This event is comprised of several concept contests dedicated to the idea of witches and covens. None of these "witches" have any kind of magical ability -- aside from a close bond with their familiars, and a connection to nature and the swamp!

Each group of witches in this contest is centered around one leader, with the rest of the coven following that leader's philosophy and connection to the swamp. These groups are intended to have connections to each other IC even after the contest is over; there's no requirement that you ever RP them but, if you do, we hope you'll keep those connections in place!

You can enter two concepts per group of witches, with separate preference lists or the same preference list for each entry. Winners will receive both a kin and their matching familiar. These kin have a special bond with these specific familiars; they can sense the emotional state of their familiars, like a very primative communication, and have a loose sense of where their familiar is located.

Each entrant will win at most one kin per group in this event.

What kind of witch is phoenix kiss? Curious, flighty, and drawn to beautiful things, like a bird!

This coven of self-proclaimed witches have their own way of worshiping the MotherFather. Constantly on the move, they search for new experiences and new tales to tell -- and, perhaps guided by their most powerful instinct, beautiful and sparkling things [be it birds, feathers, gemstones, or anything that sparks joy in the soul]. More often than not, they pass along those things to others, to continue the spread of goodness. How they do all of this, however, is completely up to you.

This coven of self-proclaimed witches have their own way of worshiping the MotherFather. Inspired by man's best friend, these band of hunting witches tend to be of the mind that anything can be achieved with hard work and good company. Paired with their trusty gathering sidekicks, this resourceful pack is known for cooking up a mean stew. Their greatest pleasure and goal in life is feeding those in need and sharing their wealth of resources with the less fortunate.

What kind of witch are you?

The final entry of this contest is an opportunity for you to win your own group of familiar-bonded witches! Simply enter a concept like those listed above -- a group of kin who have their own way of worshiping the MotherFather and interacting with the world around them -- as well as an inspiration image for a semi-custom kin.

One lucky winner will get not only their semi-custom kin made, but also a group of four kin and bonded familiars to go along with it, that they can (and must!) give away to four friends. Depending on how much your entries inspire us, other winners may simply get their entry made into a single, semi-custom kin.

HIRING GUEST COLORISTS!

We're sure there's a lot of untapped talent still out there, so we thought we'd toss up another hiring thread, to see what falls in!

All colorists hired from this thread will start as Guest Colorists, with the possibility to become full time later. Guest Colorists are asked to make unedited semi-customs or breedings from the CC threads. All colorist work must be approved by blue before it is sent out, and Guest Colorists cannot do official edited work. Sometimes, Guest Colorists might be asked to contribute to major thread events, submitting on-theme pets for contests, raffles, dice games, or freebies. They will receive all profits for their work, as well as staff credits that can be applied toward free pets/kin.
