In a world not so different from ours, a land were magic and gods have taken over rather than technology, a people not much unlike our own live out their mortal lives in the regular day to day rigmoral of Human existance. There is always talk of war, famine, peace, love, progression, disaster; just as we experience ourselves. The only difference is, these people are doomed by their own creators and not themselves.

Not too long ago, the Council of Greater Gods deemed the Human race to be unfit for their world. The Humans had begun to favour progression and science over religon and worship--forsaking the higher beings and at the same time destroying the earth of which they had cultivated. The Gods chose three of their own; Aevah and Ozara, two goddesses of creation and destruction, to annihilate the Humans, and Sojo, a young God to act as the advisor and scribe to the new race of Earth.

Drunk in the power bestowed on her, Ozara was only too happy to please her superiors and created a race of Demons that sustained themselves by eating the life force, or Dust, of the Humans, slowly killing them off as they lived amongst them in the more populated regions of Earth. Despite the orders, Aevah did not see eye to eye with the Council, finding that there was still infinite hope for the humans, the goddess . Thus she set a plan in motion to save them. Aevah used her power to create a new life called 'Life Dust' to act as the guides and guardians of the Humans who faced unknowing impending doom. From this new experiment, the first Dust was born, Aren.

The High Council saw this and were deeply amused at the 'war' that these two goddesses were waging. And so they sent their messenger, Sojo, to inform the two that the Council will not interfere with them and that their fight would prove to them who the more superior Goddess was--and the one who won would hold the fate of the humans in their own hands.

Ozara's minions were born from negative energy, death and feeding off of the darkness that brought them undeniable power. Yet Aevahs dusts were creations of intricate essences of life, the creations possessing what could be their biggest strengths or their downfall. Emotions.

Because her creations possessing a complex sense of life and growth unlike the demons of Ozara who merely fight and kill to live, Aevah could not take care of all her dusts. And so she scattered them around the cities in the world, to which the bottles would only reveal themselves to those worthy.

And so, it is now up to the Humans to unknowingly save themselves from destruction by raising the young Dusts to full maturity. Can Humanity really be saved?

Information on requirements for growths can be found here.

Stage One: Dust Stage
In this stage, the goddess' power is newly placed in the bottle with the Dust.
The soul of the Dust-child is still forming inside the bottle.
Little flashes and sparks may be seen from time to time.

User Image
Stage Two: Dust Spin
At this time, the bottle is showing signs of strange movement and can
bring about some troublesome occurrences. This stage means that if
you give more of your time with the bottle, the faster it will grow. Usually
to make it move to the next stage, a specific objective must be met -
normally involving the bottle to come into contact with the object that the
Dust is attuned to.

User Image
Stage Three: Born (Child)
You triggered the soul and this is the result. Children may be
a handful and they come in all shapes and sizes; everyone is different,
just like human children. Powers at this stage are still rather undeveloped
as the dust within them still hasn't fully settled, it isn't advised for young
dusts to confront demons because of this.

User Image
Stage Four: Form (Teenager)
Because of your interaction with the new life, he/she has grown into a
teenager! A sudden growth spurt is apparent here. The dust child's power
at this stage is settling down and is more stable. Because of this, this new
life can train and fight. Dust may be set missions at this point and could be
asked to confront and fight demons.

User Image
Stage Five: Mature (Adult)
The dust and it's element are finally fully combined within him/her. Now they
have matured into a full grown adult. By this point your Dust has most likely
mastered their powers and has become a formidable foe for the demons.

Stage Five: Exal

General World Information :: World City Information

What is DUST?
In reference to a couple of novels, Dust is the foundation of life. Dust may also be referred to as essence.

What is an acceptable DUST?
Dusts are tangible examples of nature and occurences found therein: there are no man-made essences in a Dust. The most common variants are as follows: mythical basis (King's Blood, Mermaid's Scale, Werewolf's Mane); nature (Dew, Citrus, Rust); creatures (Black Cat, King Cobra); and aspects of the world (Color, Time, Twilight).

But THIS Dust--
This shop is under different ownership than the first four years it was handled. BP, the founder of the shop, has the last say on what does and does not qualify as a Dust.

What is the SETTING?
Life Dust is set on a world much like ours, but in an alternate, fantasy setting. Electricty exists, but is generally reserved for those who are rich and can afford it. The most popular means of transportation is the train; failing that, there are horse-drawn carriages. Present-day entertainment does not exist; Life Dust takes place in a time that's pre-industrial revolution. You can find a list of items and methods that exist here.

How do I get one?
Set up a quest in the quest forum and get it approved. Shortly thereafter, your Dust will be delivered. Easy peasy!

lololol!!111!1 i //@n+ 0n3 plzz?
This is an RP-required shop; short-hand and '133t' are not acceptable.

How many Dust can I own?
Three total. You cannot get your second Dust until your child requirements for your first Dust are finished - unless you're super active in the shop. We do enjoy rewarding activity.

Can I co-own?
No.

The Triad

Aevah
The goddess of creation. She is who takes the essences of natural, living things and transforms them into the new life she calls "dusts".

Ozara
The goddess of destruction. From death she takes the ashes and conjures dark creatures that feed off of the life force of others.

Sojo
The messenger and adviser of the High Council. He is mainly the observer of events, the one to deliver the messages of the High Council to other Gods and demi-gods alike.
