Yes we'll add this to the to-do list. Will have to run this through with the mod team to ensure that it cannot be abused by hackers and what not.

Tried to find items with a minimum or maximum of 10,000,000 plat or more. I want to be able to see if there are any items in my inventory that are inflated in the MP. This error started occurring after the gc ratio in the MP was changed a few days ago.

We do not have an en mass policy to just remove user names from users who have been gone in case they come back. That being said, you can submit a ticket to the Help Center asking for a single name. We will look into the feasibility of releasing the name if sufficient time has gone by without the user logging in.

Even if we do remove the name from that account that will not guarantee YOUR being able to claim it! When Gaia first started it was possible to use symbols/punctuation/spaces and other characters. Due to changes in the architecture of our databases at one point we could no longer support that feature as it no longer differentiated those symbols/punctuation/spaces. To the current database they all look the same. What this means is if waaaaaaaaay back then I had the name Jak Bauer, and another user had Jak.Bauer both of those names were valid.

We did grandfather it in so the current users at the time were not unduly affected but that means even if we change Jak Bauer to be a number the system would still see Jak.Bauer and say the name is in use as it wouldn’t see the . at all.

Hi staff

I've been reporting spam in some forums, and seen none of it being taken care of. My question is...can you guys please assign more mods/FAs to the boards that get a ton of spam like this? I've done my part to report the spam and feel it's not being removed.

I've also applied to be an FA and/or moderator. I also realize that there's no time frame given for when new FAs and mods are needed. I just felt like this needed brought up as spam has been in some forums for days.


We have actually been through several rounds of FA and Mod Application reviews and will in fact be starting a new smaller round of Mod training soon. We got quite a few FA apps so it’s taking longer to go through those but rest assured you will hear back A.S.A.P.

Is Gaia willing to consider changing/updating The Workshop based upon user feedback? I've seen some community member suggestions that could encourage additional Workshop participation.

Examples:
1) Shifting around costs associated with different phases in The Workshop.
Example brainstorm here. I know using an example I contributed to may appear biased. xd I apologize.


2) Implementing incentives (Achievements, flairs and so forth)
This is also quoted in the above example but saving you a click:

If they're not going to change the pricing, at least give use some kind reward for voting/submitting an idea that makes it through. Achievements, flairs, etc. Also, let users crowdfund the cost for submission of a build request as well. 6000gc is a lot for one user to shoulder the entire burden.


That's an interesting thought.... Can you give an example what sort of achievements/flairs/etc. you would think would be a good idea?


For me, some sort of proof that I helped Gaia out through the gaia workshop is more valuable to me than a new item in the cash shop. I'd actually spend the gc I do have left. For flairs, the gaia workshop hammer would be pretty cool. Having the flair soulbound would also make it more special, especially if the only way to get it is by coming up with and funding something to build that helps the site.

Same goes for achievements. Titles like benefactor, donator, supporter, charitable, sponsor, patron. A few of these might already be titles for previous achievements, but stuff like that would be that extra push needed to get people who do want to help, but won't without a little incentive.

Yes, the workshop features is brand new and still have a lot of room for improvements. The team is actively collecting feedback so feel free to bring them up during ATS or in site feedback.

When are we getting a "Male items only" RIG/Bundle? It's a bit annoying that almost everything that gets (re)released has little to nothing for those of us who use male avatars, and just see fluffy, poofy dresses, or items that would be great for males, if they weren't modeled to look feminine.

Posting again, as it was ignored the last time I asked.

Hello, staff! So I recently stumbled back upon the invite function.

I see that there are already some rewards for inviting folk, but are there any other ways we can incentivize existing users to invite newcomers to the site?

I know this is tricky, since the system could be gamed.

Gaia Workshops

I really enjoy the new feature/project that is the Workshop. I've submitted a few things already on this and a mule account!

I would only like to know a rough schedule of how often its checked so that way I don't have to refresh the page every few hours a day to see if theres been an update.
I know this can change day to day, so I wouldn't need any guarantee, just a rough "oh yeah, we usually check it in the morning and look at like 5" or "once every other day sometime in the afternoon" or "After ATS finishes each week"

Also there are a few in voting stage that have welllll surpassed the 40 votes needed and Im just like, is it waiting for something specific to go onto the next stage? Does going from voting to crowdfunding take an aprox like week or more to get the time to estimate the costs?

Id just like to know what to expect is all <3 Pls and thank you
