I see it get asked frequently how to turn your YouTube video into a tiny play/pause button.
I don't want to keep having to search my post history for it, so I'm giving it its own thread.

A Guide To Making Smol Player (v1 and v2)

Here you go!

Questions

Q: It's pink? Can I change the color?
A : Change background: magenta on line 4.

Q: How do I move the player to somewhere else on the page?
A : Change the top (or use bottom) and left (or use right) values on lines 8 and 9.

Q: I have a theme already. Where should I paste this code?
A : Just at the bottom will do.

Q: I did that and it's not working.
A : Your existing theme may conflict with it. Post for help.

Q: I have another question.
A : Post to ask!

ok so w8 i have a new idea,
WHAT IF i want the panel to show as well as the header for it
n then the video would show up in the panel as the YT Play + Pause Button
would that be possible?

If you're going to keep the media panel at regular width, I'd recommend using a full control bar, like I have on my profile.

1: It looks like your media is configured correctly for auto-play, so any problem with that will be due to your browser.
2: Media table?

Also you need to fix the profile header. You're not allowed to make it invisible.

I tried implementing this on my best friend's profile, and functionally it works fine, but I can't get it to layer the way I want it to. Are there any weird specifics about how masking iframes works with z-index, or do I just need to keep fiddling with it? The profile in question is Tiny Catty's, and I want the music player to sit right on top of the last tab on the right. Right now I have it spilling out to the right side, so I can easily see whether it's working, broken, or misplaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you for your time!
