Introduction

Welcome to ‘The Grunny Lottery’. This is my first ever lottery – just thought I’d mention that. It was created in order to help with my quests – for more details, visit my profile. If you have any questions (after reading all my posts on the front page), feel free to PM me.

I am selling tickets at 100 gold each. When buying tickets, please label the trade(s) “The Grunny Lottery” or I will just assume it is a donation as I receive quite a few trades usually. All tickets bought will be given out in consecutive order. Once I see fit (most likely when activity decreases), I will generate a random number and the owner of the winning ticket shall receive a Grunny!

NOTE: I deleted all my Inbox PMs by accident. If you recruited members for the contest, please send your list(s) again. Sorry about this.

NOTE: I am away for about 3 weeks starting tomorrow (8th July). During my absence, I request that all trades get sent to AB - Lottery (my temporary mule account). All questions are to be directed to there as well. Zelos Peace will be handling that account and is in charge of this lottery until I return. Please do as she says. I want to see everything just as perfect as it is now when I am back. Also, if page 250 is reached while I am gone, the prize for the 'Page Contest' will be awarded after my return. Take care of yourselves, everyone.

NOTE: Most contests have now closed. If anyone wishes to start a new contest, I am sorry to say that I will not be accepting. The reason is because this lottery will soon be ending. It has lasted long enough and I have made more than a profit. The closing date for the lottery is Friday 22nd August 2008. All trades MUST be completed by this date. The draw will take place on Saturday 23rd August 2008. The 'Bumpers Contest' will end then too. Please make sure your correct username is listed in the 'Slots' post. All users who haved purchased tickets will receive a PM from me after the lottery is over. Thank you to everyone. Without you, this would not have been possible.

FAQ

Q: When is the ending time for the lottery?
A: Hopefully in a few months. Depends on activity.

Q: How many slots are there?
A: There are no specific amount of slots. Once activity drops or a few months pass by, the lottery ends.

Q: How many tickets/slots can I buy?
A: As many or as little as you wish.

Q: I have problems sending gold over trades. Do you accept items?
A: Generally, yes - if I trust you. PM me to make sure though.

Q: Are the mini contests for lottery ticket holders only or are they open to everyone?
A: They are open to everyone. You do not have buy tickets to take part in them.

Q: How many bumps do you need to win the 'Bumpers Contest'?
A: The winner will be the person with the most numbered bumps at the end of the lottery.

Q: How do I know this isn't a scam?
A: I would not put my account here at risk under any circumstance. Most importantly, I do not wish to ever lose anybody's trust. However, it is of course your choice whether or not to buy tickets.

Q: When will the draw be? Do we get informed by a PM?
A: I am planning to end this lottery by the end of August 2008. You will get a trade if you win something. I have not yet decided if I will PM all ticket holders after this has finished, but it seems likely.

What a cool idea AB. biggrin

I will buy some tickets if I can get my trade thing to work. I have had some problems in the past putting gold into a trade, I have no problem with items, just gold.
