Please read all of the rules!

General Rules

- DLF rules all. Break these rules and she will be down your neck >3

- You may not steal the art/concept/tag, etc. This includes stealing anyone else's Daeka and calling it yours. If you want to borrow anything at all from this shop, you'd best ask me to make sure first. If you dont ask, you run the risk of being grey/blacklisted. Non-employee coloring of Daeka without permission is also considered art theft. Don't tell me you didn't know, because I take stealing very seriously--ignorance is not an excuse.

- Claiming that you made these will get you booted down to the blacklist. This includes editing the images, tracing them and claiming you drew it, etc.

- No flaming, arguing, etc. This is a happy happy thread =D If you have a problem with someone, take it to PMs.

- Show some etiquette! You know what that means. Don't advertise your shop (or anyone else's) in this thread, be rude in general, or do anything else that you know you probably shouldn't be doing.

- Don't stretch the page! No one likes to scroll really far over just to read people's posts, so no page-stretchers, please!

- Limit your quotes! Please don't create quote monsters by quoting a ton of posts. A couple is fine; 10 is unnecessary. Also, please snip the images from large photo dumps, such as growth or hatching posts.

- Don't PM DLF with something like: "how much 4 one of ur pets?" or "can i plz hav a deaka plz, I relly want 1" or otherwise beg for Daeka. Don't ask me a question already answered on this page. Read the FAQ!

- Send all trades to Daeka unless stated otherwise.

- No cheating/lying. You should know this already. You cannot spread false rumors, tell sob stories in order to get what you want, guilt trip others, or most obviously lie about anything.

- You may not resell or give away your Daeka once you have bought it. If you decide that you don't want it any more, you can sell it back to the shop for the flatsale price.

- Basically, use your common sense and you should be fine! None of the rules are anything really new, and I don't expect anyone will have problems following them^^

RPing or hanging around the thread helps your Daeka to grow faster^^ Growth periods listed are estimates for those who are active in the thread-those who are inactive may grow slower.

Pillow
Ahhh... the beginning of life... don't look at me like that! I didn't turn them into pillows, I promise. So then what's this doing here? Well, someone who shall remain anonymous has managed to stuff all of the Daeka eggs into pillows sweatdrop It keeps them warm, and you get a nice pillow to sleep on to boot!
Stage lasts ~1 week.

Kit
Your newborn Daeka! Kits are usually very sleepy the first couple of days. As they grow older, they open their eyes and become usually more annoying active and playful!
Stage lasts ~1-2 weeks.

Adolescent
WOAHOMGWTF. Seems that they've gone through a (major) growth spurt or something =O Most adolescents develop their personality around this time... don't be fooled by their seemingly innocent looks! Sometimes they are quite devious ._.;
Stage lasts ~2-3 weeks.

Adult
Finally! You say.
But no-wait! Adults can be just as bad as the adolescents! xp sucks for you, doesn't it?
Stage lasts FOREVER!

Flatsales

Rules

- All General Rules apply.

-Flatsales will start when we post saying so. Not necessarily by the time set.

-Flatsale Price: 6k

- There will be a 5 minute period of silence before the flatsale begins. Please don't post during that time =)

- Wait for the signal to post. Wait until Daeka or designated staff posts "Go!" or something to that extent, which signals the start of the flatsale. Any posts before this will be ignored.

- If you jump the gun, you will be disqualified from the flatsale. This only applies to the first person who posts before the "go" post.

- Post which pillow number you would like.

- One claim per post. No second, third, etc. choices.

- You can not edit your post under ANY circumstance. You'll have to post a second time with a different pillow request.

- Don't go for one if you do not have the funds.

- You may only win one pillow. In the event that you win more than one, you receive the one that was claimed first (even if it was claimed for you by a friend).

- You may buy a pillow for someone else. However, if you proxy for someone else, then you are not allowed to go for one for yourself.

- Co-owning is allowed. (maximum of 2 owners)

- No complaining or whining, especially if you lose.

RPing and stopping by the thread is not required, but is certainly encouraged =3 People who RP, of course, get benefits, such as being able to breed their Daeka if they want. DLF also luffs active people greatly heart

RPing Rules

- No god-modding.

- You may not control the actions of a pet that is not yours.

- No spam please! Try to keep all RPing posts over a line.

- No monster quotes please. A couple quotes are okay; twenty quotes are not necessary :3

- Try to use good grammer and spelling. Your posts don't have to be perfect, but try not to use l337 speak ^^;

FYI

- A single Daeka: pronounced Day-kah.

- The plural of Daeka is Daeka: pronounced Dye-kah. The plural is not Daekas.

- Daeka can not speak the human language, but rather emit barks and growls, etc. :3

- Daeka have a little trouble understanding humans, but they seem able to understand each other perfectly fine.

- If the bond between a human and Daeka is close, then the two have an easier time understanding each other.

So your Daeka would like to start a family of their own? First, there are a couple of things you might want to keep in mind...

Status

If slots are open, please post this form in the thread! You must have a valid couple to obtain a slot (you aren't allowed to reserve a spot for later) :3

Simple Form

Owners:
Daeka Names/Images:
Colorist:

Rules/Info

- Breeding costs 6k from each owner. Why? Because you are guaranteed at least 2 Daeka from the breeding, and flatsale price is 6k :3

- Send all trades to the specified colorist.

- You may not reserve breeding spots before they are open to the public.

- Only opposite gender pairs may breed.

- Your Daeka must be an adult to breed.

- Both owners must be active in the thread to breed their Daeka. RP is a bonus, but not necessary. I reserve the right to reject breeding requests if I feel that you are not active enough in the thread. Rule temporarily suspended.

- You must have permission from both parties in order to breed.

- Daeka tend to be life-mates, but you may choose otherwise. However, Daeka who are not life-mates tend to be much less likely to produce more than 2 babies.

- Usually, 2 babies are born. It is, however, possible to get lucky and up to 4 may be born.

- An individual Daeka can breed no more than once every two months.

- An individual Daeka can breed no more than 3 times in his or her lifetime.

Distribution of Pillows

You can choose to do any of the following with your pillows you get from the breeding:

- Keep a maximum of 1 per breeding per owner.

- Give them away to friends. (A maximum of 2 can co-own.)

- Hold a contest.

- Hold a free raffle.

- You may NOT sell it for a profit. Anyone caught bribing or accepting a bribe will be blacklisted from this shop.

FAQ

Q: OMG!!!!1!ELEVEN1ONEONE! HOW DO I GET ONE?
A: You can get one from buying one in a flatsale, winning a raffle, or an auction. There is also the possibility of obtaining one from winning any random events, pet trades, etc.

Q: So then when'll there be a sale? And what about customs?
A: Check the news section at the top of the page! If I have any sales planned or if I'm doing customs at the time, I'll tell you there. Also read thread posts =) If there isn't anything about a sale listed on the front page, title, or in the thread, then I probably don't know when the next one will be. So don't ask ^^; There may be random unscheduled sales also.

Q: How much do these cost?
A: Flatsale Daeka will probably cost around 6k :3

Q: My Daeka pillow has squiggly marks by it/it's done something odd! What's happening?
A: Your Daeka is ready to hatch! x3 Come to the thread in order for your baby to come out =D

Q: Can you notify me whenever you next have a contest/raffle/auction/sale?
A: No, unfortunately, we have no mailing list at the moment and separately mailing everyone would simply take too much time. If you want one, you'll just have to keep an eye out for the next sale, just like everyone else wink

Q: scream So then... why did that person get one without a sale?
A: It could have been a pet trade, bribe, or in any case, I have the right to give out Daeka to anyone I want. That does NOT mean you should kiss up to me just to get one--it won't work 8D I also reserve the right to not sell you a Daeka if I see fit.

Q: Can I reserve one? I won't be here during the sale!
A: No, sorry. You can however, have someone else snatch a pillow for you.

Q: Can I get one by bribing you?
A: Surely! Well... only if you can bribe me with a deal I can't turn down xd Keep in mind that this is not the same as buying a Daeka. You are skipping all the hurdles, so this may be more pricy than waiting and buying one along with everyone else.

Q: What if I don't have any gold? Are you doing pet trades?
A: Check the pet trades post to see if I am currently taking pet trades. If so, send me a PM with details^^ Don't get upset if I refuse you though, I'm very busy, and therefor picky x_x;;; Keep in mind that if I refuse you now, it may just be that I do not have the time, and I might come back later and take you up on your offer^^ Also, I really do prefer non-RP intensive pets, so if the pet does require RPing, I'd be much more inclined if you made an exception sweatdrop If you are not the shopkeeper of the pet you are trying to trade, make sure you have the shopkeeper's permission.

Q: What kind of pets do you like?
A: All sorts =O I have a particular fetish for foxes and horses, and things with silver-fox markings ninja

Q: Will you donate to me?
A: As much as I'd like to give gold to everyone I come across, I'm saving up for my own quest^^; If I wanted to donate to you, I'll do it on my own accord. It also makes no sense for me to donate to you if I don't even know you/you are a complete stranger. Please don't ask me this >:

Q: Do these pets require RPing?
A: Nope. DLF doesn't like RP intensive pets and understands that other people may not have the time to RP either. Of course, she does love people who stop by or RP heart

Q: Can we directly link our image?
A: Of course^^ I don't care whether you direct link, or if you save the image and host it yourself. If you're hosting it yourself, be sure to check back to see if it grew =3 However, note that this is subject to change.

Q: Will you donate a pet to *insert event here*?
A: Ah, sorry, but the Daeka are not participating in any events right now. If I decide to join any, I will contact the coordinator of the event myself =)

Q: Why didn't you reply to my PM?

Q: Do you accept lineart/shading template commissions?

Can’t seem to nab a pet from the events? Or perhaps you’re just looking to create that special daeka that you’ve had in mind for a while now? Then customs are for you, my friend! ;D

500k: Adult stage only
750k: Adolescent and Adult stages
900k: All stages

- You can choose your colorist! If you have a specific colorist that you must have, feel free to note it in the Misc. Comments section in the custom form. Otherwise, I’ll go by whoever is best suited for the job ^_^ (Colorists include Dark Lunar Fox, Ameh, Illuseon, Kiwi Squirt Bottle, and Teh Angel Yuna.) Be forewarned though, that sometimes the colorist that you want might not be available ^^;

- Customs are accepted at the discretion of the colorist. If a colorist doesn’t feel up to the custom you requested, they may turn it down. If you think your custom may be too difficult or whatnot, feel free to add a tip—or keep your colorist options wide? xD

- Payment will be taken in the form of either items or gold. Store items will be taken at sellback price, whereas any other items will be accepted at their tektek.org price (unless there is a major case of artificial inflation). But in most cases, you won’t have to worry about that ^_^ If you have any doubts, feel free to ask questions!

- Lineart edits are currently not available.

Pet trades are currently CLOSED.

Interested in a pet trade? Perhaps we can work something out! However, I am very, very picky when it comes to pet trades because often, I simply do not have the extra time to do them. If I do not respond to a request after a few days, I am probably not interested at the time. It is always possible that I may come back at a later date and ask for a pet trade =)

Note: if your pet is RP intensive or requires activity in the thread, I would greatly appreciate it if you made an exception in my case. I am usually very busy and simply would not have the time to make such a commitment.

If your pet is listed here, I am willing to do a pet trade regardless of whether or not pet trades are open.
