I'd have to get a defined muse in order to personify it. He comes and goes so often I don't think I've ever actually met him
xd
And, for Thorn's (and everyone elses) reading pleasure, Aila's write-up. I've shrinked the size so it isn't too long, sorry I've no other way of hosting it. And uh, please excuse any typing errors >_>;; I blame the sickness. But uh, this is literally everything I have on the poor girl

Name: Aila Povortra
Race: Human (?)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Age: 22
Height : 5’5”
Weight : 150lbs
Eye Color : Emerald Green
Hair Color: Black/Mid-back, usually loose or in a single braid.
Physical Description: Aila’s tall, well-built, and reasonably attractive. If she were to actually dress up and do her hair, she’d be drop dead gorgeous. Too bad she doesn’t care about that really. She has soft eyes and long lashes and full lips. She tends to wear a simple short-sleeved red dress with dark green embroidery around the collar and skirt bottom. Around her waist is a simple worn brown leather belt with several pouches, this she uses for her job. A simple black cloak thrown over all of that.
Personality : Aila’s a pretty easy-going girl. She enjoys a good time with her friends and family. She’s not very loud or boisterous but she will stand up for what she feels is right. Or tell you to shove off if you’re just plan annoying. She has no idea what she wants to do with her life. She is willing to try different things within reason.
Background: She grew up in one of the more liberal provinces and so received schooling until she was fifteen, at which time her father’s work moved them to another, more conservative, area. She was still able to receive tutoring at home, but that was incredibly boring. Two years later she gave up schoolwork altogether and her parents stopped trying to force her. She spent her time puttering around the house and the town center, not doing much of anything with herself. When she turned 20 she decided it was time to try and get a job. However not many wanted to hire a woman, at least nto the interesting places. She finally got a job delivering potions for a potion-maker that lived on the outskirts of town.
Idiosyncrasies – She smelly people. Hates old people, they give her the creeps. She doesn’t like it when people think she’s naïve, even though she is, especially about the rest of the world. She doesn’t like doing “girly” things (even though she’s secretly a die-hard mushy romance freak. Loves the happy endings and the tall dark and mysterious ones). And she can’t cook worth a damn.
Writing Snippit:
"Excuse me Madame Hurlin, I was wondering if I could have a moment of your time."
"A moment of my time? That's a moment I haven't got to give you know." The middle-aged woman bustled through her small kitchen from one counter to another. Retrieving unlabeled bottles and spices from cabinet shelves, opening them, sniffing them, making a face and adding it to her pot. Which would then smoke, bubble and then simmer down to the same putrid green color it had been for the past ten minutes.
"I, I can see that," stammered the younger woman. "But you see, my little sister is quite sick and I need you to--"
"Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick! Everybody's sick nowadays! Tell her to stay in bed, drink a lot of hot water and she'll get better. Where is that damn bottle?!" Hurlin went around the table in the center, her long and tattered grey skirt trailing behind her. She ran her hand up across her forehead and down the back of her head to smooth down the unruly grey and white hairs.
"I fear this may be something more serious than a mere sickness. You know I wouldn't come to you if it weren't dire. I think--"
"Foolish woman, has it ever occurred to you that there may be more at stake in the world than some brat? Much is happening right now, much is happening, and you want me to make potions for a fever? Be gone, tell your mother to do her job better!" Hurlin rummaged through a small cabinet beneath one of the counters and squealed as she stood up again holding yet another unmarked bottle. There was a brown liquid inside with a thin layer of grey on top. She grinned and made her way back to the pot.
"I can't believe you would--"
"You can spend the entire walk home believing, begone!"
Obviously insulted and aggravated, the young woman stomped out of the kitchen, straight down the hall and swung open the front door, which she slammed shut.
As the door closed, the kitchen returned to its dark and dreary atmosphere. The wind from the door sent a few top layers of dust into the air and made the candle flicker. "Foolish woman," Hurlin muttered to herself.
About half an hour later, the front door opened again and another young woman came in. She wore a black hooded cloak, thin black gloves and high black boots. Her cloak swayed open slightly as she walked; making visible the simple red dress she wore underneath. As she entered the kitchen area she noticed Hurlin mixing a pot on the stove; her back to her. "You're late," Hurlin mumbled.
"I apologize, I got caught up."
"That isn't my problem; you need to be here on time. Lucky for you that old man has no sense of time and won't notice if you're late. It's almost ready, don't get comfortable."
The woman sat in a small chair by the doorway, "If it's only just now ready, then my tardiness doesn't really matter much does it?"
Hurlin turned to face the woman and waved a dripping spoon at her, "Don't smart at me child."
"Was only a question," she replied with a shrug.
"Humph, give me that pouch there," Hurlin pointed a shaking, boney finger towards the table. "Come on Aila I haven't got all damn day!"
Sighing, Aila stood and grabbed the leather pouch. She opened it and looked inside as she went to Hurlin. Who snatched it away as soon as she was in arm's reach. Aila watched as Hurlin dipped a cup into the bubbling pot and filled it half way. She then poured the contents into the pouch.
"I'm not carrying that!" Aila said with disdain.
"You will and you will do it in silence," replied Hurlin as she filled the cup half-way twice more and poured it into the pouch. "A cup and a half ought to do it."
"A cup and a half of what?" asked Aila as she eyed the pouch cautiously.
"Doesn't matter. Just take this to Savak. And tell him--"
"You really want me to carry that? In my hands?"
"Listen you insolent insect, your job is to deliver my potions to my customers without question. Unless you would care to re-discuss your payment?"
Aila shook her head, "No, no that's fine. Speaking of which...?"
Hurlin waved her hand dismissively as she rummaged through a drawer. Retrieving five large silver coins she handed them to Aila, “Now you listen to me child, you tell Savak, he can use this,” she held up the pouch, “to coat his hands in order to transfer what he needs.”
“Coat hands, transfer, okay.”
Hurlin raised a brow but continued, “By the time you get to him some of it would have soaked into the insides of the pouch, so it will hold it with no problem.”
Paying very little attention to Hurlin’s words and grimacing and she took the pouch AIla replied, “Soaked insides, will hold stuff, got it.”
With a frustrated sigh Hurlin waved her hands over head, “Go! You aggravate me! Go before it gets dark out.”
"Gladly. And, why have you paid me twice as much?"
"Because after this trip you will be in the employment of Savak,” Hurlin said casually, turning back to her pot.
"What?! You can't barter me away!"
"Think what you will child. But you will see you don't have much of a choice in the matter as you are the only one who will be able to hold the pouch. As well as what it will soon contain.”
"What the hell are you talking about?” Aila shouted, letting her anger get the best of her.
“Have you ever watched a fire dance?” Hurlin asked with a tilt of her head.
Aila straightened as a memory from her childhood flashed through her mind, “What is that supposed to mean?”
Hurlin smiled wide, revealing several missing teeth and even more black ones.
Aila shook her head, “You’re mad.” She tied the pouch to her dress belt, muttering how “wrong” and “mad” Hurlin was, then quickly left.
