Between Heaven and Hell is a no-man’s land that no God claims and yet all Gods rule to some extent. There is Good and Evil, always fighting for complete dominance and yet remain balanced out in their eternal game of tug-o-war. None are seen and yet all are heard and felt to one extreme or another. While there are Gods happy to go about their lives quietly, others have gone as far to create subjects to rule over, feeling their reign isn’t complete unless they have someone to subject their authority over and to call them omnipotent.

It is not always the latter who are the ones to be feared the most.

They…however…are not your concern at the moment.

None of them are.....

.....At least not yet.

Behind the scenes goes on fiercer and more cunning battles that mortals cannot view, and yet is played out in their very lives every day. They are the pawns the Gods use, each creature has it’s own place on the chess board of life. The question is, though…what part will YOU play?

5 -23-08 -- MAJOR UPDATE!

Seems at least I’ve started to get the shop off the ground, but I’ve also come to discover I got way too much on my plate to run it alone, so I’ve set up a hiring thread here.

Two days ago I have since re-hired one of the old colorists for the shop (Jezabelle Kissntell) and also a shop/RP manager (Ms. Muffet aka Cyn or Kat)…wootness! So excited to have them on board ^.^ Hoping to get a few more colorist applications before I decide further on more staff, but seems lately I’m about as alone in there as I am in here. >.< Still..I refuse to give up on a cute shop that I’ve put so many hours of work into! *shakes fist*

Also…been working on the guild, cleaning out the old stuffs, and Jez and Cyn are helping get some things going and the rest of the prices/shop put into order, so hoping to get all that done (at least enough to make things look awesome) soon. ^.^ Link to guild has been added to the first post so feel free to join whether or not you got a pet here yet or not, we’d be glad to have you! Right now it’s majorly under construction, but hopefully we’ll get it all ready for you guys soon heart

Flatsale on Monday! Introducing a brand new species of lineart, I’ll have previews up for it either tonight or tomorrow morning of the precolored sets I won, and 20 will be sold (15 eggs and 5 adults) so there’s plenty for everyone! Come on in and bring your friends! Wee! Let’s party!
4-17-08 -- Well, it's official this shop finally has it's first completed line set now, and things are looking good! Hope to have a FS going the beginging of next week (maybe Tuesday?), a more specific date to be announced soon as I know my schedule for sure!! Raiu-chan promised to talk to Hanafly and see if she'd be willing to do angelic and demonic versions of this cutie since I auto'd the lines...but that might be awhile. She's pretty busy, but for now? I'm happy to wait awhile <3
4-5-08 -- Got all the banners up, and so the shop is starting to really take shape..I'm so exicted! Still got quite a ways to go till it's perfect, but as all owners know, that could be many years from now. Still, looks to be on a good start...
4-4-08 – Old lineart from shop is going to be completely redone in time soon as I get the money (and/or gold) to do so. I’ve contacted Chobi_Chocobo and her friend Zsabrina to do it eventually, though I’ve not given them the full details yet, I do hope to be able to soon. (And also hope they’ll still agree to do it…they are a bit busy right now, and with my lack of gold/money at the moment, we’re at a stand-still *nod*) The old lineart, once redone, will form the basis for the Gods mentioned in the mini-intro above, but until then will remain behind the scenes. Seeing as how the old shop didn’t really sell any pets, this works nicely xd Until then, I have some cute/not so cute guys running around the land for everyone to play with (or get mauled by…) One set should be done soon, I have 3 more species that will be coming in about a month, and waiting to find out on the end of another auction. Will keep you guys updated as I get the info <33

1.) Follow and obey the Gaian TOS (sad that it must be mentioned so often….)
2.) Lunar Mirage (aka Mira) – her word is law. That’s it, end of story.
3.) READ THE WHOLE FIRST PAGE BEFORE YOU ASK A QUESTION. If you ask something that’s already there, I will refer you back here. Simple as that.
4.) Play nice. Any drama will be call for immediate greylisting, and a second offense will be blacklisted. I will not tolerate undo drama without EXTREMELY good cause in my shop. I am already very stressed out. Do NOT make it worse. You do NOT want to find out how mean I can be…
5.) Do NOT ask if I’m hiring…if I am, I will let you know in a post below, and perhaps in the title.
6.) No stealing the lineart. The artists have worked hard on these creations and I will not tolerate anyone stealing them/altering them for their own use without paying for them. Owners can crop the pet’s pictures to use as part of their signature, but no altering/creating a new pet with an old one. If you want me to clarify this, then just ask.
7.) I retain the right to alter/add more rules as needed.

Can I get one for free?
That really depends on my mood and how often you hang out here. I may get in a giving mood and give some out….right now, the likelihood is low as I’m trying to get the gold to get the original lineart completely revamped…kinda hard to pay for something if you get nothing in return. >.< Sides, like my business professors might say, “A business is in the business of making money.” Still…ya never know. ^.^

But..but…(fill in the blank) got one! *whinemoancomplain*
Any whining and you will be greylisted…just because so and so got one doesn’t mean I give them away to just anyone, and never to anyone who complains or moans that “poor me doesn’t have a pet here…” Well, too bad.

Ok…How CAN I get a pet here?
Best way is flatsales, auctions, events, etc. Just keep an eye out for them, I plan to do them often.

You mentioned Gods/Goddesses in the updates above…where can I get one?
Right now Gods/Godesses are NOT available but I do plan to get them soon as I have enough gold/money to pay for the original lineart to be redone. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and loved!

How come my pet hasn’t grown?
Remember that all colorists have lives outside of Gaia even if we wish we didn’t! We will try to do them all in a timely manner, but please do inform us if your pet hasn’t grown in 2 months by PMing the mule with the pet’s image and who colored it (if I ever hire more than one colorist….right now will be mainly me, Mira) If, however, the mule hasn’t contacted you back, and/or you see the PM wasn’t read yet, please poke at me (Mira) and I’ll see what I can do.

What does 'Ciel Et Enfer' mean exactly?
It's french, and means 'Heaven and Hell'. Yes, I'm smart. *preen*...*shot*

The first of the creatures made to serve the Gods has finally stepped forth upon the land...the small Volchi!

Volchi's are quick and cunning, which they must be due to their small size (about the size of small terriers), but never underestimate them. They also have a vain streak about themselves, knowing they were the first to step paws upon this world and so they tend to claim it as their own. They have very close family ties, and maternal and paternal bonds are quite strong. They tend to nest in small dens, and in the hollows of trees, occasionally a home can be found under a dense thorn bush, but those are rare.

Eggs - lasts about a week - Congrats, your volchi has been laid! Now is a very precarious time for it as predators abound (namely those who don't like volchi's high and mighty attitude...which, sadly, is most everyone)

Cracked Egg - lasts about 2 days to a week - *le gasp!* Your volchi is about to hatch! Better keep a very close eye on it...

Baby - lasts between 2-4 weeks - Congradulations! It finally hatched and now you got a cute cuddly baby to take care of! Be careful, they're quite curious at this stage and love to ask alot of annoying questions...not to mention they'll eat you out of house and home. *nodnod*

Adult - Aww, your baby is all grown up...*tear* Now they're able to find mates, love, what-have-you!

The Kosuken were the next to emerge, formed of the marsh gasses of the primitive planet. At first they were merely fiery blobs, used by the God Icani to lure traveling and curious volchi’s to the swamps were they’d drown. Inevitably, he got bored very quickly and gave life to those fiery orbs, molding them to their present day form, similar to a fox.

As a race, the Kosuken are mysterious and keep to themselves with strong family ties, and have no real control over fire, it is merely a part of them. They can, however lower and increase the temperature as needed when meeting other creatures unlike themselves, or repelling predators…and annoying Volchi. They cannot leave marshlands for long, as it is the methane gas that forms from the rotting vegetation in the water that gives them their life and keeps their own fires strong. If they are separated from their home for long, their fire eventually weakens and if it were to go out, they would die. It has been noted (by Volchi’s who’ve tried this) that water has no effect on them one way or another.

Kosuken's are about the size of large housecats, slightly larger than a Volchi, but not by a wide margin.

Angelic and Demonics - A lucky Kosuken can attain this stage either by breeding, or by potions, and rarely one might be lucky to see one show up without a home or family of it's own. (meaning, you can find them in a flatsale, but they are more expensive and naturally rare). These are the mystics, having more control over their chosen elements, whether it be something like earth, water or light and darkness. Angelics, naturally, are more the healing types though not always is that so. Demonics, as a group, tend to specialize in the darker arts...though there too have been exceptions. These are also more able to travel, as their magic allows them to survive outside the marshes, but still if a long enough time passes, they will also become weak without a "recharge" of sorts.

Egg: - lasts about a week – A very vulnerable time for your Kosuken and require extra time and attention since it is rather easy to snuff out it’s fire… Keep watch!

Baby: - lasts about 2-3 weeks - You’re egg has…hatched? Not really, more like it’s molding process has begun. At this stage, a Kosuken can float about a half foot off the ground at most, and look like little floating fox-ish lights. Their “tail” can elongate a little to facilitate in holding objects. They’re very curious and have a strong tendency to get into dicey situations as most kids do…Watch your little one carefully, Mom and Dad! They also have very little aptitude for controlling their fire at this point.

Adult: Finally the molding process is complete and your Kosuken is finally full grown, and able to mate. They have lost the ability to float now, but are agile climbers and swimmers. Congratulations! Now…don’t wander too far from home! D8

Rules

1.) Breedings prices vary and must be sent as one trade to the mule

Non-lifemated: 15k (7.5k per owner) Results in 2-3 eggs
Lifemated: 12K (6k each per owner) Results in 2-6 eggs
(Prices for Gods and such to be determined later)

Note: In the case of lifemated same-sex couples, they will not need a third party to donate as this is a result of their union of souls to each other. However, those not life-mated WILL have to have a third doner party to be able to participate.

If in such a case as the last appears (as in a breeding of three non-lifemated kosuken), but I roll and the result is 2 eggs, then the owners will have to either
a.) co-own one of them (Owner A gets Egg 1 while Owners B and C co-own Egg 2)
b.) one owner give up an egg entirely (Owner A gets Egg 1, Owner B gets Egg 2 and Owner 3 goes without)
c.) OR....I can be bribed for a third egg. PM me for details about that.

2.) Please post both parent's names and URLs to their certed images when requesting a slot. Or in the case of a raffle, post the form given in that thread. (mostly will be doing that as to make it more fair for everyone to get a slot)

3.) Both parents must be of adult age to breed.

4.) Eggs may be kept or given away via free raffle or RP contest, they cannot be sold. If we find you sold an egg, you will be blacklisted with no questions asked, and your egg put up for adoption via raffle or auction by the staff.

5.) I have a right to decline your breeding request if you never/barely stop into the main thread. We are not a baby mill for your own personal use to increase your hoard. If I feel that this is the case, then I do reserve the right to say no.

6.) Do NOT RP the breeding.
