started with the boots because Xogue kindly gifted them to me

I've been really gravitating towards simpler, more casual avis for a bit. I have to really push myself to make anything else.

Also, I don't like the new closet changes. I miss the pagination. I don't like infinite scroll in general, maybe that's me being old.

This is really cute! I adore those boots, and the color combo works so well together! emotion_yatta

They're such good boots! I love shoemod items like that where they modify the base legs rather than being locked to specific skintones. I'm glad the colors worked out! I threw these eyes on and then tried to find colors that complimented them.

So cute, I love this! I have to agree with you on the wardrobe changes, too. I was surprised when I saw how many folks seemed to like the infinite scroll; I'm always scrolling too far or having it jump backwards when I finally find whatever I'm looking for. Maybe it's because I still use a desktop for gaia instead of a smartphone or tablet, but with a mouse I really struggle with it sweatdrop

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm a desktop user, but I did try it on my phone. It is easier to use on mobile than on desktop because you can just drag with your finger, but the rest of the avi building experience is so painful on mobile that I really don't think it's worth it. I used to use the page search to skip ahead to really old avis and now I feel like I'm constantly losing my place mentally as I'm trying to scroll through them and end up scrolling past the one I want.

threw together new items from the summer sale (hair), old items I had forgotten about (lace bodysuit), items that I finally got that have been on my wishlist for ages (sweater), and playing with funky cuts and layers (turning the overalls into pants)

this skirt might be my favorite new pose from the sale, I love long skirts!

I recently helped a friend out with some achievements that involved these wings, so I tried to make an avi with them before realizing that I needed to be just wearing the wings. I made the one with the shirt and all the trappings first, but then I wanted to show an undressed version as well with the gradient limbs. Which one is better?

They're both very good, but I think the right one is more striking! You have the gradient drawing the eye and focus towards the face, where most of the details lie, but also providing enough contrast to look visually striking. Thank you! I was so delighted with how the art turned out, the avi was pretty simple but I found something compelling about him and the artist captured it perfectly.

I appreciate the input! I made the "undressed" version because I felt like I was covering up the detail I imagined underneath all the regalia and wanted to show what I was envisioning if this were to be a character. I think there is something very nice about how the gradients guide the eye across the avi.

this one is inspired by the book I just finished: Be My Renfield by Carolina Cruz (although I believe the author may be changing their name)
I really wanted to use this book item with the eerie green glow, but it was tricky. Ended up with a simple spooky little guy.
