Description: An unnamed elf, living in the forest. She watches humans from afar, intrigued by their daily activities and rituals. She especially likes the winter time, when the shining lights suddenly become abundant and splayed on seemingly everything. Lights on trees, for what purpose? She's able to sneakily steal some from an unaware human and tries it for herself, but it's harder than it looks... How do the humans not become wrapped up in this stuff?! Must be some kind of magic.

It is the year 2069. Humanity is in shambles after a sudden and violent space invasion from terrifying promiscuous creatures of unknown origin. The last few remaining humans keep to bunkers in a last ditch effort to stay alive and free, as the creatures immediately began taking slaves after arrival. It's Christmas time (or is it? No one really knows anymore) in the bunker and to keep from despair, the humans decorated. Gifts were handmade out of what little they had and wrapped under the tree, in hopes of inspiring holiday cheer. All was as well as could be, until...

"Hey, what is... that!?"
"What! How could they find us here!? And what is it wearing!?"
"Where did it find champange!?"
"Run!!!"
As the humans panic and scatter, the creature giggled.
"Like what you see?" She asked huskily, advancing towards the humans with hungry intent. heart

Tokyo Godfathers
Miyuki is a young teenage runaway. She left home after an ordeal she cannot bring herself to think about, let alone talk about. Along with fellow homeless, trans woman Hana and alcoholic Gin, Miyuki finds herself involved in an adventure to find the parents of a baby tossed aside in a garbage heap. It's Christmas Eve, is it possible a miracle will happen?

Tokyo Godfathers is an amazing movie, one I watch every year during this season. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it! It's made by Satoshi Kon, a legend in the anime world. He's also behind movies such as Millenium Actress, Paprika, and Perfect Blue. All are incredible, but Tokyo Godfathers is my favorite. I chose Miyuki for my inspiration because I feel like she's often the most overlooked character in the film. Some may say she's spoiled and childish, but I find her to be brave and outgoing and full of kind emotions. She's also ruled by teenage angst, making her actions a bit brash at times. Always though, in the end, she's a strong-headed girl with a good heart.

I believe Tokyo Godfathers is available on Tubi to watch for free, but it's also been recently re-released physically in 4k with a new English dub. The voice behind Hana in the dub is an actual trans woman, which I think is wonderful. I hope this inspires some to check it out!

I originally tried to make this cosplay with gold shop or super cheap items since she's living on the streets, buuuut her hats made that difficult. Layering the beanie and hat was an ordeal. This is also my first ever cosplay avi! It was surprisingly difficult. haha

In the dead of night, days after Christmas, they come. They come for the naughty children. The children that thought they got off easy with just a lump of coal in their stockings. Santa is too soft... they're here to right that wrong. You won't hear them coming. And children, believe me when I say you won't even have time to scream. It will be a silent night, a deadly night. And there's nothing you can do. Your fate has been sealed.

They know when you're sleeping. They know you've been bad. So watch out, or else they'll take you away in the middle of the night, never to be seen again. And you don't want to know what they'll do to you. These reindeer are on the hunt for naughty children, so be good for goodness sake.

Oh my, what could be under here??

Kiki and Coco are the strange, black sheep sisters of the Elf Workshop. No one knows where they came from, and quite frankly, no one really wants to know. One day they just showed up. No one even knows if they're really sisters. They say they are, but they don't even look the same. Weird, right? And, even weirder, despite numerous efforts from the other elves, the two strange girls always return.

Kiki, the redhead, always has a demented look on her face but rarely speaks. She runs around the shop, creating toys that appear to be cute and wellmade, but they move on their own... and sometimes it almost seems like Kiki is whispering to them as if they were alive. One elf told me that one of her toys bit him when he got too close! It was never proven to be true, but that elf has since quit.

Coco, the younger sister, is even more troubling. She has some sort of... teddy bear army, I guess? They march behind her as she paces around outside the shop. No one knows why she does this or what exactly the teddies are. But her expressions are often... frightening. She's always hungry. The teddies are always bringing her snacks from who knows where. And she's always seen drinking a cup of... well, we don't ask or want to know. She doesn't say much either, but she is always marching. And her teddies are always searching...

This is Little Mabel. Little Mabel loves winter. She loves to be outside in the cold so very much. Today is the first true day of winter, where the snow spontaneously creeped in and covered the ground overnight. Little Mabel was so excited! As soon as she woke up, she threw on a quick layer of clothes and bounded out the door. Wandering into the nearby forest with her hot chocolate in hand, Little Mabel took in the sights around her. How wonderful it is, the glistening white softening the sounds and decorating the nature all around her! Little Mabel happily began building herself a little snowfriend.

So involved in building her little snowfriend, Little Mabel didn't realize the snow beginning to drastically pick up. The wind started to whip, the flurries swirling around viciously. Little Mabel finished her friend and looked up, surprised. Her face reddened with the cold, fingers numb inside her mittens, and her hot chocolate empty. The wind easily chilled her entire body through her thin layer of clothes. Little Mabel smiled. "I love winter!" Her little snowfriend beside her seemed to smile, too.

Christmas day is over and Sally got everything she wanted and more. So many teddies!
As soon as dinner was over, she ran to her room so she could be surrounded by her gifts.
She was so happy!
...Maybe a little... too happy...
Later that night, with everyone else asleep, no one heard the ominous chanting coming from Sally's room.
The bedroom lights were dimmed, candles were lit, and Sally sat still as could be, comfortably surrounded by her beloved gifts.
Sally continued to quietly chant, the sounds of the night beginning to all go silent.
The family dog, who always slept in Sally's room each night, awoke.
Her eyes were an unnatural, slimey green.
The teddies surrounding Sally began to twitch and shudder.

No one was aware how deadly the night would soon turn...

In this little town in the mountains, there is a legend. A legend so old, no one knows how it got started or whom was first to tell it. In the ancient, abandonded cemetery deep within the woods, a beautiful woman is known to appear. But only in the winter, during heavy snows. According to the legend, the woman has hair white-as-snow and skin so pale and perfect it seems she is made of marble. She is known to wear a simple traditional kimono and always carries with her a parasol. But be warned - do not approach her, and if she invites you under her parasol to take refuge from the storm, under no circumstances do you go. For if you get too close, she will take your soul.

Yuki Onna translates to Snow Woman in Japanese. She is a well-known youkai of Japanese folklore and is often portrayed in various media. Her tale varies greatly, but in general she is a beautiful woman who appears in the snow, luring travelers or any she comes across with her beauty only to suck away their energy. I love mythology and youkai in general, so as soon as I saw this prompt I knew I wanted to do a spin off the Yuki Onna. I love me some deadly beautiful ladies.

Francesca is on her way to a work Christmas party. A mandatory work Christmas party. On a Saturday.

'Dress festively', the email had said. Francesca sighed, and before leaving the house, added a string of battery-operated silver lights to her scarf. Somehow she felt her sweater wasn't 'festive' enough, despite the snowflakes on it. She had a feeling she would hear all about it come Monday morning.

There he go!!! It's the Mouse King!
Here is the lore on how this avi was created... because I know nothing about The Nutcracker.
Not a single thing. I was frightened by this prompt. It haunted me. It was the last one I created.
I Google'd The Nutcracker and upon some brief searching, BEHOLD. I discovered there is a Mouse King. I must be him. I do not care who else exists within this Nutcracker world. I. am. Mouse. King.

Searching my inventory, I remembered I had the Cherry Country Mouse item. It has a tail! Brilliant. We'll start there. After more searching, I happened upon the legs and then the face... and it was then I knew what I must do.

Look at him go! Bounding across the stage. It is the Mouse King!! Is he accurate? I don't really know! Do I love him? Yes!! Look at his silly little legs go, his face so stern and ready to fight the serious fight!

Susie did not want to go caroling.

Every year, her parents wanted to do something different as a family 'bonding' experience. Last year it was gingerbread houses and gingerbread men, but the houses ended up being heaps of broken cookie with icing everywhere, including Susie's hair. Her mom yelled at her for biting off the heads of the gingerbread men.

The year before that, it was ice skating. It didn't last very long. Susie's dad somehow took a skate to the knee and ended up in the emergency room. Susie's mom yelled at her for laughing and making jokes, ones her mother didn't understand but didn't like nonetheless.

This year it was caroling in the park at some event Susie didn't bother to remember the details of. This had to be the worst idea yet. It was extremely cold out and as soon as they left the house it of course started to snow. Instead of driving, her mother wanted them to walk and sing the whole way there. Susie was wearing what she considered a ridiculous outfit, stupid hat included, that her mother insisted she wear the whole time.

"You can't take it off, dear." Susie's mother had said. "It's part of the fun and you need to fit the part! A caroler must be festively dressed!" Susie felt her patience dimenishing. As they strolled through town, they happened to walk by other kids who went to Susie's school. She could hear their snickers.

Susie's couldn't take it anymore. Her mother's singing was a maddening screech. Her father was cracking dumb jokes in-between songs. It was just her family singing. Everyone else was staring. Kids were pointing. Her head was pounding from the ringing of the caroling bells, her feet were cold and wet from walking in shoes made solely just to look cute, and she couldn't bare to hear another Christmas song.

Susie snapped. Her face scrunched into a scowl as her father cracked a joke about reindeer before her parents started off on singing Rudolph. She saw red and began shouting in-between the singing.

"Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer!"
"DIE!"
"...Had a very shiny nose?"
"DIE!!"
"...and if you ever saw it..."
"DIE!!!!"

Her parents quit singing and dragged her away. Her mother yelled at her on the way home.

Mrs. Claus does a lot, but rarely does she get credit. Every knows Mr. Santa Claus, but what about Mrs. Santa Claus?

She is the matriarch of the North Pole.
She oversees Toy Production and manages the elf teams, ensuring all are running smoothly.
She tends to the reindeer, feeding and grooming and pampering them tediously.
She makes certain the entire workshop, inside and out, is spotless and glistening.
Any problems that may arise? You go see Mrs. Claus.

And at the end of Christmas night, when Mr. Claus returns, sore and weary from traveling all over the Earth, she is always prepared to welcome him home for a job well done.

And Mr. Claus is always overjoyed to see her.
