The Idea // __________________________________
Hello fellow Gaians some of you may know me but I'll introduce mysef all the same. I am Rvaya. I am an artist here on Gaia and I have been here over 2 years. I have entered dozens of art contests on Gaia but I've always had a hard time remembering when they end and getting my entries done on time. Well the other day I missed out on entering a ton of contests and it really made me frustrated. Thus dawned my idea for this art contest listing.

The Purpose // __________________________________
Here I will be keeping the listing as update as possible to make it easier for you to find exactly what you need. This is going to help the artists keep on top of deadlines and not loose the contests and for the art contest host who always wants to interest the most people as they can.

The Execution // __________________________________
How is this gonna work you might ask. Well I'll try to explain it as simply as I can. Since this is new I will be going through and trying to list these myself. I know I won't get them all so that's where you come in. If you find a contest that isn't listed use the form below and post in here so I can keep this as up to date as possible. But if for some reason you are running a contest and would not like to be listed please let me know because I will just be posting these at random.

Those Behind the Scenes

Rvaya came up with the idea and tried to run it on her own for several months. Once it became clear she couldn't do it that way anymore she moved everything over here and found a few very responsible people who will help her maintain the Art Contest Listing for all you Gaians.

Neobakekeko, or just plain Neo, has been interested in the art world since a child. Though she hasn't taken part in digital painting until recently, this past year. Entering contests left and right! Well she squealed with joy when she came across the ACL and is even more excited to now be one of the (wo)men behind the mask wink To help you out though, when using Art, she will always sign with "~Neo".

A Few Rules and Guidelines

1. STOP QUOTING THE FIRST PAGE/POST. Seriously, it's not cool, it stretches the thread and the page for no reason at all. I understand that this has been a bit of a ghost thread for a while but I'm back and hopefully better than ever. So let's grow up a bit.

2. Likewise, DO NOT ASK FOR GOLD. C'mon guys, I shouldn't have to say this.

3. DO NOT ASK IF YOU CAN ENTER. I don't know. This isn't a contest, this is a LIST of contests. Click the link and go to the contest and read their rules and guidelines.

4. STOP POSTING RANDOM EMOTES. Emote abuse is a serious problem in our society, don't make light of it. Every fourteen seconds an emote is abused. Don't spread the hate.

5. REPORT BUTTON! If any of points 1 - 4 are broken, I will ask you to delete your post and move on. If you persist in spamming, I will report you. The only posts that I should see are posts asking to add a contest, asking to edit certain facts about a contest or saying 'thank you' for adding your contest.
