannot bid. This means don't constantly flaunt how much gold you have, keep that for actual bidding, and don't make people feel bad for outbidding you, so don't throw fits or you will be graylisted.
