One day a great storm blew across the land. For many days it didn’t stop raining, floods ripped at the earth forming many new valleys, new rives, new land. Creatures that had lived for countless centuries died out, from the depth of the water rose creatures that were only thought of. When the storm finally blew out almost months later the once lush earth was buried in water, and owned by creatures that ate everything they seen. The endless ocean stretched inland for many, many miles, that was till it met a ring of mountains. In this ring of mountains lay a valley, completely untouched. Guarded from what lie on the other side of the rocks. Many creatures lived here still, deer, birds, felines, canines scattered tribes of people even. Only one thing showed that the storm had ever came was a river that flowed through the middle of the valley, broken off from the ocean and swelling up thro the ground filtered and cleaned. This water rushed over a powerful cliff crashing below into a large lake. Next to the lake rested a clutch of eggs, guarded by one of the few creatures to live here. One that was born of the storm, but neither good nor bad, its fate unsure.

1. Dont steal any art you may find in this shop! It's against the TOS and will get you blacklisted.
2. Listen to what the shop owners say. These rules may change suddenly or without notice and order may be retained by you listening to them.
3. Do not fight in this thread! Take it to PM's if you have issues with one another. If it get's to out of hand and I have to PM the fighters both will be gray listed for a period of time.
4. Do not harrass other owners in any way, shape, or form. If proof is provided and received with a complaint, you will be grey or black listed, pending on how bad your behavior was.
5. Do not lie to us.
6. Never ask for a free Leopold unless you are willing to work hard for it. We do not see the need to give out free Leopolds, but alot of the colorists likes to reward activism and mass amounts of rp.

What are Leopolds?
Leopolds are one winged creatures that resemble a lion. Leopolds roam this valley and are typically friendly, you will however cross some evil ones. You get to choose your leopolds personality.

How much do each Leopold cost?
Each leopold cost 3.5k.

Are you looking for more colorist of staff?
We will be glad to look at your work, but We doubt We will be hiring anymore people unless We really need the help, thanks though.

Are these rp required?
These pets are not required to be rped; HOWEVER, The pace in which your pet grows depends HIGHLY on your activity in the thread and the guild (when we get one).

This is a warning: If you simply buy a pet and disappear, it may take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months... Maybe even longer. Growth time is dependent of activity, but no pet will ever go through all stages faster than 2 weeks.

Alys was like most children, calm and wild, protective of her ways. But she hated the way the mountains were a way to keep her here. A way to lock her away, there was more out there she just knew it. Yes she had heard the stories of the people that crossed those mountains, the endless memorials for them all. But there was nothing to say she was going to get that way to it wasn’t her fate. Often or not Alys traveled away from her people farther and farther to the side of the mountains. That was the day she found the Leopolds….

Alys was tired of her way of life, and packing what she felt she needed into her bag she set out at dawn. What her plans were fully she didn’t know, she didn’t care she was getting away and that was enough. Crossing the Soki River she was quickly beyond the sight of her village and no longer worried about being caught. Climbing the side of the mountain she was shocked that she was able to see everything. She looked over the mountains and there glittered the ocean as calm and neat as if it was just painted on. “I can do this” she said boldly then climbed to the other side and made her way down.

Suddenly with a rush rocks started falling all above her crashing on her head driving her down…..

Alys blinked several hours later her head telling her she was in a lot of pain. She looked over her body and happy nothing was broken stood up, she had crashed at the bottom at least, what was she expecting to go up the mountain. Waves lapped onto the shore that was littered with shells and seaweed, the soft breeze blew her hair back. With a sudden gust of wind it rushed the other way knocking her to her knees. Grumbling she stood back up brushing sand from her cloths then only did she finally look back at the ocean. But no longer was she alone…………..

The creature that stood before her was unlike anything she had seen before, its clawed feet were webbed its tail carried a large fin, even with its small size of about half her height, it showed no fear of her instead roared out bearing sharp needle like teeth. She didn’t scream there was no one that could hear her anyway, stepping back she inched towards the mountain side, back towards safety.
Shockley it was over much before it started, the large cat jumped over her head to land with a thud on the creatures head. Its powerful forelegs and hind legs ripping the scales they grabbed. The creature only tried to fight back for a few seconds before realizing that its dinner was well lost and ran back to the water with the cat close behind. Only when the monster was gone even its wake long past did the cat turn and face the girl. He walked over to her fluttering the wing till it lay just right on his back, he looked up at her with golden eyes. He stood maybe a tad over half her height, his large paws shifting the sand only slightly as he walked over it.
“this is not a very safe location to play in.” oh god it could talk, Alys almost wanted to do as she had seen the other village girls do and faint to make the problem go away, but even if she did she didn’t think it would, and that creature might come back.

“Ummm…. I… You can talk?” the cat chuckled looking at her with a grin.

“I can do a lot of things.”

“But what are you?” she looked at him more closely, he might have looked like a lion, or some large cat, except for the wing that grew from his back.

Smiling the cat got up, “I am a Leopold.”

Alys and Dath made it slowly back to the village, how was she going to tell her people about this, more so what were they going to do. But with the help of the leopolds they could fight those creatures have fish from the ocean even set sail to find more lands.
With her village finally in sight she stopped, “well here goes.”

Egg Stage (Stage 1) = about 1 week

Laid in a nest of a few this egg is in no way defenseless, hard shell and deadly spikes ward off bigger predators as for the smaller well that’s the parents job. Eggs are normally not to big ranging from a foot to a foot and a half.

Winged Egg Stage (Stage 2) = about 1 week- Week 2

Either the egg broke letting lose the wing of the creature inside or totally formed its own not much is know about that. The wing may look developed but it’s unable to fly though dangerously it has the odds to roll the egg this way and that.

Fluff ball (Stage 3) = about 1 week - Week 3

Finally the egg has shattered to show an odd creature. Its wing and tail are just about fully developed and it’s just starting to learn speech. Given the weight of its body it can often almost bounce on air currents making them hard to keep track of some times.

Adult (Stage 4) = week 3 reached full adulthood - Forever?

Finally the growing period is over standing about half the height of a normal human they have free speech abilities. Though there body is too heavy to fly, and the fact that there is only one wing, they may often glide a short period making their gallop a lot faster.

Leopolds often diet on what ever they find, meats, fruits, nuts, eggs things along that line.

Elders (Dragon Leopolds) (Stage 5) = Means of gain rp

The elder Leopolds one of the few final evolutions of the Leopold, are only gain able by means of rp or special auction or sale, or major bribe.

Featherwings and Normalwings have fully developed two wings capable of total flight. Leopolds cursed or blessed with no wings. Wingless elders are often faster and swifter on ground then the winged relatives.

But the Dragon Leopolds bear magic none the less and some are able to do pretty nice things with theirs, calling fire, ice, lighting, and many more elemental powers to them in dire need, making them very dangerous.

Raccoon - Small furry Raccoon smart and tricky he will be likely to get into the most trouble of the familiars. Like the leopolds he has free speech able to communicate freely with both humans and leopolds and other familiars.

Drake - A small winged drake the only familiar able to use mind speech to communicate with both humans and leopolds.

Sparrow - A small bird fastest of the familiars they do not have full speech ablitiys but may learn words from their leopold masters or humans some to the point of a full conversation.

Eggs laid are between 2-5 and the number and gender is decided by dice.

Colorist Breeding information may vary so make sure to read there in guild thread. And to claim a breeding please also post there.

Trade is to be sent to the mule "Lisimba Valley"

Limits:

A leopold has to reach adult stage before it can breed (a given)
A adult that breeds can not breed again till the eggs laid for the first have grown to adult.

There is no breeding limit

Its up to you what you do with the eggs but if nothing is done for over a week or so well just claim them back. (you do not make a profit off the eggs)
