5/7/08 - Minor Update - Entry Fee Increase - PRIZE INCREASE! - General first page updates.
I am increasing the entry fee to 150g, but this isn't a horrible thing, because it means I'm also increasing the prize amount and will be giving out MORE gold for bumpers and higher amount for page claimage. I have also tweaked the rules a bit and added the "quick" how to enter section at the top. Please read through the first four posts to see all the changes. And don't forget to start putting together your outfits for the Superhero & Villain contest!
5/7/08 - Next Contest - Superhero & Villain (2 outfits)
This next contest had the most votes but will also be a little more challenging. There will be two outfits/avatars needing to be saved for each contestant: one superhero outfit and their nemesis, the villan. If you want to name your superheroes and villains, you can and I will put it under the avatars on the voting page. You may copy existing superheroes and villains, but I would highly encourage everyone to be creative and make up their own. It's funnier that way anyway!

8/31/07 - Personal Update -I'm Back!!!
No, I didn't die or forget about the thread. Basically, I had 2 issues going on in my life. One was that I needed to get some "real life" crap taken care of, which involved minimizing internet usage. The other was that my computer crapped out on me. I was unable to access this site from work anymore, and therefore, between working 2 jobs, I pretty much had no time to hunt down a library and use their internet for 15 minutes, let alone not having any of the saved images. I do have all the old data from my computer on this new one (yay for nerdy boyfriends!), and I still have the list of those for the last contest which never happened. I will be offering those people either their money back, or the option to put it forth for the next contest (suggestions!!!)
Also, I'll be looking back to see who helped keep this thread going and rewarding where necessary.
Any and all information to get me back on track for what's been going on in gaialand the last 6 months would be much appreciated!!!
I missed you all, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but trust me, I'm one million times better now!!! It was worth it.
3/28/07 - Personal Update - TEMPORARY HIATUS
So here's the deal. There's been a lot of s**t going on in my life right now, and I've been trying to keep myself off the internet as much as possible due to the frustration and stress it brings me at times. I am also moving this week, and therefore my time online has been limited due to that also. In any case, the contest is on hold until I get my ducks back in a row - in all aspects of my life. This is just temporary, no worries. I hope everyone understands. Life is unpredictable. Nonetheless, feel free to stick around and chat, keep the thread at least partially alive so it isn't a ghost town when I get back. Much appreciated, and see you in a few.

I now have 2 jobs: My day job M-F 7:30 to 4:30 PST and my evening job F-M, so my online time is now much more limited. I can come on at my day job on occasion but not often. Therefore, please be respectful of if I can't get to everything on as timely a manner anymore. I'll do my best, but no guarantees. Bumpers are also much appreciated to keep the thread alive! Thanks!

Wow, someone made a banner for their sig for the contest! I wasn't expecting that to happen. I'm flattered! But it may make it seem like the contest is less fair..so I took things into consideration and will be disallowing personally made banners, but will be making banners for contestants to buy. First change is that I am questing again, so the next contest will be back to 100g for me to put towards the quest. The second change is that the bumping and page claim prizes amounts have been decreased, because it's just too hard to quest when I'm forking out that much gold on a regular basis.
