Greetings, Gaians!
Now that spring is in full swing, it's the perfect time to do some cleaning! The database ending up requiring some additional maintenance, so we started our spring spruce there. Next on the list was an update to Gaia's web servers for better stability and security. We were ultimately successful...but not before part of the process resulted in a few hours of downtime this past week. Can't make an update omelet without breaking a few server eggs?? (｡>﹏< ) In any case, apologies for the inconvenience!
We've also turned our attention to some work on the shop system. One of our most persistent problems has been so-called "leaving lag." That is, when items that should have left remained visible in the shop but not purchasable. Frustrating! But this issue should finally be fixed!
You may have already noticed this change, but in case you haven't, we wanted to let you know that you can now favorite your own avatar right after saving! We're also planning to further expand the favoriting feature to allow Gaians to better manage their library.
Lastly, we hinted last month that a spring event would pop up sometime in April...and that's still true! You can expect it to start very soon, so stay tuned! And that's all for now, friends! Looking forward to seeing you next month!
