I love this scheme! Can anyone jump on in, or do we need to get your permission?
This is an open scheme as far as I'm concerned! I would love if more people jumped on the Independensea bandwagon, even Gaian Artists! More items in more of a variety of styles is always a plus! You do NOT need to show me mocks, and you definitely DO NOT need a screenshot or anything of my approval. If a gaia artist asks you about it, please direct them to this post: I, vodka_vixen, give blanket permission to anyone who wants to recolor or create something in this scheme.
Why so many ombres? I prefer solid-color blocking to ombres!
True. A lot of people do. And this scheme really does look so much better with the freedom of Double Rainbow Ticket rules. However, I am neither made of money nor of gold, and my access to DRTs is very limited. Ombres allowed me to get a crap-ton of Independensea orders in under Rainbow Ticket rules, so that's what I went for. Where available, I have ordered recolors using segregated color blocking!
Why not just drop a color?
Some items I did. The off-white/off-black accents are mostly there to break up the seabreeze/navy ombre. It's also there because I really wanted this scheme to be able to be mixed and matched with a variety of other schemes that also used off-white, off-black, and vintage gold. For this reason, sometimes I will also use either crepe or mahogany.
When you do your own versions of this scheme, it's entirely up to you about where you put your colors and which colors you use!

Lol. Yeah, but that is an unfortunate reality for any user-scheme that hasn't been picked up officially by Gaia. I would adore it if they did officially pick this up, but given the length of time that this scheme has been out, I'm not holding my breath.
