Hello everybody! Knil Chan is and forever will be the creator of Panda Box. However, due to real life priorities, she has handed over the shop to Faforechao, her younger sister in real life.

I, Faforechao, aim to keep the Panda Box community going. I will be handling affairs with the help of the regular PBers.

Let me keep this brief. This store sells pixelated pandas that hatch from eggs, and they live in very civilized environments.

Hello PB.
I know I haven't been around at all, and that's entirely my fault. School was quite busy, and now during the summer, I'm not even sure what I'm doing anymore. There's a lot going on, Knilly's shipping off to college soon, and all that jazz.
But that being said.
PB is temporarily on some kind of break right now. There won't be any kind of events until I get things figured out.
What things? Aside from figuring out a way to more effectively manage this shop, I've been inspired by Gaia's item normalization project [Don't know what that is? Check out the Announcement or DARKNRGY's journal entry.]
I'm planning on re-doing the system for the way the graphics and 'boxes themselves are managed to make it easier for the graphic artists, the users, and of course, for myself.
What I hadn't realized was how much of the old stuff was lost when Knil's old laptop went down.
And I've been digging through all the files I have without much success at finding them.
Lily and I also have some trouble with keeping each other in check with who's updating which boxes, which boxes are already updated, and all that stuff.
So, if you're TL;DR -ing this:
Panda Box is currently temporarily on a hiatus until I figure out a way to systematically manage this shop better.
Feel free to post any questions/suggestions you may have. I'll be checking on this thread every so often.

Hello everyone. I know it's been a rather long time. Really, really long time.
I feel like I'm always making excuses, but I guess I'd rather just be straight up than make false promises and the like.
But for serial, Knil and I have both been extremely caught up with school and family things. As I type this, I'm in Knil's room because my room is currently being used as a guest room, and there's a fascism essay waiting for me...
I'm about to go update some affiliate links. PandaLily has been doing awesome with what she's been doing. Sadly, I'm still on a hunt to find older files for updates. It's been unsuccessful.
There probably isn't going to be an event for a while. Maybe once finals are over [that would be the end of June for me], I can get back into this shop.
Sorry about all this, really. I'll try to get stuff done as soon as reasonably possible.
Oh, and yes, Knil is going to college. Isn't that exciting?

There will be a flatsale today at 4 PM EST. Finally, I know right? Funny how the latest Gaia set goes right along with it. XD
There will be four available eggs. What are they? Well... And yes, the four winners will get to pick. Who wins? The first four (properly filled out!) flatsale forms posted in this thread after I say go. (:
As for what else is planned, I can't say... because I don't know. XD For now, after this flat, I wanna finish cleaning up this thread and get some PBs updated. Something along those lines.
Oh, and there's a chance it won't start right away. I have an essay to write today, and I'm feelin' five or six pages on this sucka.

Let's keep this announcement brief. Yes, I'm busy. Yes, I've been inactive. No, you cannot order pandas right now. Yes, you will be able to eventually. No, I don't know when. Please, stop PMing this account about their availability.
As of right now, I have very little free time. I might try to do some kind of holiday/New Year event, but I dunno. [Fruits Basket zodiac for the new year? Random holiday things? Who knows?]
I want to clean the thread a bit, and I'll make time for that once I get the chance. Housing orders should open up too [but limited], but once again, scheduling is redunk.
Like the title says, it's "chill out time." RP or throw around event ideas or just post. (:

Hey guys, it's been a while. O: I hope you all have been well. (:
I've been pretty busy with just enough free time to sleep, eat, and breathe. The next couple of weeks aren't gonna give me much free time either. I've got a bunch of school/friend/personal things and I'm livin' in America [at the end of the millennia~] so there's Thanksgiving. My 16th is coming up as well as auditions/rehearsals for my school's spring musical then there's Christmas and the New Year! Wow, where did 2007 go?
Right now, I'm awaiting orders from the winners of the semi-custom RP contest from Halloween. Yeah, that took a while. I'm going to try to see if I can find time for some kind of holiday event before 2008 rolls around, but trying to get my permit might get in the way... Haha, just kidding. I'll try to see if it's possible but no promises. I also want to open a couple of slots for housing orders, because those haven't been done in forever. Oh, and if an event's gonna happen, I want your input and ideas. If you've got any, post 'em! I wanna know what you PBers want. Flatsales? Auctions? Something? Hit the thread up~

I've been lurking during my free time [the little that I have]. School's been crazy for me, but I do want a Halloween event. It won't be too big judging by my schedule irl.
The three auction'd End of Summer pandas are completed [See the last post on page 1195 if you lose them or just wanna see.] I'm still not sure what's going to happen to the fourth PB. I'm thinking I'll throw it into the next auction that's held. That's later in life though, still concentrating on whatever's happening for the Halloween event. I still am going to re-do the furniture section eventually. Orders are not yet open, sorry to say.
As for all you people wondering how Knil Chan is doing, she's currently balancing college apps with Mario Strikers Charged and the five thousand things she's involved in with school. She also has a car, which is excellent news for the both of us.
Hit up the thread [NOT PMs, thanks] with questions or suggestions if you feel like it.

September 1, 2007: Happy September guys! I'm planning an auction for sometime soon. It will be based on your typical summer memories, and there will be four available. Once the auction is said and done, updates for the PBs belonging to active members will also happen. Other events for the future are planned as well, don't worry if you want a panda but don't like auctions. Don't ask about customs right now.
I also plan on reorganizing the first page [trying to make it less word-y if possible] as well as making a different set-up to present furniture.
Panda Box is also welcoming anyone willing to contribute as the year gets busier with the start of school and the such. Anyone who has any ideas for the thread or would like to volunteer themselves, feel free to post or hit up the guild. The positive reaction and the amount of support and volunteers are wonderful. Once a system gets organized, there'll officially be jobs and the like for helpers. What you can do now is spread the work and join/post in the guild and this thread. Ideas, questions, and suggestions also rock.
August 24, 2007: Panda Box is now under new management. Faforechao is handling PB affairs. More info later. In the meantime, check out and fill out the PBer Input Survey in the guild. Page 1173 info post too.

The pandas that will be availble here in the Panda Box store are a special breed of panda that hatch from eggs! They're small and social, just like humans, and live somewhat like we do. They have their own homes and gardens, and can even visit each other.

** NOTE **: A new version of the tag will be put in this post. You can find the older notes can be found on this post. The new version is known as the "400x400 Tag System", or you can just call it the "new one." Either way, the following text is describing the new system. Any questions can be asked in the thread.

To Upgrade:

For those of you who have owned previous PandaBoxes, you can still run on the old system. You can find the link to the old system explanation (though some of it has changed as the shop progressed, ask if you have any questions) in the above paragraph. If you'd like to change to the new system, it will cost 800 gold. I may or may not have to reconstruct your house to fit the new box. If your house goes over 450px in height and 500px in width, then I will have to reconstruct your home, and an additional 150 gold will be needed. Do not worry: all items, pandas, food, etc. will be transfered over. You also start off with a fresh "Life" Meter.

Flatsale Rules

You can only nab one egg at a time.
I will pick a page number where the form posting begins. Once the thread reaches that page, form posting can start (even if you post your form and it's the first post on the appropriate page, it will count).
You CANNOT go back and edit your post to change the egg number if you see someone took the egg you want. You MUST repost.
Pure gold only, no item substitutions (except for Donation items). Price must be at the tektek price at the time/day of the post/flatsale.
Feel free to prepare your form ahead of time.
If you don't get one, don't complain - there will be more chances.
Form must be filled out correctly (and with my form) to count. All other formats will be considered invalid.
About Proxying (getting a panda for someone else): It is allowed. You can get one for yourself also, but as long as they're in two different posts.
Trades should be sent after I confirm who the flatsale winners are. I will confirm after I have finished making them.

Auction Rules

Do not start bidding until I say you can/the appropriate page is reached or the appropriate time is reached.
Donation Items/Letters (sealeds included), Uncommons, or Rares can be used @ the tektek price
A minimum of 100g increase.
If the AutoBuy is reached, the auction is over.

Valentine '06 Panda Info (Based off the "old" system.)

These pandas have a vitality level of 5 total (which starts when they're an adult)! More levels can be bought by the recipient of the panda.
Food must either be bought at the time of order before the recipient gets the panda, or after by the recipient.
Pandas can be bought accessory items by the recipient, however no furniture can be bought for this specific home (however, inventory is not shown)!

There are a few ways you can obtain a panda on your own. Here Flatsale, Auction, and Raffle Dates (and sometimes events if you can get a panda from it) will be shown here and in the Upcoming Events post.

If you're planning on buying a panda, then follow these steps to give your panda a home!

Also, throughout these steps you will sometimes be asked a color. Please use the following chart for reference (only these colors can be picked). You can find the form in the "code" box at the bottom of this post.

STEP 1: Pick a room size.
Rooms come in three different sizes, and each size costs a different amount. Rooms are in small, medium, and large. The Small (or "Basic" wink sized room can hold 2 pandas. Medium holds 3, and large holds 4 pandas. If you have more pandas, you'll need to buy more rooms.

Small: +100, Medium: +175, Large: +250

STEP 2: Pick a floor for the room.

#1 - 4: +10g
#5 - 8: +15g

STEP 3: Pick a BG Layer for the wall, and a color (use chart) for this pattern. (+15g)

STEP 4: Pick a top (foreground) layer for the wall, and a color (use chart) for this pattern. [Optional] (+10g)

STEP 5: Do you want to add another room? (Price depends on size.)
-----------------& If YES, repeat 1 - 5.
-----------------& If NO, continue to Step 6.

STEP 6: Do you want an outdoor area? (+120g)
-----------------& If YES, continue to Step 7.
-----------------& If NO, go to Step 12.

STEP 7: Pick an outdoor area size.
Outdoor area sizes are the same as regular room sizes.

Small: +100, Medium: +175, Large: +250

STEP 8: Pick a ground.

#1 - 3: +20g
#4 - 6: +30g

STEP 9: Pick a BG Layer for the scenery. (+20g)

STEP 10: Pick a Foreground layer for the scenery. [Optional] (+15g)

STEP 11: Add another outdoor area?
-----------------& If YES, repeat 7 - 11.
-----------------& If NO, continue to Step 12.

STEP 12: Add stairs? (+15g / +20g)
The stairs' colors are changed to match the room they are coming from. you can add stairs to a room and either up or down. Type 1 stairs (the one furthest left), are 15 gold. Type 2 (the spiral stairs) are 20 gold.

STEP 13: Items...
---& If you want to buy Furniture, make sure to note of which room you want it in (numbering the rooms is a good way to label them).
---& You get 20 free bamboo pieces (if it's your first PB).

STEP 14: If you want to add extra Life Levels...
Each level is +15o gold, and you can have a total of 9 buys (19 bubbles total).
Reseting levels (no matter how many you have) will cost 1500 gold.

Want a bigger home for your panda? You can buy normal rooms (above) for your V-Day panda! The original home will be floating above the house, and a ladder will be dropped down into the home! This is only available to Valentine Panda owners. You cannot order a ladder otherwise. This costs 150g + any additional housing + items.

Shot (120g): The shot instantly cures any illness your panda may have, but many do not like it because it's... scawey. ;_;

Image quality lower and watermarked... Majority of the furniture made by Faforechao. I suggest putting the name of the furniture on the form and the letters. Remember, think of the sizes of your rooms and furniture. Don't order more furniture than can reasonably fit in the room!

When two pandas of opposite gender mate, they produce about 3 eggs at a time. Breeding can take from 1 day to a week, depending on each of your pandas' moods! However, if two pandas have interacted a lot through RP or other means, there might be more than 3 eggs! Gender cannot be chosen of the offspring. How much will it cost? It depends.

If you have 2 pandas and are a single owner...
It will only cost you 250 gold! You get to keep the egg, but you must get another habitat for it if you don't have room.

If you have 2 pandas and each one belongs to a different owner...
It will cost you 300 Gold. You can have one person pay the full price or split it 150 each (do note which one). You each get one egg for free, and decide what you're going to do with the other one. If you do not have space, the egg needs to get another habitat.

About Extra Eggs...
If you're a single owner or a partnership, there will be extra eggs. If you want another egg (besides the free one) you just need to pay 250 gold for the egg... If you have another space. If you don't, you're going to need to buy another space as well as the egg. Of course, you can always go down to the "Buying Eggs" section and sell your extra eggs. n.n

Egg Color Mixes
For the eggs, there will always be a similar combination. The first egg (1) is called the "Light Hybrid". The second egg (2) is called the "Dark Hybrid", and the last egg (3) is called "Hybrid". Of course this depends on how many eggs the two pandas produce. Look at the number over the egg to find out which color mix they are.

Buying Eggs
To the Owner(s) of the Egg: If you'd like to, you can sell your egg to someone else. The price for each egg is 300g. The person buying the egg sends this 300g TO YOU. The rest of the payment (items, habitat, etc.) gets sent to me.

To the Buyer of the Egg: You can buy an egg from a person(s) that have bred their Pandas and are willing to sell the last egg(s) to you. Of course, you need to get their approval. If they say yes, and you're going to buy the egg, you fill out the form as usual, then send 300g to THE OWNER of the egg, and the rest of the fees (for the habitat, items, etc.) to Knil Chan.

Any eggs' gender that is crossed out under the couples' names have been taken already by the original owner(s).

Your panda can be sent to the Adoption Center for several reasons:

You drop it off here. This is if you have no time to come and care for your pet. The abandon fee is 300 Gold.
Your panda gets very sick and is not treated properly.
You don't visit frequently, and your panda gets a low mood on its meter.

** There will be NO refunds for abandoned pets taken! **

To Adopt a Panda:
You must write a small paragraph (at least 200 words) saying why you would be a good owner for the pet you would like to adopt. I will then decide who will get the panda. Paragraphs are to be posted via the thread.

If you are chosen, there is an adoption fee of 150 gold. If you already have a panda, and would like to add it onto your current ones, just ask, and it will be done. However, if you need space, you'll need to get more room.

Panda Letter Economy
A.K.A. PLE

This is similar to Gaia's Donation Letters. There are several points to this, so before I get to the list, let me explain the system.

How to Get a Letter

If you have a Panda or two and a holiday is coming up (EX: Valentine's Day), each of your Pandas gets a letter!
Each letter is 150 gold during its month.
Instead of making the letters here like Gaia where you can buy off other people depending on the demand for the letter, I've decided on a different system (just 'cause the other one is a bit tedious to handle). The month the letter comes out, that letter will be worth 150 gold. Every month it increases 45% of what it was the previous month. So, for example, the Birthday Letter came out in Feburary. It was worth 150 gold in Feb. Now that it is March, its value increases 45%. (150 x 1.45 = 210) The new value of the Birthday Letter in March is now 210 gold each! Old letters can be bought as if you would buy an item. Just place an order and send the trade. Prices will be "maxed out" when it reaches 500 gold.

How much does it cost, you ask? Well, it's free for 8 spots! That's right. You get a free storage with a default 8 spaces. Each space holds 1 item. You can get extra spaces though if you need it. If you need more space, each extra 2 spaces costs 25 gold! (+2 spaces = 25 gold). You must get them in multiples of 2 (+2, +4, +6, etc.)

This is the old "Version 2" tag style explanation. This is for previous users to reference who decided not to upgrade to the new tag style. Some things are tweaked, but not written down. Post in the thread, addressing Knil, if you have any questions on the old system. DO NOT reference this if you're using the new 400x400 tag system!

The Diagram
Here you can see I have (slightly faded and) labeled the Panda Box tag. Most are pretty much self explanitory, but I'll go into detail for each one, anyway.

(1)Panda: This is your little pet and friend. They need care and love, and of course lots of room to play in. You can name your panda, and - if you want - roleplay them with other owners.

(2)Home: Where your panda lives indoors. This is a new addition to Panda Box (and of course the 3D perspective). You can customize the walls and floors with colors and patters, and furniture can be bought to fill your panda's home to give it a happy enviornment.

(3)Enviornment: Basically the front or back yard of your panda's home. They can play outside, and if you want, they can take care of a garden and grow food (and even go fishing if they have a pond)!

(4)Names: Your panda(s) name(s) are displayed here! Up to two pandas can live in a "basic" sized home (4x4 small square). To tell your names apart, their colors will be displayed next to their name.

(5)Owner: Your username goes here (unless you want to put something else on the tag). This is to help keep thieves off, and of course, remind your pandas who lives them. ^o^

(6)Vitality Level/Meter: This is another new feature I've added to Panda Box. In Version 1, Pandas would continue living. Seeing as that my time is not as much these days, I've decided to add this meter. Everytime your panda eats 5 pieces of food, a bubble ( User Image

) is colored in to a light blue ( User Image

). Every time the meter of bubbles is filled, it will reset, and a level will be added. When your panda reaches Level 10, I will ask you to save it to your server. Just note two things:
1) Your panda's bubbles don't start filling until they are an adult, and
2) You can buy more "levels" to continue keeping your panda interactable.

(7)Fun Level/Meter: Another new feature added! For every toy or something fun you buy your panda, it goes up a bubble. For every event you and/or your panda participate in, 1 - 3 bubbles can be filled (depending on how much your participate/the magnitude of the event). Also, if you roleplay (though it's not required) bubbles can be filled as well! Unlike the Vitality meter, there is no limit to the levels the Fun meter can go to. However, bubbles may not fill as quickly if your panda is in a bad mood... Be sure to take care of it!

( cool Food Count & Mood: The food pandas have is still the same - the yummy bamboo mix they love. (This might change later on to regular food as I continue to work out a new system, but for now, it'll be this as of Jan. 2006). Pandas will eat on their own - you just need to refill their food every once in a while. If you don't, they can get sick or mad at you.

To the left are the different icons, which are similar to the previous Panda Box. The top set (blue) is when they're healthy, and the bottom (orange-ish) is when they're sick. From left to right on the top: Very Happy (1), Happy/Content (2), Okay (3), Annoyed/Mad (4), Unhappy (5), Depressed/Unloved (6), Deathly Depressed/Dead (7). Now from Left to Right on the bottom for the sickness moods: Recovering (1), Sick but okay (2), Sick and not feeling any better (3), Deathly sick/Dead (4).

To get your panda's mood up, buy it toys, more food, or show it some love (meaning roleplaying, if you want to). If they're sick, you can buy them three different kinds of medicine (see the store for more details).

(9)Inventory: This is where items are displayed. Pretty simple, no?

Old Updates
Woot! I'm back everybody! And with a vengence! After having numerous hiatuses (or hiatui?) I've decided to - once again - attempt and return to run my wonderful little shop of pixel pandas hatching from eggs with very interactable environments and such! It'll take a while to get back on the road, but I hope everything runs smoothly as it once did.

If you're wondering why I return, it is not for the money or for the sake of being back on Gaia. The community of PB has shown much support for this shop (posting when I haven't been gone, keeping high hopes that I return), and all the friends I have made.

Please, however, do be warned I'm a very busy student and have plans on going onto college, so if things do not get done right away or things get shakey, then please have patience. I do have my own life, and a majority of the time, my dissapearance is because of real life. Thank you for showing respect.

Anyways, yes. I cell pixelated pandas that hatch from eggs, and they live in very civilized environments. 'nuff said.

April 14, 2oo7: Hey, another update from me seeing as how I have a lot of stuff to talk about. I'll get to the immediate stuff, seeing as how I know everyone is eager when there are panda... UPDATES!

I still have one comission to do (yes, that's you Waterbender; I'm doing the panda and, if done before the auction is done, Panda Lily is sending me the home). Other than that, regular pandas are updated by the wonderful Faforechao and Panda Lily. It's actually kinda nice having a bit of staff now.

Valentine's Pandas are hatched/getting hatched by chewyurfood and watchingmidnight. Some are finished, and the others should be hatching soon! Thanks a bunch to those two for their work. ^^

So, yeah, I have staff. But the thing is, PB is still a big hassle, especially with all the interactive stuff that goes into it. The letters haven't been updated since the summer, and the item racks are getting dusty. Breeding has just not been an option, and I haven't really gone through any pandas to put up for adoption. To sum it all up: PB is getting to be so big, I don't know if I can eat everything that's on the plate.

Thus, I have numerous propositions. One is to wait for all the current pandas to grow out to be adults and convert them to - yet another - system, for free (if owners are active, of course). I've yet to start anything, but I'm planning on it to be very simplified while still being customizeable. I know interaction was a big thing here, but with my growing agenda, I don't know how often I can be online to do those sort of things or give the staff everything they need. To be honest, I still feel slightly insecure running this with other people, only because of my quality control OCD; but that doesn't mean the current staff is doing a bad job. It's just me, no worries.

I'll be coming up with the "box version" (the one I was just talking about) prototypes soon so people can see and fully decide.

Alright, so there are other options. I can lower the "life time" of the pandas until a box's pandas are all adults, then the pandas would have to be saved to the user's server or just lower the levels down to 5. There's also removing the PLE, seeing as how it's dying anyway. No more items and the like will be added, and we'll run on a dumbed down version of PB, which is basically this just less options (not like anyone is buying from the PLE anyway).

I've pondered selling/auctioning PB, but I figured - hey, this is my creation. I couldn't stand to see my work with other people without my supervision, only because I had a plan for this store.

If you have any suggestions/concerns, PM Panoo. Thanks guys - you're an awesome community that has developed over the years, and the last thing I want to do is dissapoint the people that helped made PB what it is. I'm trying to do my best. ^^

Oh, by the way: staff, check the crew forum in the guild! I'm going to be doing a page revamp soon, depending on what happens, and I want to have a staff profile post. So... Yeah, go to the forum.

April 6, 2oo7: Wow, it's been almost a month! xD Alright, I posted this on, what, page 989 explaining my abscence:

"Hey everyone, sorry for my abscence. D: School's been catchin' up, and before Footloose! was consuming my life.

That's not to say my life still isn't busy. AP exams are next month, and I have SAT classes until the end of this month since my SAT is also next month. I'm on Spring Break now, so I've decided to get back on this thing...

Yeah, go figure, I didn't set up anything for the hired peeps to do before I dissapear, ha... Well, I'll be getting to that soon so, staff, check the staff forum in the guild in about 1/2 - hour. I'll post again, but just to be sure.

I'm sorry I didn't do any of the events on the main page, either. Seems like I aimed too high. xD I'm going to updating the front page soon.

Anyway, I'm working on setting up and giving stuff to the staff. As of right now, Faforechao is working on an 1000 page event (she doesn't know what is exactly yet, but it'll be for people w/o pandas; also, take your time going to page 1000, or she might have to edit the event slightly). I, on the other hand, will be having an Easter event soon. Can someone say... Grunny auction? More details later.

March 9, 2oo7: Alright, first of all, for those of you who don't know "FYI/fyi" means "for your information," usually with an attitude. Either way, I don't mean it in this negative connotation because I do indeed have information for you concerning the recent lack of activity and updates. I also have people who will be new employees (yeah, I took out the third trail, only because I've waited so long until now, and I could use the help now xD).

So lately school's piled up work on me. Well, not as much, but the thing is it's an amount that can become cumbersome when you're in school 'til 5:00 rehearsing for a musical. I also am workin' on sets and making some graphics for the production. It's been quite busy.

Also, this coming week I'll be starting my SAT classes (again, I hate them...). They'll be going even further into the night (the days that I have practice tests are 'til 9pm!). They're after rehearsal, so it just extends my time at school since the classes are held there. It's quite a hassle, and these won't be finished until April...

Speaking of which, I should warn you all now, I'll be going away for a weekend in May for my Junior class trip to Washington, D.C. It's an overnight stay, and although I'm bringing my laptop, I doubt I'll have enough time to myself to do anything significant. My friends a crazy. xD

So, I said something about the potential-employees... Well, I'm hiring two of you out of the 4 that sent me back entries. They're pretty good, but I'm kinda, eh, I guess dissapointed is the right word, though it sounds like they suck - which they don't! A mistake everyone made is that the pixels fit with each other! A lot of you were slightly off in placing them, thus making sloppy edges. However, a lot of you manipulated the furniture correctly and everything. The pandas were very nice, too.

So, congratulations emoechee and Panda Lily! With tying scores of 95% on my grading, they will be the new employees here at PB. ^^ You'll be getting a PM from me soon concerning some "business" things and then some of your first tasks.

Thank you everyone else who participated. You are all going to be considered next time I need help or other such things. Don't worry, as PB community members, you're still awesome. ^^

Feb. 21, 2oo7: FOR THE BIRTHDAY EVENT WINNERS!
Here are the previews to the Pokemon eggs. They're first-generation starters, meaning the infamous Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle! I'll PM the first winner and ask their preference, take out what the pick, etc.

After you each pick your Pokemon, you each get an amount to spend in Panda Box: 6K, 3K, and 1K, respectively. These are merely approximations of what you can "buy" from the shop. If you go a few hundred below or over, it's okay. As long as you don't go over 500 of what you were alloted!

For everyone else... I'll be hatching Valentine pandas tomorrow - I'm going to wait for Birthday event orders to come in so I can do everything at once. Those of you who have named your pandas, they'll be added. I saw this question asked several times, but: there are no ladder upgrades! You either leave them in the jar, or buy a home for them. If you keep them in the jar, they will be simply-animated, and have 5 life levels. You can buy up to 2 toys for them that will fit in their jar!

I also might be able to get in a general update - especially those with sushi pandas. After some consideration, I've decided that these pandas will immediately hatch to their adult stage. Don't worry, they're well worth it. xD

Feb. 18, 2oo7: BIRTHDAY EVENT INFO

Alright guys, I hope you all like riddles, 'cause you'll be solving a few to be able to win a Pokemon Panda from this event (starters, anyone?). [Previews coming soon.]

There will be three winners for this event.

First place get's to pick the Pokeball they want first, and get 6K worth of spending for the basics and other panda stuff!
Second place get's a second choice of panda plus 3K worth of spending!
Third place gets the last panda plus 1K worth of spending on their panda.

So... What's the catch? Well, some pretty hard riddles. The answers to these riddles will be page numbers of this thread. There, search for a post by me that contains a clue word. Take this clue word down. There are 10 mini-riddles, thus 10 clues.

Now, if you get all these words, you have to unscramble them. There's a certain order. With the list of clues, I'll give you a hint to figuring out the order if you can't unscramble it.

Think you're done after that? Nope, not yet. The phrase is from a song. When you figure out the song (a hint to what song it is will be included), then...

Feb. 11, 2oo7: HIRING INFO: -- For a long time I've let my pride and OCD over quality control come in my path for hiring some help. However, now that I'm getting older, high school's slowly getting a bit heavier, and I'm findingother things to do, I've decided it's time to get some helper(s)...

So, I'm going to be hiring. However, I'm going to have three trails for the hiring process...

The first trial is simply an "essay" if you will (I know we all hate this, but it's gotta be done). In at least 250 words, all of the following points should be hit upon. However, feel free to structure the "essay" however you wish.

How often you are on regularly, your vacation patterns, how long your computer sessions are, etc.
What you can offer me and Panda Box
Your work ethic (be honest - I'm a procrastinator, but I get to things eventually).
What sort of program knowledge you have and what programs you use.
And, hypothetically speaking, if you could run PB as if it were your own, explain how.

This will probably be open until my birthday or something or the other. I will read through them, sort out the people who I think can qualify for the next trail. Those who don't make the first trail will not have a chance at being hired anymore. If you DO make it, you continue on (sounding like a contest... But I really want THE BEST).

The second trail each could-be employee will be sent pieces to construct a Panda Box. There will be 2 things to do. The first is to specifically fill out an order (that I will make up), and the "entrants" are to construct this and put it into the specifics I require (such as .jpg final copy, an organized .bmp, or whatever I think up of on that day). The second will be to, using an original panda base, to make 3 would-be flatsale pandas. Specifics will be included when this day comes.

The final trail is customer opinion of you. Basically, a judge other than myself. The task is still pending.

If you wanna work for panda box (pay is based on the amount of work you do for a week or two - details can be worked out later if someone(s) is hired), and make some money and join a great community, start by sending the "essay" to me, Knil Chan, with "PB Hiring" in the title. I expect all the stops you do for school. Grammar check and whatnot.

Jan. 17, 2oo7: Hey, guys! Been a while. Well, the auction is over, and I added some dates to both the Availabilty post and the Events post, so check those out. Congratulations to Blue_thief for winning the Mermaid auction, and 'grats to watchingmidnight for winning the bumping contest!

There will be an pet-update this Saturday/Sunday evening. Get all orders in by then! If you place an order after Sunday, you will have to wait 'til the end of that week for the next update.

Jan. 6, 2oo7: Happy New Years everyone. ^^ Hope everyone had a good one for 2oo7! As you know, I've been revamping, and pretty much everything is done. Orders will officially open tomorrow. My new system of updating is probably going to do any forms from Thursday - Saturday, and regular updates will be every other week or so. I need to see how my schedule will be since school's been a bit more intense, midterms are coming up, and I have musical rehearsals now. xD Anyway, AUCTION TIME! What a great way to start off, ne?

The auction will actually start today at around 4:3o - 5: oo PM (-5 GMT/EST). The auction? A Mermaid tank with the special Mermaid Panda included!
