Announcement
As I am certain a great many of you have noticed that the activity here in this shop has died almost completely. While I apologize for the lack of activity I can't apologize for not being around as much. Gaia has lost much of its luster for me; between the constant buggy changes and the push for IRL items and less than stellar donation items. I have also become stagnant where my art and colouring is concerned and it just isn't as
fun as it used to be. I've been on an impromptu hiatus because of this.
Fun. Gaia and what I do here is supposed to be fun and now that it's not I'm finding it very hard to want to continue to do anything. This is partly because of the things that happened between myself and Cypress causing the split in the shop. It was then that the shop became less fun and more of a burden. The last commission for the lines from Leelakin also went less than smoothly as I had to argue to really get the changes and her reaction really played on my social anxiety and now I'm having trouble even wanting to work with these lines. As I said; this just isn't fun for me any more. A great many of the things regarding this shop were Cypress's to begin with and now every time I work on something it's like rubbing salt into a wound.
I have ideas for other shops, other things I'd like to do, but I feel guilty since I feel like I am abandoning this shop entirely. This just isn't something I want to do on a constant basis. This leads me into the next part of the announcement.
Changes
*New Co-Owners; Lady Aria Starstone and Dragon Phage are the new co-owners; both have EQUAL power since both have paid for part of the lines Phage before with donations and Aria now (who isn't being charged the donations I received). They will be working together on overhauling the shop and keeping the friendly environment that I've worked so hard to foster here.
*Dragon Phage & Lady Aria Starstone – they will be overhauling and creating a more complete shop based on what they are wanting and looking for so be on the lookout for some rule changes ect.
*Cyzzane; remaining owner for the next 9 months ( March through November) and helping with the transition process for Aria. I will remain a colourist on staff for guest colourist and part time breedings/customs at this time only.
*Daimyn, has chose to leave as a colourist for many of the same reasons I myself have listed. Right now it's just not as fun for her as it used to be so she opted to not remain on staff at this time.
For Further changes at this point please be on the lookout for Aria and Phage's announcement where they will explain what they have in mind for the future of the shop. To reiterate, I am not leaving 100% but I am likely to be very slow at this point in time when working on whimsies stuff. I will be sticking around after the fact to participate in new events, breedings, and RP with owners and friends. Just because I no longer want to be in charge doesn't mean I am leaving 100%.
Wrap Up
I am hoping that this transition goes smoothly and that everyone will remain on board for the changes that are taking place. I can't promise much of anything right now I but I certainly hope that this shop will do well and that the people that I love that have made this shop a wonderful place will be sticking around to keep it that way. At some point I may be opening up some limited edition grab bag type customs; for both gaia gold and IRL monies. So please keep an eye on my customs thread in the guild as these slots will NOT be announced in thread because they will be taken on only when I feel like I can get them done in a 24 hour turn around time. In addition I am going to be starting to take some gaia art commissions and $5 and $10 sketch commissions for original art, please PM me if you're interested in those.
