Welcome to Gaia! ::

As this is a fairly young charity quest thread, I've decided to make the rules simple and easy for all those who want to get a donation.

Step #1: Fill up the form below. You only need to do this once.

Post the finished form in the thread. This will be bump 0. Your bumps will not count without this post.

Step #2: Bump 150 times. Please number your bumps. Once you've finished your 150 bumps, please send me a PM and I'll include you into the list of active players for the month. (Note: You also get 1 PIP for doing this, see below)

Step #3: At the last Friday of each month, I will randomly select three people from the list (using Excel). They will get the following prizes (number and magnitude of prize may change over time):

2nd runner-up: 5,000 gold (or an equivalent item)
1st runner-up: 15,000 gold (or an equivalent item)
Grand winner for the month: 30,000 gold (or an equivalent item)
Special prizes may and will be given to those who are active and are nice as well.

Step #4: After the drawing, the active players list is cleared. Repeat Step #2 and #3.

Donations/prizes in this thread, apart from direct grants, will follow the PIPs reward system.

I decided upon this system as to allow for the greatest flexibility and choice for people who hang around and chat in this thread.

Please read details below. Thanks so much.

[ How does it work? ]

Claim an item!

You can claim ANY ITEM being sold in the Marketplace. Conversion rate from PIPs to items will be 1 PIP = 1000 item gold equivalent rounded to the nearest thousand. For example, an item being sold in the Marketplace for 10.4k gold would require 10 PIPs but if the the item is being sold for 10.5k gold, it would require 11 PIPs. No minimum conversion requirement!

Claim cash!

You can claim the Gaia gold equivalent for your PIPs. Conversion rate from PIPs to gold will be 1 PIP = 900 gold. For example, you can trade in 5 PIPs for 4,500 gaia gold! No minimum conversion requirement!

[ How to get pips? ]

There are multiple ways you can earn Pips from this thread.

#1 Bumping: For every 150 numbered bumps, you get 1 pip.
Please PM me with the page number where you reach 150 bumps.

#2 RNG: Use the RNG for 1 to 1000. If you get any of the 15 numbers below, you win!
111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, 888, 999 = 2 pips
9, 13, 86 = 5 pips // 1, 1000 = 10 pips // 913 = 20 pips
Please PM me with the page number where you got the RNG number.

#3 Special events / contests: Pips can be given out through special events or contests.

[ Pip tally as December 23, 2010 ]

Note: You can claim your prize at any time but please note that since I'm busier now with work, it may take a while before I can get back to you. Rest assured that you will get it though.

Lexicon Doll's Hangout - A Gift-Giving Thread
What is it?: This is a thread for those who love to give and receive.
Why put it here?: For sentimental reasons. Most of my old Gaia friends came from this thread. Those were good times.
My Comments?: Most of the regulars are not as active anymore. Drop by once in a while if you'd like. If you're lucky, there might one or two of us there. biggrin

What is it?: Relatively new gifting thread.
Why put it here?: To give it a chance to live long and prosper.
My Comments?: Fairly young, requires some time to get into the proper groove.
