Alright, the reason half of you greedy sons of batches of cookies are here: contests. They're almost constantly changing and hardly ever boring, so it'd be in your best interest to read about them.

Ongoing contests:

1) Avatar.

Since Drachelle and I are constantly questing for different stuff, it would be nice to find a way to use it. Of course, we can't always be brilliantly creative with our avatars, so that's where you come in. In this contest, all we ask of you is to make us each a dream avatar including what we're currently questing for. We'll tip for the ones we like; the amount entirely depends on how much we like it, think we'll use it, or get ideas from it.

Please click this base to begin your avatar. As you can see, eyes and hair are missing; what to use is entirely up to you. Just keep the skin tone the same unless you're using an item to change it.


There's no price limit, but I don't like expensive stuff tacked on there just 'cause.
Some combination of matching, layering, texture, and theme must be used.
I can't stand avatars that look like everything else out there and contain no originality.

2) Page number.

Starting on page 100, we'll begin giving out gold to the first poster on every page in increments of 100. The first poster on page 100 will get 100 gold, the first poster on page 200 will get 200 gold, etc etc. It may not be much now, but that gives you all the more incentive to help us get our thread to 1,000,000 pages and beyond!

3) Bumping

Although Drachelle and I definitely prefer chatting to bumping, we appreciate anything that keeps our thread on the front page. This is why we'll be giving out prizes to bumping experts. If you bump 500 times, we'll reward you with 5k gold. Not to mention all the gold you'll get by yourself from posting that much, you lucky little thing. Please number your bumps in order, and send a PM including the page number your final bump was on to either Drachelle or Sarcastic Remark when you're finished.

Seasonal/special contests:

1) Anti-Sob Story.

Most have us have probably had one of those "hi im new giv me gold plz my pet monkey just died of cancer" moments in our Gaia life. You know, when you're just enjoying the site, minding your own business, and a beggar gets all up in your p e r s o n a l s p a c e z o n e. Well, Drachelle and I have no sympathy for the lazy who would rather beg for their stuff than get off their pixelated butts and earn it themselves. Although it can be entertaining, we'd get greater amusement out of people doing the opposite: telling us why they don't deserve a donation. Honesty wins us over more than any sob story ever could, and this is very good news for you.

We want to donate to someone who doesn't get what they want by lying. What you have to do to get us to donate to you is tell us exactly why you don't deserve gold/stuff. Maybe you're very rich already, maybe you steal lollipops from little children, maybe you just don't really want anything all that much. Either way, tell us about it for a chance to get a donation. We'll be handpicking the best anti-sob stories and rewarding people for their honesty by handing out some cold hard gold to the most convincing tales. The best testimonial at the end of [DATE HERE] will receive 5k.
